In Ecuador, the subject of entrepreneurship and management is taught to students in the third year of the unified general baccalaureate. However, this subject is taught following a traditional line of text management and expositions that do not allow the student to approach a technology-based education. This study explored how technological tools can be used to improve the skills and abilities of high school students in the Tulcán Educational Unit, Ecuador. The research was carried out under a mixed approach with a descriptive, bibliographic and field scope. Survey and interview techniques were applied to students and teachers of the Institution. Based on the results, a virtual classroom proposal was designed in Moodle 4.1 to awaken the entrepreneurial spirit of students regarding the creation of web pages, logo design, creation of digital advertising, among others. This study concludes that the virtual classroom proposal contributes to improve the teaching-learning process in the subject of Entrepreneurship and Management, adapting to the needs of the students.

The study aims to analyze the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) usage on structural learning through student-developed programming in open-source software languages: Python, Octave, and OpenSees. The research collaborates with 90 undergraduate students in the early courses of civil engineering at the Universidad Nacional de Chimborazo. The ADDIE methodology is employed in the initial phase for planning, development, and monitoring. A survey on students' perceptions regarding effectiveness, satisfaction, recommendation, and feedback is conducted, followed by academic performance evaluation using a grading rubric to verify the achievement of set objectives. An analysis of factors contributing to AI-focused learning is then performed. Initial results revealed outliers, some deviating from study parameters and others discarded for a comprehensive view of study behavior. Regarding the survey data analysis, efficiency and satisfaction exhibited the highest reliability. Subsequently, variables were correlated considering their normality, showing a relationship between effectiveness and satisfaction; however, a strong connection cannot be guaranteed for these or other variables. Therefore, ANOVA tests, indicating positive linear relationships, and hypothesis testing were employed, demonstrating that students achieved objectives with a moderately high degree of effectiveness and satisfaction. The use of technological options and consideration of innovative learning methods can positively enhance the learning experience, contingent on prior education. Exploring artificial intelligence may prove challenging without guided information search based on predefined criteria and constraints.

Tara (Caesalpinia spinosa) is a native Peruvian plant that grows in the dry forests of the inter-Andean valleys. It is considered a relevant opportunity for eco-business in the country due to its high efficiency of use and versatility in various industries. This study aims to characterize the production and commercialization of tara by producers located in the Sonche River Valley, in the province of Chachapoyas, in order to provide some opportunities for implementing sustainable tara production strategies to increase its production. The results indicate that tara production activity is being developed in a precarious manner, since production per hectare is below average and there is inefficient use of spaces suitable for cultivation; the production units also have organizational deficiencies such as lack of leverage, little training on sustainability issues and neglect in the harvesting process. These deficiencies are invaluable opportunities to implement strategies such as the practice of sustainable crops, the use of improved varieties, and education, research and development regarding tara production.

Oral tradition is a significant element within culture, especially for ethnic groups, such as the Zenú, who fight for its preservation, because for Zenú families, it is an important factor in keeping their worldview alive. From this perspective, teachers need to have didactic options to promote cultural identity, especially in the indigenous cabildos where family communication is weak and does not tend to promote the oral traditions so necessary to develop in a pluralistic and democratic society, a training alternative to build more democratic societies, from this perspective, the purpose of this research work is the implementation of oral tradition as a didactic strategy to strengthen family communication. The population to be addressed are the students, parents and teachers of the eighth grade of the San Francisco de Asis Educational Institution of Chinú, Córdoba. The sample is made up of 4 parents, 4 students and 4 teachers. This degree work is developed from the qualitative approach, and responds to the theoretical conception of participatory action research. Surveys and semi-structured interviews were used as data collection techniques, which allowed understanding the importance of promoting and revitalizing the oral tradition as a cultural and pedagogical element to strengthen family and community ties.

