An optimization model of EVs charging and discharging for power system demand leveling 基于电力系统需求均衡的电动汽车充放电优化模型

This paper provides an advanced methodology for optimizing the UK load with various uncertainties which is related with individual driving behaviour. Without the optimized regulation for traditional power system demand, integrating increasing number of electric vehicles (EVs) would have an adverse impact on stability of power systems. Hence, when there are large-scale EVs being plugged into power grid, it is significant to employ this advanced optimization model. In addition, the flexible bidirectional charging and discharging would improve flexibility and stability, compared with the optimized methodology only for EV charging. Three scenarios with different charging and discharging power levels and various penetration levels of EV are discussed in this paper. Simulation results demonstrate that bidirectional EV charging has effective potential to improve the load demand profile, with the increase of EV penetration proportion, and power levels of charging and discharging.

Electric Vehicle charging management algorithm for a UK low-voltage residential distribution network 英国低压住宅配电网电动汽车充电管理算法

The integration of Electric Vehicles (EVs) into low-voltage (LV) residential distribution networks inevitably increases the overall demand, especially peak demand, which may cause thermal or voltage issues. In this paper, a 400V practical residential distribution network is modelled and used to quantify these impacts due to the growing penetration of EVs. Residential load profiles in 1-minute resolution and EV charging profiles with recorded State of Charge (SOC) are randomly and statistically created. Then, a simple charging management algorithm with locally made decision is suggested at EV users' charging points. Results prove that this approach can mitigate the negative impacts of EV charging on network assets. Moreover, it can reduce EV users' electricity cost for charging based on existing UK electricity price scheme `Economy 7,' without compromising EV usage or substantial network infrastructure reinforcement or installation of extensive monitor, control and communication system. The simulation models and analysis are implemented in MATLAB/OpenDSS as an LV distribution network simulation platform.

Estimating the price elasticity of residential power demand using a bottom-up approach 用自下而上的方法估计居民用电需求的价格弹性

The paper aims to estimate the flexibility of a residential consumer group in price-based demand response. It develops a model to simulate consumers' responsiveness to time-varying prices. The model is applied for 500 households under three dynamic prices. The cost saving, change of load curve and price elasticities are computed and compared. Results show that Time-of-Use network tariffs bring more incentives and higher flexibility than the fixed tariff. The setting of peak periods and peak/off-peak price ratio in Time-of-Use tariffs affects the results. Their influence may also vary for different delay options.

Negative effect and principle of TCSC to traditional emergency control TCSC对传统应急控制的负面影响及原理

With the development of power electronic technology, flexible AC transmission systems (FACTS), such as thyristor controlled series capacitor (TCSC) are widely used. Not only enhancing the control capacity of the system, but also increasing the complexity of the power grid control. At the same time the completed UHV AC/DC hybrid power grid puts forward new requirements for power grid operation and control. In this paper, based on the extended equal-area criterion (EEAC) introduced system of the first swing and reverse swing instability mechanism. Aimed at the access of TCSC to power grid, the problem of lacking of existing security control methods in some system failures that may worsen the problem of unstable modes is furtherly studied. It is noted that the access of TCSC may have negative effects on the security and stability of the power grid. The effects of TCSC will have on the system security and the traditional emergency control are analyzed by the actual power grid data, as well as the corresponding solutions.

Cost compensation mechanism for high wind power integration considering demand respond 考虑需求响应的高风电并网成本补偿机制

The rapid growth of wind energy is presenting great challenges to the traditional dispatch and control of power grid since the wind energy which has an adverse effect on peak regulation is intermittent, fluctuant and uncontrollable. To improve the consumption level of wind energy, this paper proposed a cost compensation mechanism to facilitate the demand side to participate in peak regulation when a large-scale wind power integrates into the grid. Firstly, the complementary relationship of the regenerative electric heating, plug-in electric vehicles and interruptible load in capacity and response characteristics has been analyzed. Based on the analysis, a stochastic unit commitment model with the demand side participant is established, which facilitates the consumption of wind energy. Based on the optimization results, cooperative game theory is introduced to propose the method to work out the allocation results of the demand side response compensation cost, which is based on Shapley value method. Calculation example demonstrates that the cost compensation mechanism facilitating the demand side's participation in the wind power consumption is effective, namely reducing the operation cost of thermal power units while maximizing the flexibility of the demand side and the consumption of the wind energy.

