By using silicate inorganic binders and glass waste it is possible to mould technical and artistic elements which later can be compacted by means of low temperature, and subsequently apply the sintering through high-temperature processing, which is generally lower than current melting glass processes, close to 1250 °C. The experimental phase established thermal ranges from 600°C to 750°C, a fact that allows for an effective sintering temperature (of around 650°C/18 hours). The mixtures and proportions for this experiment were fixed including ethyl silicate as a fluidizer in mixtures,as well as the size of glass grains. The results indicate good compaction of the samples after the initial phase (80°C/24h), allowing proper handling without alterations in samples edges.During heating treatment, mechanical resistance increases gradually (600-750°C), although the volume of porosity was inversely proportional. According to the matrix vs grain size relationship, the partial fusion of both materials is evident in the rounding of the glass grains as well as the resin bonds joined between them. The resins appeared in a homogenous fashion, covering and gluing the grains, a development which improves the joining of sintered samples. Samples with a mixture of sodium silicate and ethyl silicate resins experienced less melting between grains due to a lower volume of fluxing elements, which means a lower percentage volume of sodium (Na). This study concludes that a sintering process for new vitreous composites could be carried out between 650°C and 700°C, offering the opportunity for a substantial reduction in the amount of energy required to produce industrial glass. Keywords: Water-glass, glass recycling, low temperature

This study investigates the utilization of mine tailings, the by-product originating from metal- and mineral-based ore mining, as a new cement replacement material. This paper is based on the chemical and physical characteristics of 13 mine tailing samples. In this study, Chemometrics were applied to consider all parameters simultaneously and obtain a thorough screening of potential relations in the large data set. Hierarchical Cluster Analysis (HCA) groups samples according to (dis)similar features and Principal Component Analysis (PCA) visualizes predominating variables and relations to samples. The application of HCA highlighted a clear grouping between mine tailings according to characteristics. Meanwhile, PCA identified the predominant chemical and physical characteristics in the mine tailing samples. Chemometrics therefore provided a thorough overview of mine tailings’ physical and chemical characteristics. Keywords: mine tailings, chemometrics, cement replacement

The research subject presented in the paper is acoustic perception, the perception of a sound landscape by a human. The paper aim was formulated - knowing the sources of noise based on the subjective assessment of recipients allows for sustainable management of green areas (city parks). The need to shape a harmonious landscape may contribute to finding a new function and attractive form for the studied areas. Research carried out for selected city parks in Bydgoszcz (Poland) concerns the registration of responses of people assessing the sound landscape (subjective approach). Completed studies allow ”translating” subjective assessments into meaningful values using fuzzy cognitive maps. The scenarios completed show the possibility of using tools supporting the decision-making process in urban planning of city parks in relation to existing acoustic conditions. This work shows the development of a computerized system for registering emergency patients at Alfonso Villagómez Hospital, using the DSDM(Dynamic Systems Development Method) agile development methodology in which 150 requirements expressed in UML(Unified Modeling language) diagrams were obtained for greater understanding; The PyCharm integrated development environment, the Django frameworks under the language Python and Bootstrap were used for the design of the templates and database management system PostgreSQL. The architecture applied was MTV(Model Template View) and once the system was implemented, the usability of software was evaluated according to the ISO/IEC 9126 standard, using the survey called USE (utility, satisfaction and ease of use), for the hypothesis the test was applied Chi square and it is concluded that the computer system is useful and meets the needs of users.