Nowadays it is of vital importance to reduce the generation of greenhouse gas emissions. Given the problem of climate change, which has led to seek solutions globally, involving environmental and economic issues, opening the market for carbon credits and green bonds. The main objective of this research was to evaluate carbon bonds as an alternative for the development of the Las Damas, Alluriquín, Santo Domingo area. Based on this, a mixed approach was used, the type of research, bibliographic and field, whose methods were inductive-deductive and historical-logical, with a non-experimental-transversal design, using the documentary review and the survey to collect the information. From the findings, it became evident that the population is unaware of the environmental services provided by the forest and carbon credits. It is concluded that one option is forestry projects through sustainable cattle ranching developing Clean Development Mechanism.

Environmental education is one of the best tools for the identification of problems related to pollution that affect the well-being of living beings and for the search of solutions for each case, and taking into account aptitudes and attitudes of respect for the same. In congruence with the above, the research whose results are presented here was developed with the objective of supporting the implementation of a training plan aimed at the inhabitants of the Miguelillo-Portoviejo site to face the risks of landslides and floods. For the execution of the study, the application of theoretical scientific methods (analysis and synthesis and induction and deduction) was used, which facilitated the evaluation of the information gathered through empirical methods such as observation and support techniques such as interviews and surveys. With the data recorded in the study, it was possible to demonstrate the lack of knowledge on environmental issues possessed by the residents. In conclusion, it has been considered that systematic training actions provide benefits in the presence of natural disasters and their response to these events, so it is important to provide constant training for the inhabitants.

The introduction of digital tools and resources arises as a response to technological advances, but to develop an adequate technological education it is not enough to introduce digital resources, but also to educate and develop the digital competencies of teachers and students. Currently, digital competencies are considered enablers of the knowledge society and both students and teachers should consider their participation in virtual environments as a development opportunity. The present study analyzed the digital competencies of 50 teachers of the Polytechnic School of Chimborazo (ESPOCH) in their pedagogical praxis. The survey technique was applied with a non-probabilistic purposive sampling method using the questionnaire as an instrument. The main results showed that there is an inverse relationship between the age of teachers and the use of ICT. However, teachers are able to create their own digital content and educational resources especially those with a working experience between 1 to 5 years and between 6 to 10 years. This study concludes and recommends continuous training of teachers in the use of ICT to improve their teaching-learning process.

The available literature shows quantitative studies on the management of antibiotics; however, few investigations describe the perceptions and experiences of family caregivers with a qualitative approach. To explore the perceptions of family caregivers who manage antibiotic medications at home. Qualitative, descriptive scope and cross section. The information was collected through semi-structured interviews with caregivers with relatives who have a chronic degenerative disease, and without studies related to health care. Antibiotics have limitations at the time of access, which influences the storage that families have in their homes, the storage characteristics lie on the site and not in the container. Caretakers do not check expiration dates; medicines are discarded without established measures. The perceptions of caregivers in rural contexts differ from those in the urban context. Caregivers participate in the medication management process and recognize that they can improve their practices, therefore, the perceptions of access, storage, use, and disposal are necessary for improvement proposals.

This study explores how the threat and appraisal constructs proposed by the Protection Motivation Theory affect preparedness behavior towards hydrometeorological hazards contingent to the confidence on the governmental support, the individual’s social vulnerability, and his/her previous experience with a natural threat. Data from an online survey of residents of two Mexican coastal counties was used to provide empirical support to the conceptual model developed. The analytical results of structural equation modelling indicate that a high confidence in the authorities’ support has a non-significant effect on preventive behaviors but negatively affects the perceived coping selfefficacy of socially vulnerable individuals. Additionally, preparedness behavior is triggered by risk or coping factors depending on the previous experience with an hydrometeorological hazard. These findings advise to 1) better manage the expectations of socially disadvantaged residents regarding the governmental assistance by improving their self-protection ability towards natural threats, and 2) offset the decreased risk perception of households who are exposed to hydrometeorological warnings regularly. The main limitation of this study is the small purposing sample used to empirically validate the model proposed. An extensive study based on a probabilistic sample of coastal communities of Mexico is recommended to confirm the findings of this exploratory research.
