Historically, the exploration of corrosion inhibitor technology has relied extensively on experimental methodologies, which are inherently associated with substantial costs, prolonged durations, and significant resource utilization. However, the emergence of ML approaches has recently garnered attention as a promising avenue for investigating potential materials with corrosion inhibition properties. This study endeavors to enhance the predictive capacity of ML models by leveraging polynomial functions. Specifically, the investigation focuses on assessing the effectiveness of pyridinequinoline compounds in mitigating corrosion. Diverse ML models were systematically evaluated, integrating polynomial functions to augment their predictive capabilities. The integration of polynomial functions notably amplifies the predictive accuracy across all tested models. Notably, the SVR model emerges as the most adept, exhibiting R² of 0.936 and RMSE of 0.093. The outcomes of this inquiry underscore a significant enhancement in predictive accuracy facilitated by the incorporation of polynomial functions within ML models. The proposed SVR model stands out as a robust tool for prognosticating the corrosion inhibition potential of pyridine-quinoline compounds. This pioneering approach contributes invaluable insights into advancing machine learning methodologies geared toward designing and engineering materials with promising corrosion inhibition properties. Sensory Attributes and Phytochemical Composition in Microgreens: Implications for Acceptability Among School Students in Selangor, Malaysia 微型蔬菜的感官属性和植物化学成分:对马来西亚雪兰莪州学生接受度的影响

Abstract. Microgreens, the young seedlings of edible plants, have gained attention for their potential health benefits and culinary applications. This newly emerging functional food crop has the potential to sustainably diversify global food systems, facilitate urbanization and climate change responses, and advance human health. However, their reception among school students remains an understudied area, particularly in the Malaysian context. In this study, five microgreens species including ulam raja, red amaranth, red radish, daikon, and corn were evaluated for their sensory perception and acceptability among secondary school students in Selangor, and their phytochemical compositions. Among the evaluated species, corn exhibited the highest intensity of sweetness, ulam raja demonstrated a strong aroma and bitterness, while red radish was notable for its astringency and heat. Red amaranth had the highest intensity of grassy taste, and all five microgreens had a low score for sourness. Corn had the highest rating on acceptability of flavor and overall eating quality, signifying its favorable impression among students. Conversely, red radish and ulam raja received the lowest acceptability scores in both categories. The highest total phenolic and flavonoid content and antioxidant activity was exhibited in ulam raja. These findings suggest the potential to leverage corn’s favorable acceptability to introduce microgreens into student diets. In general, this study highlights the correlation between sensory attributes and phytochemical composition, both influencing the Malaysian students’ perceptions of microgreens. By understanding their preferences, educators, policymakers, and entrepreneurs can formulate effective strategies for healthier eating habits among the youth and develop successful commercialization strategies. Hydroponic farming has been a promising alternative to traditional farming, but providing plants with proper and consistent nutrition remains challenging. The issue in the research is the inaccuracy of the nutrients provided to the plants, resulting in growth that does not meet the expectations. This study aims to develop an automated nutrition system for hydroponic farming using Arduino Uno and total dissolved solids (TDS) sensors. In conducting this research, the study began with a preliminary exploration, followed by the design and integration process. Subsequently, testing and experiments were conducted on a small scale. Preliminary studies were conducted to understand existing hydroponic practices and challenges in manually supplying nutrients. The design of an automation system with Arduino Uno and a TDS sensor is made to control nutrition automatically. Automation systems are tested and calibrated to ensure accuracy and proper response. Implementation on a small scale was done with a test group and a control group in hydroponics. Growth and yield data were collected and analyzed. The results showed that the automated system provided precise and consistent nutrition, increasing plant growth and yields compared to manual methods. This research makes a scientific contribution to developing sustainable and efficient agriculture. In conclusion, nutrition automation using Arduino Uno and TDS sensors is an effective solution to increase the efficiency and productivity of hydroponic farming. Broadcasting Study Program at Polimedia requires its final year students to make television programs as one of their Final Projects. In the process, students were given materials to support the creation of the final work. However, it is such a shame for those Final Projects are just sitting uselessly in campus repository. The initiation of forming an incubation class as an exhibition preparation to market these works is gradually being implemented through courses in the final semester. Thus, this research was conducted with the aim of identifying the effectiveness of the implementation of incubation and exhibition classes in marketing television programs to the industry. The method used is the implementation of the incubation class and exhibition observationally and experimentally. The results achieved are the application of academic and practical processes by students to present their media value program to investors in broadcasting industry. Offset printing machines play an important role in the printing process in the printing industry, so many industrial players make various efforts to maintain the quality of offset machine printouts. One of the efforts made is to keep the rollers and blankets on the offset machine clean from metal impurities that come from printing inks. To keep rollers and blankets clean, industry players usually use chemical fluids that can clean rollers and blankets on offset machines. However, the continuous use of chemical fluids can damage the rollers and blankets due to oxidation of these chemicals over time. This affects the printing results, such as the paper getting easily damaged, the blanket becoming sticky, the print being uneven, and the density becoming low. In addition, the cleaning chemicals used can cause environmental damage such as water pollution and soil pollution. This research synthesizes an eco-cleaner from an organic waste fermentation process reinforced with a catalyst that can be used as a substitute for the chemicals used today. This research aims to produce an eco-cleaner product that can reduce metal impurities on rollers and blankets to improve the printing quality of offset machines. The resulting product works effectively to remove metal impurities without damaging the rollers and blankets because the eco-cleaner is non-corrosive. The resulting products can be used by the public and the printing industry. The method used in this research is an experiment with the fermentation synthesis method. Furthermore, the eco-cleaner is tested for characterization for feasibility according to SNI standards. The tests carried out are the organic plating test, physical properties test, test and then analysis of the test results to see the feasibility of the eco-cleaner. Socialization activities concerning the importance of orangutan protection carried out by the Center of Orangutan Protection Sumatra in schools and the broader community still use PowerPoint-based media and do not yet have video-based socialization and educational media. This research makes an infographic video about the protection of the Sumatran orangutan and aims to be a socialization medium to obtain information and issues regarding the ecology and habitat of the Sumatran orangutan. This research method uses qualitative and applied research methods with systematic and creative work processes in building visual communication concepts based on video infographics, interviews, observation, and visual literature as the basis for pre-production, production, and post-production of videos. The digital illustrations in the video were worked on using Pain Tool Sai 2, while the video animation used Adobe After Effects 2022. The results of this study use Abelii as the Sumatran orangutan (Pongo Abelii) character, telling about his life under threat of extinction. Video visualization is moving images with transitions containing typography and semi-realistic digital illustrations with two-dimensional animation elements using music and voice acting. The video would be presented at every outreach program conducted by the Center of Orangutan Protection Sumatra and published on YouTube. The keyframe method for making 3D animation movements is a traditional technique used by animators around the world to create certain animation movements based zon the 12 principles of animation. Meanwhile, motion capture is a motion recording technique used to describe the process of recording movements and interpreting these movements into a digital model. Motion capture itself is commonly used in the military, entertainment, sports, and other fields. In this study, we analyze the use of the two methods, the results of which can be used as a suggestion for the use of the two methods for the production of animated films. Three aspects were used to analyze the two methods, namely the number of keyframes, the level of refinement and detail, the final process and cleanup. Keywords: keyframe, motion capture

