The remoteness from a simple game to a weighted game can be measured by the concept of the dimension or the more general Boolean dimension. It is known that both notions can be exponential in the number of voters. For complete simple games it was only recently shown that the dimension can also be exponential. Here we show that this is also the case for complete simple games with two types of voters and for the Boolean dimension of general complete simple games, which was posed as an open problem.

This study focused on the need of the children’s wear market in Ethiopia (case study in Bahir Dar city) for sizing systems based on accurate and current body measurement tables developed from the actual measurements of children. The objective of this study was to develop standardized measuring methods and techniques which would be relevant to the subsequent development of reliable, accurate and comprehensive body measurement tables for Amhara Region young girls. The study population comprised of children representatives of age 5 to 10 years. A convenience sample was selected from 18 primary schools in Bahir Dar city. Key measurements from the sample were used as a basis for the development of the sizing systems. A statistical analysis of the captured data was done and this facilitated the development of the measurement tables.

In this study, we have found a completely new formula to calculate the area of a trapezoid. Due to the difficulties to determine the area of trapezoid (AOT), our proposed method has thus indicated possible alternative way for finding the AOT which initiates further research and development on a new mathematical formula under study.

There are numerous benefits of having a data protection legislation in place to guide a nation in how to protect the personal data of individuals. These guiding factors maybe transparency, accountability, ensuring rights of the individuals, listing out organizational measures and the compliance to be undertaken, to name a few. In the current context of having contact tracing apps, it becomes all the more important to have a data protection legal framework. The article seeks to understand the privacy concerns spelled out by the Aarogya Setu App, briefly compare the same with practices across different countries and understanding the need for legislative action concerning the privacy issues. In absence of a legislation, compliance with the privacy principles is not enough. The absence of a national or applicable law that posits data protection principles, provisions and organizational measures, should not permit denial of the basic tenets and continued provision of basic minimum rights of personal data protection and privacy, which must be ensured to all individuals at all times. Finally, it must be borne in mind that the adoption of contact tracing apps will put to test the balance between state surveillance and user privacy. The need of a data protection legislation is very telling in the current times and speaks for itself.

Biomedical device-associated infections (BAI) and osteosynthesis are two main complications following the orthopedic implant surgery, especially while infecting bacteria form a mature biofilm, which can protect the organisms from the host immune system and antibiotic therapy. Comparing with the single antibiotics therapeutic method, the combination of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) and conventional antibiotics exert a high level of antibacterial activity. Nevertheless, one major issue that extremely restricts the potential application of AgNP/antiviotics is the uncontrolled release. Moreover, the lack of osteogenic ability may cause the osteosynthesis. Thus, herein we fabricated a structure-controlled drug-loaded silk fibroin (SF) coating that can achieve the size and release control of AgNPs and high efficient osteogenesis. Three comparative SF-based coatings were fabricated: α-structured coating (α-helices 32.7%,), m-structured coating (β-sheets 28.3%) and β-structured coating (β-sheets 41%). Owning to the high content of α-helices structure and small AgNPs (20 nm), α-structured coating displayed better protein adsorption and hydrophilicity, as well as pH-dependent and long-lasting antibacterial performance. In vitro studies demonstrated that α coating showed good biocompatibility (cellular attachment, spreading and proliferation), high ALP expression, collagen secretion and calcium mineralization. Moreover, after one month subcutaneous implantation in vivo, α-structured coating elicited minimal, comparable inflammatory response. Additionally, in a rabbit femoral defect model, α-structured coating displayed a significant improvement on the generation of new-born bone and bonding between the new bone and the tissue, implying a rapid and durable osteointegration. Expectedly, this optimized structure-controlled SF-based coating can be an alternative and prospective solution for the current challenges in orthopedics.

Recently IoT is an emerging technology in all aspect of social and economical growth including research and technology. Starting from smart city to smart home, from industry monitoring to product evolution, from smart watch to smart health monitoring system, there are enormous aspect where IoT make a significant. But it is not possible to ensure that any system is fully safe and free from vulnerabilities. These vulnerabilities are used by attackers to access into devices and use them for malicious practice that can harm to serious extent. This review paper focuses on strategy adopted and scenarios in how many ways can IoT be attacked. Threats can be related to hardware devices, access level, software etc. This study mainly objected to layer wise security threat alone with possible counter measure and further scope of research.

This article deals with the appropriateness of the blockchain technology to improve existing KYC procedures, which are often described as lengthy, costly and cumbersome. Moreover, similar identification processes need to be carried out repeatedly for several institutions, which creates considerable inefficiencies and avoidable costs. The use of a blockchain design with smart contracts offers the possibility to avoid redundant workflows and entails several benefits such as enhanced security, trust and flexibility. This illustrates that the blockchain technology, which is still in a maturing phase, has the potential to play an important role in streamlining and (to some extent) automating current KYC processes. In terms of security, trustworthiness or customer satisfaction, the technology may offer game changing opportunities (not only) in the realm of authenticated user identification or digital identity management.

Pore-forming toxins (PFTs), as the most commonly virulence proteins, are the potent defensive or aggressive "weapons" in multiple bacterial infections. To reduce their damage to the host cells and lighten the degree of bacterial infections, it is a crucial step to remove PFTs in the process of treatment. Based on the pore-forming priciple between PFTs and the membrane of animal cells, we artificially prepared a novel broad-spectrum nanoantidote liposome (called the CSPL), which was composed by natural membrane components existing in human cells. High-concentration and abundant ingredient for toxin-binding as well as the favourable liquidity of CSPL itself guaranteed the forceful affinity for PFTs. With α-toxin as the model of PFTs, CSPL displayed powerful absorbing efficacy in vitro. In addition, CSPL demonstrated notable treatment efficiency in staphylococcus aureus infections in vivo. Finally, we developed vancomycin-loaded CSPL (Van@CSPL), in which the Van can be released at the infectious site through the transmembrane pores in the membrane of CSPL. Therefore, this functionalized integrative platform with detoxification/drug release was able to protect from severe invasive infections in mice. This safe and effective CSPL provides a new strategy for improving the treatment of bacterial infections.

In this case, A.I. has been of great importance in the sports industry. It has played a significant role in ensuring that the sector evolves from tradition to more modern ways. This paper makes research on the benefit of A.I. in the sports industry. The report begins by giving an overview of the topic regarding how the two aspects link. The article also identifies some of the A.I. applications used in sports today. The research finds out that there are significant fans who are the main beneficiary of A.I. technology. Also, the businesses associated with sports are growing fast due to high awareness created through this technology. Again, the future will be more confident because of the changes in innovation. Therefore, it is recommendable for sports businesses to stay updated.
