An analysis of the necessity to increase the energy efficiency of gear drive components is carried out. Theoretical models of drive systems have been studied. The necessity of improving the tribology parameters has been determined. The research has been implemented based upon improved methodology, which envisages the definition of criteria for analysis and optimization of components of gear drives with a relative equal degree of significance. The methodology applied is enriched with an additional stage of the design process, included at a very early stage of the conceptual layout procedure. Besides, the methodology includes the application of an innovative method which is a part of the procedure of optimization of tribology and kinematic parameters. This approach is related to the study of worm gear parameters with specialized software by applying the interpolation method. The systems analysis performed imposes the conclusion that the results and contributions achieved through the research can be used by the industry and by the scientific community.

Owing to their high availability and scalability, NoSQL databases are becoming more popular for Big data applications in web analytics and supporting large websites. Moreover, each NoSQL system has its API which does not support industry standards like SQL and JDBC, integrating these systems with other enterprise and reporting software takes more time. The main requirements of Big data and data analytics are transforming the data from SQL databases to NoSQL data structures to represent the data. In this work, we presented a method to transform the data from different types of SQL databases to the desired NoSQL database based on the R programming language. The proposed work is based on the R environment used to handle the data from the source system to the target databases and meet the data quality requirements in data transformation. The results confirmed that the development provided a good solution for the data transformation from SQL to NoSQL by taking into account the data quality requirements.

Trapping and selecting a particle intelligently is aspired for the robotic systems in bioengineering. The key element of the process is not to damage the sample when working at a micro-scale. With physical damage, not only the sample would be lost but also the experimental measurements would be useless. The tweezer aims to capture, trapping and manipulating the micro-scale particles. Many types of research presented that there exist diverse types of tweezers which can manipulate particles to a degree. With the help of the hydrodynamic micro tweezer, the particle can be easily captured, manipulated. Furthermore, the stable trajectory of the particle can be determined thanks to the mathematical model presented here. In this paper, we investigated orbital stability and conducted characterization simulations for a hydrodynamic micro tweezers system capturing a rigid spherical particle.

Coronavirus usually transmits from the animal to the human, but now, the virus transmission is between persons. Therefore, scientists and researchers are trying to develop several types of machine learning methods to defend against COVID-19. Medical images play a significant role in this time due to they can be used to recognize COVID-19 accurately. However, in this paper, we used X-Ray images, the images undergone to sharpening techniques to increase the results further. The texture techniques named local binary pattern (LBP) have been used in order to extract features. The features obtained were applied to the support vector machine (SVM). The results we achieved were 100% for all performance measurements. Our results were conspicuously superior compared to the state-of-the-art papers published.

Single-phase grid-connected photovoltaic inverters are commonly used to feed power back to the utility. This study aims to investigate an alternative photovoltaic inverter topology approach with a battery at the DC link for grid-connected photovoltaic applications. The output of the PV modules is connected to the DC/DC synchronous boost converter to increase the system voltage and obtain the maximum available power from the PV arrays. A PWM modulated single-phase half-bridge inverter is used to create a sinusoidal output for grid connection after a low-pass LC filter. Principles of operation, performance and design limitations are discussed. The simulation results show the suitability of the proposed solution for a grid-connected photovoltaic system.

The use of unlicensed software can be vulnerable to cyber-attacks that cause a lot of material or moral loss. This study conducted a survey of unlicensed software usage. Research aims to measure the level of pirated software usage and community awareness. The data is collected in Turkey. As a result of the information obtained, an overall assessment has been made, recommendations are given to reduce the use and adverse effects of unlicensed software.

In the present work, an algorithm for calibrating a 2D camera as a tool for a 6-axis robot is presented. The aim of the present development is to introduce a new, faster, precise, and more reliable way to calibrate a camera as a robot tool. From the proposed algorithm optimization of the time, it takes to calibrate the camera and start programming is achieved. The time is decreased by 80% and the accuracy and reliability of the system are increased.

This study is related to Lead Acid battery charging and the speed of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor control connected to solar energy system. In this paper, Battery charging and Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor control were carried out by keeping the photovoltaic panel at the maximum power point with the Perturb and Observe algorithm. Battery was controlled by applying PI control and Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor was controlled by applying Field Oriented Control. Simulations of the study were made at different radiation and torque values. Thus, the originality of the study was highlighted.

Latest progresses in sensors and information systems have accelerated the progress of unmanned aerial vehicles. Quadrotor unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have the ability to take off and land vertically. Thanks to this feature, unlike conventional unmanned aerial vehicles, it does not need a long runway to take off. Its four propellers and vertical takeoff and landing feature give it the ability to hover and maneuver like helicopters. In this study, nonlinear modeling and robust controller design of a quadrotor UAV under parameter uncertainty and white Gaussian noise disturbance are explained. Nonlinear modeling of the Quadrotor UAV was done using MATLAB/Simulink. Altitude reference and attitude angles following capabilities of the quadrotor UAV have been tested with various simulations under ideal conditions, under uncertain parameters and under white Gaussian noise. The obtained results show that the robust controller can successfully track given references under normal conditions, under uncertain parameters and under noisy conditions.
