Globalization has made it necessary for all nations to employ international languages, and primarily English, to promote their cultures. Employing the latest achievements in “interlinguoculturology”, we look at original English-language texts about Russian culture, and explore what qualities a reader should possess in order to make a sober assessment of an English-language text about Russian culture.

The article presents an attempt to apply Lloyd deMause’s psychogenic theory of the historical motivation to the domestic material, transposed into the conceptual system of intersubjective psychoanalysis. Some assumptions are made regarding the dynamics of group adaptive fantasies and the interaction of the psychoclasses that generate them in Russia over the past century. The current military-political crisis is considered as the resulting vector of these processes.

In the modern foreign language teaching society, the discussion about the use of information technologies in educational activities has already have steady signs of stability and constancy. Quality and efficiency of the teacher's activities directly depend on the level of his or her professional competencies in the field of IT and the ability to organize work with the student’s audience by means of the advanced forms of education. The purpose of this work was to study the influence of the computer environment on the cognitive activity and communicative abilities of students of a non-lingual university. Using ed.ted.com, Google test, Augmented Reality technology, QR code and some interactive methods (Case Study, Sinquain), we simulated the content of language education in the format of an academic class and developed methodological recommendations for introducing new approaches to foreign language learning side by side with traditional methods.

The article is devoted to the problem of building a conceptual scheme for a sociological study of the phenomenon of social solidarity. Within the framework of sociological science, the authors identify areas of interdisciplinary intersection of the main areas of study of social solidarity and analyze unique focuses of research attention. Hypotheses for a prospective study of social solidarity are also proposed from the perspective of sociological approaches methodologically substantiated by the authors

The article devoted to the 75th anniversary of the famous Russian Petersburg philosopher Boris Vasilyevich Markov investigates the perspectives of the development of modern philosophical and visual anthropology as the aesthetics of the human image. To concretize and actualize this approach, an unexpected context is chosen – a rethinking of the analytics and deduction of the human image in Sherlock Holmes' method of investigation, which is assessed from the standpoint of modern personality-oriented visual philosophy and aesthetics.

The article looks at how translations from the Byzantine Neoplatonists influenced the early Russian theology. In particular, enormous impact of the Corpus Areopagiticum has been discovered. Scholars disagree as to how much Neoplatonism was instrumental in forming the early Russian theological thought. The article distinguishes two varieties of Neoplatonism in Russian Theology School philosophy. The works by F. Golybinsky, Archbishop Innokenty (Borisov), Archbishop Nikanor (Brovkovich) and Father P. Florensky considered the formation of Orthodox theism as a transition from the ontology of Christian Platonism to Christian Neoplatonism. We can also assert that the orientation towards Plato was laid precisely through the Eastern Fathers, and not through the Latin influence.

Three basic notions are described in the article, which are equally essential for terminological research. These are specialized (professional) communication, language for specific purposes and scientific translation and interpreting. The term “specialized communication” appeared as a reaction to the cybernetic model of C. Shannon and N. Weaver. This phenomenon is based on understanding text and scientific (academic) discourse. Language for specific purposes was introduced in foreign applied linguistics as a separate notion on the basis of understanding functionality in terminological studies and as the opposition to everyday usage. The development of Terminology Science and particularly of modern Terminology Studies demonstrates how important it is to reveal the relationship between terminological units in language through the terminological system description as well as the reflection of terminological units semantics and sense. In Cognitive-Communicative Terminology propositional, framework, scenario, cognitive map, matrix and other models are applied, simple and complex formats of knowledge are used to specify attention on various aspects of scientific knowledge. As for scientific translation and interpreting, this sphere is linked with two previous notions. Translation studies and scientific translation and interpreting are associated with the understanding of speech and thinking activities and human factor revealed in language.

S. V. Filonov
The article reflects the experience of using a modern academic, instrumental and methodological base for the analysis and introduction into a wide research circulation of the poorly studied written monuments of the Supreme Purity (Shangqing) Taoist lineage, that reflect specific cosmological issues. The author believes that the modern academic base, prepared by the pioneering research works of Western scholars, supplemented by the outstanding achievements of Japanese and Chinese Sinology and signifi-cantly expanded by prominent Taiwanese researchers, combined with up-to-date digital tools for information analysis, makes it pos-sible to move on to a scrupulous study and translation of even the most secret scriptures of the early Supreme Purity Taoist lineage. The paper presents the results of a preliminary study of one of these texts, namely «Scripture on Dipper Transfer with Three Limits for Opening Heaven» (HY 1306). These results allow to conclude that in early Shangqing Taoism there was an integral system of cosmological concepts based on the special perception of the stars of the Northern Dipper (Big Dipper) and including the following components: a notion typologically comparable with the concept of “creative cosmogony” by Stanislav Lem, reflected in his “The New Cosmogony” («Alfred Testa “Nowa Kosmogonia”»); the notion of Multiple universes; ideas about the parallel universes; psy-chotechnical techniques of “time management”, and algorithms and procedures for “Chronotope travel”.

The paper presents professionally-oriented reading techniques in context of teaching a foreign language at the higher school of arts; it refers to stage, opera, and screen interpretations of J. Cocteau’s play "The Human Voice". The method of participant observation explores the process of academic staging to develop foreign language and professional competencies simultaneously. The recommended complex of assignments based on the experience of cross-cultural theatre making illustrates the advantages of the interdisciplinary approach for the artistic education.