Study on the data synchronization mechanism of Dispatcher Training Simulator 调度员训练模拟器数据同步机制研究

With the development of electrical power automation, the relationship of DTS (Dispatcher Training Simulator), which is a non-real time system, with real-time dispatching and control system becomes closer than ever before. For enhancing the security of system operation, reducing the adverse effect of DTS data synchronization on the real-time system is necessary. Through exploration of data synchronization and modeling process in different contexts of DTS, potential dangerous factors that exist in the currently used DTS database are exposed. In light of the principle of secure partitioning, a new architecture of DTS is presented to separate the future mode and the real-time mode of DTS into two independent sub-systems. Graphs and models in each subsystem's database are maintained and modified respectively so as not to interfere with the real-time system. Analysis indicates that the influence of DTS on the realtime system can be reduced to a lower level by the proposed architecture, meanwhile, the modeling process in DTS is also simplified. The research findings enhance the security and reliability of DTS system as well as the real-time system.

The analysis of frequency spectrum of oil pressure signal in transformer external fault 变压器外部故障中油压信号的频谱分析

When testing transformer is under an external short circuit fault, its wall will get rapid oil pressure fluctuation. This signal changes in a certain law, and it reflects some non-electrical parameter feature of the situation of transformer external short circuit fault. Using the method of experiment testing, this article analyze a 110kV transformer's oil pressure signal feature, and get some conclusion about its harmonic distribution.

Researches on the optimization model and strategies against low voltage in power distribution network 配电网低压优化模型及策略研究

Low voltages and high power loss are two main problems in distribution network especially in remote area. To solve these problems, typical events of low voltage in distribution network need to be analyzed and identify the similarities. Furthermore, building general optimization model for low voltage in distribution network and proposing improved strategies related to such problems are also necessary. This paper proposes optimization model and strategies against low voltage using Matlab as the main platform with objective functions and several constraints. The particle swarm optimization (PSO) is used to solve the problem. With the open DSS COM interface connected to Matlab, the open DSS are called to calculate distribution network 3-phase power flow repeatedly. Finally, the optimizing strategy, including transformer tap positions and capacitors in each node are obtained. Results from simulations verify the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed model.

Probabilistic load flow of islanded microgrid with droop-controlled distributed generations 具有下垂控制分布式代的孤岛微电网的概率潮流

This paper proposes a method of the probabilistic load flow calculation of islanded microgrid (IMG) with droop-controlled distributed generations (DGs). The deterministic load flow is calculated based on Newton Raphson method considering the droop characteristics of DGs. The Monte Carlo method is applied for the evaluation of probabilistic distribution of load flow variables. The stochastic models of distributed generating systems including wind turbines and photovoltaic (PV) systems are established. The load model is considered as following a normal distribution. The effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed method are tested on a modified IEEE33 test system.

Robust OPF considering load and renewable power uncertainties in multi-terminal HVDC grids 考虑负荷和可再生能源不确定性的多端高压直流电网鲁棒OPF

With the development of large-scale offshore wind farms and floating photovoltaics farms, multi-terminal HVDC systems have drawn significant attention in interconnecting the renewable energy to the main HVAC grid. It becomes increasingly important to consider the injection of the offshore renewable generation into the main HVAC power system in the economic operation. At the mean time requirements such as making the control strategies robust to the uncertainties that caused by the intermittency of renewables, have been considered to be of great significance to the electricity network reliability. This paper presents a robust OPF solution for meshed AC and multi-terminal HVDC grids, with large-scale offshore renewable generations connection via voltage source converters (VSC). The obtained solution is robust against uncertain load and wind generation, and able to guarantee full usage of electricity generated by RES. Moreover, multi-terminal HVDC system via VSC presents distinctive ability and flexibility in accommodating intermittent RES.
