Jatropha curcas is a drought tolerant, oil seed bearing shrub of family Euphorbiaceae, widely distributed in Central and South America, Africa, India and south East Asia.1,2 It is found growing in tropics and subtropics.3–5 Jatropha is a monoecious plant and flowers are unisexual, occasionally hermaphrodite flower also occur.5 There is a huge variation in seed yield of this plant (Figure 1). It varies from 0.1 to15 tonnes/ha/year.7 Different researchers have reported different amount of oil content ranging from 24% to 60 %.8–13 Low yield is the main constraint in successful utilization of this oil yielding plant as biodiesel feedstock.

Ayurveda is an ancient Science based on different school of philosophies. As it is an applied science so it has the scientific background. Pali literature is an ancient literature and ocean of knowledge. Swabhavparamavada is an important concept described in Ayurveda which is based on Pali literature. Swabhava means natural and uparam means destruction this concept is contributed by charaka. The Dhatus of the body get into disequilibrium due to imbalance of the cause and they enjoy equilibrium when the cause is in balance. Their Dhatus termination is always natural.1

KELEA activated water as an alternative to stem cell injections in regenerative medicine KELEA活化水作为再生医学中干细胞注射的替代品

The original intent of stem cell therapies was to provide patients with undifferentiated cells that could differentiate into the specific types of specialized cells, which were either absent or dysfunctional in the patients.1 Basically, the stem cells were intended to replenish the body with a fresh source of specific types of normally functioning cells. This goal clearly applied to the grafting of bone marrow cells into leukemia patients after the patients received radiation or chemotherapy.2 Ideally, the donors of the bone marrow derived hematopoietic stem cells (HSC) are genetically closely related to the individual recipients of the donor cells to minimize possible graft-versus-host and host-versusgraft immunological reactions.3 Replicating cells obtained from very early embryos are naturally destined to generate progeny cells that can collectively differentiate into all types of specialized cells.4,5 These very primitive replicating cells, however, retain the potential of developing into a teratoma and other tumors. There is a requirement, therefore, to somewhat genetically restrict these cells before they are clinically used as pluripotent embryonic stem cells (ESC).6 There is also an ethical issue in sacrificing human embryos as the source of therapeutic cells. This latter concern has been avoided by showing that cellular differentiation is a reversible process. Thus, mature cells obtained from an adult can be induced by genetic reprogramming into a more primitive or embryonic cell type.7 As with ESC, these induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC), also have to be genetically restricted from potentially becoming tumors. Methods for reliably achieving this safety goal for primitive stem cells are not convincingly proven and this has delayed progress in the common use of iPSC. This barrier has not, however, prevented the extensive use of therapeutic cells other than ESC and iPSC.

Rice (Oryza sativa L) is one of the most popular food and feeds over half population of the world. It belongs to the Poaceae family. The existing population of the world is 7.5 billion as of July 2017 and growth rate of around 1.11% per year according to the UNDP approximations elaborated by World meters as a July 2017. The latest United Nations projections indicate that world population will reach 10billion persons in the year 2056 (UNPD, 2015) and rice production must increase by 40-50% to meet the growing demand. In Bangladesh, the current population is 164,957,528 with population density 1266 per Km2 and Bangladesh ranks number 8 by population in the world as of Friday, July 28, 2017, based on the latest United Nations estimates.1 Food scarcity has been and will remain a major concern for Bangladesh as currently (2017) population growth rate is 1.15% per year. But rice and wheat cover 79.4 percent of total cultivable land of Bangladesh, as mentioned in FAO/WFP CFSAM 2008 Report. Global climate change such as floods, drought, cold and saline excesses in precipitation increasingly limit food, fiber, and forest production worldwide.2 In this circumstance, Marker assisted backcrossing (MABC) is one of the key components for breeders that facilitates the use of the results of genomics for farmers’ benefit.3 The applied case of MAS obviously demonstrates the superiority of using MAB compared to conventional backcrossing.4 For this purpose, we need to develop submergence tolerance HYV cultivar and Marker Assistant Selection (MAS) may play a vital role to develop that genotypes.

I want to share with you my own observation of chaotic behavior of the nonlinear electromagnetic field (NEMF) of a schizophrenic young woman. When I tried to measure the spinning energy centers (alternating vortices and anti-vortices) of her NEMF with my sensitive patented equipment, the energy centers exhibited chaotic behavior.7 The energy of the alternating vortices and anti-vortices of the NEMF of this schizophrenic woman was changing in an unpredictable way in a split second. I have measured the energy centers of normal individuals for years. The energy was stable and could be measured and re-measured again and again and it was always the same.

Acupuncture is being studied for its efficacy in alleviating many kinds of pain. There are promising findings in some conditions according to scientific publication in this field. We can find positive results in chronic low-back pain and osteoarthritis of the knee; but for most other conditions, but additional researches are needed. The former called “National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine” (NCCAM) (now its newer name is: National Center for Integrated Medicine) sponsored a wide range of different levels on acupuncture research. Acupuncture is generally considered to be safe when it is performed correctly. (Depends from skillfulness of practitioners and schools).
