The choice of the theme stated in the article is due to the ever-expanding technical power of the current era and at the same time due to the growing power of humanitaristics. The mutual proportionality of their significance determines the emergence of the humanitarian – technological revolution phenomenon. The author shows that the formation of a qualitatively new sociocultural situation gives rise to the need for a relevant paradigm of its description and makes it necessary to study the possibility of a dialogue between cognitive practices of humanitaristics and modern technologies that lead to their synthesis

The consumer behavior of studying youths, as more susceptible to external stimuli of the social group, is not constant, it undergoes changes, and therefore, there is a need for a systematic study of its aspects. The article reveals the results of a study of the characteristics of consumer behavior of studying youths at the present stage. Based on the analysis of the data obtained, conclu-sions were drawn about marked consumer types, the degree of conspicuousness in consumption, consumer preferences, as well as the peculiarities of making a decision on purchases.

The article presents the results of a comparative empirical study of meaningful differences in early childhood memories of adults with different levels of aggression. It has been proven that more aggressive subjects in their early childhood memories often have neurotic relationships with the mother, a passive model of behavior, and negative types of events. Less aggressive subjects significantly more often show in their early memories signs of successful socialization, an active type of response, and more harmonious relations with the environment

The article substantiates the thesis about the possibility to detect a specific way of thinking associated with going beyond the basic reality not only in special forms of cognition, but also in ordinary cognitive experience. In accordance with the definition of metaphysics as the doctrine of true Being, as opposed to the illusory one, we can designate this direction of thoughts as metaphysical. A metaphysical breakthrough as a transition from one level of reality to another differs from such intellectual actions as mythologizing or creating a metaphor. From the standpoint of constructivist epistemology, we can speak of a metaphysical transition not only as a movement through the levels of reality, but also as a change in the reality. We can find a transition to another reality, in particular, in a situation of a paradigm shift in science (the scientific reality changes) and in a borderline situation when the lifeworld changes due to the global reassessment by a person of the circumstances of his/her life. Additionally, an epistemologist can describe such transition through the concepts of hermeneutical field and crystallization. According to the author, the above interpretation allows to conclude that the metaphysical transition is a necessary component of cognitive processes that, in this perspective, can be defined as transcending.

The article substantiates the thesis that one of the fundamental causes of today's world crisis is the irrelevance of the ideological form of consciousness of the modern post-postmodern situation, which is characterized by the dominance of the postideological form of consciousness. The blurring of the criteria of the real, which occurred in the postmodern era, led to the relativization of the axiological sphere, which undermined the ability of society to resist destructive tendencies in social reality. The necessity of a new form of worldview, based on the primacy of the value approach, and new ways of argumentation, focused on the logic of consequences, and not on the logic of foundations, is substantiated

The paper discusses the translation of the novel Ground Up (2009) into Russian made by the author, Mikhail Idov, and published as Kofemolka (Coffee Grinder) in 2010. Since this has been the first example of self-translation in Russian-American prose since Nabokov, which M. Idov himself admitted, the approaches of the two writers are compared. The paper notes a deliberate combination of domestication and foreignization, which reflects the emigrant history of existence between two cultures and two languages mostly addressed to a bilingual reader. At the same time, the ludic principle is significant for both writers (verbalized in pseudo-comments, puns, ironic allusions) and it often determines their translation decisions.

The article discusses the problem of mastering names of traditional Russian life objects and phenomena by Chinese students of advanced level. The aim of the work is to analyze the names of traditional Russian life objects and phenomena as an object of study for Chinese students within the framework of the academic discipline "Russian as a Foreign Language" and to build up a lexicographical methodology for working on this group of language units. The linguistic and cultural approach reveals common and different cultures in Russia and China and provides extensive material to overcome the differences that hinder communication among speakers of these languages. The article describes the names of objects and phenomena of traditional Russian life as a section of nonequivalent and part-equivalent vocabulary, presents a thematic classification of the names of objects and phenomena of traditional Russian life, and also examines in detail a group of words meaning food and drinks, in terms of their translation into Chinese. In order to understand and use correctly in speech names of objects and phenomena of traditional Russian life, it is important to know not only their interpretations, but also cultural connotations. This requires a learning commentary with extra-linguistic information. It is concluded that the implementation of the principles of national-oriented teaching, the logic of which fully corresponds to the study of traditional Russian life objects and phenomena names as language units with a national cultural component, contributes to the formation of intercultural competence, which corresponds to the optimal model of teaching a foreign language.

The article examines the functional and stylistic potential of semantic calquing in the literary embodiment of the dialogue of cultures. Traditionally, calque is interpreted as a type of borrowing or a way of translation, but in the process of analyzing literary text, calque is seen as a tool that allows a writer, using the means of one language, to reflect the consciousness of a native speaker of another language. Specific cases of the use of Chinese semantic calques in Boris Yulsky’s stories are identified and analyzed. The conclusions are made about their literary functions: Chinese semantic calques allow the writer to reflect important features of Chinese picture of the world and national communicative behavior, create authentic images of Chinese characters, immerse Russian reader into the atmosphere of Chinese culture.

With the development of interest in the interaction of ethnic groups in various fields, intercultural interactions in the culinary field are of particular interest. Gastronomic culture for many researchers represents the epistemological field of everyday life, which is quite problematic from the point of view of historical retrospective. A weaker ethnic group borrows new social practices from a strong ethnic group that came to their lands. This is especially evident in the gastronomic field. There are various borrowing mechanisms, which indicates the complexity of this process.