Analysis of the Harmonious Development of the National Tourism Strategic Area and Tourism Master Plan 国家旅游战略区与旅游总体规划的和谐发展分析

This article examines the harmony or suitability between the National Tourism Strategic Area Document (KSPN) and the Tourism Master Plan (RIP). The successful development of the tourism industry in development is required to have a common perception between the central government and local governments. The author pays special attention to these two documents for comparison and validation. This study aims to determine harmony, suitability, and similarity to obtain results to be concluded as recommendations. Literature study research with a qualitative approach uses a two-phase research design with preliminary studies and case studies. The results of this study indicate that the harmony and suitability of KSPN and RIP are harmonious and appropriate, but several indicators must be explained so that a common perception can be formed. Furthermore, the research results can be used by the central and regional governments in developing tourism areas with the spirit of sustainable tourism development. The concept of sustainability should be followed by all tourism destinations in Indonesia to ensure the balance of ecological, social/cultural, and economic impacts on all. One of the main concerns of the sustainability is the maintenance of environmental aspects, which can be measured in many ways, human behavior being the key to that. Therefore, initial profiling of tourist behavior can be a great start and can be applied to all tourism destinations in Indonesia. By knowing the general behavior of tourists (daily and vacationing behavior), local managers may adapt environmentally friendly tourism activities, which will actually increase the demand side (tourists). The findings of 134 respondents in this study show not only a comparison of each respondent’s profile but also a connection to previous related studies. Thus, future research may cross-examine the profiles as well as check their relations simultaneously. Printing inks of various brands are available in the field. Available colors include Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black. Ink is an important parameter in determining print quality. Optical density is one of the important parameters used to control print quality. The optical density of the printed material is a form of ink–paper interaction. This research is oriented toward investigating the optical density value of Cyan printing ink on coated and non-coated paper. The main objective of this research is to analyze the effect of printing ink thickness on the optimal density value. Optical density values of Cyan prints were obtained using densitometer measurements, printed with the IGT method on coated and uncoated paper. The optical density values of several types of ink on the market that have been printed on coated and uncoated paper have never been reported before.
