[The activity of interferon-dependent 2',5'-oligoadenylatesynthetase in rat thymus lymphoid cells under the action of ethanol and acetic zinc administration]. [乙醇和乙酸锌作用下大鼠胸腺淋巴样细胞干扰素依赖性2′,5′-寡聚腺苷酸合成酶的活性]。

The activity of interferon-induced 2',5'-oligoadenylatesynthetase (2',5'-OA-synthetase) in thymocytes of rats simultaneously treated with ethanol and acetic zinc preparation was studied. The 2',5'-OA-synthetase activity was decreased by 75% after daily ethanol administration for 14 days. The changes were less pronounced at the late terms of the experiment. In vitro stimulation of enzyme activity by inducer cycloferon was more pronounced at the late terms of ethanol action. Combined administration of ethanol and acetic zinc increased the 2',5'-OA-synthetase activity (by 81% at 21th day and by 30% at 28th day) in comparison to the group of animals that consumed ethanol only. The zinc preparation augmented the stimulation of enzyme activity induced by cycloferon, the effect was most prominent at the late terms of the ethanol action (at 28th day). Probably, ethanol depresses the synthesis of interferon or disturbs the functioning of 2',5'-oligoadenylate cascade. The acetic zinc amplifies the interferon synthesis.

[The activity of muscles of the shoulder girdle and shoulder during the constant isometric efforts of the wrist]. [在手腕持续的等距运动过程中肩带和肩部肌肉的活动]。

Electromyogramms (EMG) of eight muscles of the arm were analyzed in 11 healthy men aged 25-40 years during equal magnitude isometric efforts created by wrist. Subjects had to track cursor that moved around on the screen at a constant speed (16 degrees/s) in a horizontal plane. Thus, the subject slowly changed the direction of generation of efforts, while its amplitude remained constant. It was established that during creation of the static efforts equal in all directions, the extensors activity was mainly in the areas of extension of shoulder and elbow joints, whereas the flexor activity was observed in all directions with maximum, which corresponded to the arm bending. It is assumed that muscular activity is organized on the principle of the synergies that are clearly related to the task and beyond it can not exist.

[Morphofunctional state of reproductive system of ageing male rats in case of using nanocerium]. [使用纳米铈对老龄雄性大鼠生殖系统形态功能的影响]。

The influence of nanocrystalline cerium dioxide (NCD, 1 and 100 mg/kg per os daily for 10 days) on morphofuctional state of reproductive system was investigated in ageing male rats. It has been established that activation of hormone-producing testicular Leydig's cells, as well as of secretory and proliferative processes in prostate, underlies the stimulating effect of NCD at a dose 1 mg/kg on hormonal function of testis and spermatogenesis of ageing male rats. NCD used at a dose 100 mg/kg had no significant effect on the assessed indices of morphofuctional state of reproductive system.

[Effects of N-stearoylethanolamine on the emotionality and learning ability of rats]. n -硬脂酰乙醇胺对大鼠情绪和学习能力的影响。

After administration of endocannabinoid-like compound N-stearoylethanolamine (NSE) at a dose of 0,1 and 5 mg/kg the anxiety level of rats in the elevated plus maze and learning ability of rats in the radial maze were investigated. It was revealed that NSE can change both innate and acquired behavior of rats. It was found that the administration of NSE decreased of anxious behavior in general, although number and duration of grooming were not affected. Administration of NSE at a dose of 5 mg/kg decreases of anxious behavior in rats but also decreases locomotor activity. Higher anxiolytic effect of the substance in the elevated plus maze and growth of learning ability in the radial maze were shown during 7 days' introduction of NSE at a dose of 0,1 mg/kg that administration of this substance at a dose of 5 mg/kg. Administration of NSE at a dose of 0.1 mg/kg significantly reduced the total number of errors in the radial maze compared to the control at the first day of conditioning with food reinforcement. The latent period of 3rd reinforcement's taking in animals in this group was lower on the 1st, 5th (P<0.05) and 6th (P <0.01) days. Nevertheless, it was found no significant differences in the behavior in rats treated with NSE in both doses throughout the study period. Therefore, NSE changes the behavior of rats and contributes to the improvement of cognitive function without negative effects specific to cannabinoid drugs.

[Renoprotective efficacy of different doses of statins in experimental acute renal failure]. 不同剂量他汀类药物对实验性急性肾功能衰竭的肾保护作用。

The effect of three statins (atorvastatin, lovastatin, simvastatin) on the renal function under conditions of experimental acute renal failure in rats was studied. The relatively effective doses were found to possess the most considerable renoprotective properties. All the statins were established to cause the restoration of functional activity of the kidneys under conditions of experimental rhabdomyolytic acute renal failure at various doses, but with the dose of 20 mg/kg they showed the most significant improvement in key indices of kidney function: an increase in diuresis by an average of 32% and glomerular filtration rate by an average of 90%, reduction of proteinuria in more than twice. At the same time, in the animals with acute renal failure the level of creatine phosphokinase was increased by 141%. However, the activity of blood plasma creatine phosphokinase of all animals treated with statins was 14% higher than in the intact control, indicating the minor myotrphic activity of statins in selected mode of administration. Thus, the use of 20 mg/kg dose is the most reasonable from the standpoint of renoprotective efficacy and safety.

Expression of XBP1 in lymphocytes of the small intestine in rats under chronic social stress and modulation of intestinal microflora composition. 慢性社会应激大鼠小肠淋巴细胞XBP1的表达与肠道菌群组成的调节

The present study was conducted to investigate of the influence of chronic social stress and modulation of the composition of intestinal microflora on the distribution of Xbp(1+)-lymphocytes in the gut-associated lymphoid tissue of ileum of the rats. Structure of population of Xbp(1+)-cells has been studied by the analysis of serial histological sections using the method of indirect immunofluorescence with monoclonal antibodies to Xbp1 of rat. Chronic social stress development is accompanied with the reduction of total number of Xbp(1+)-lymphocytes in lymphoid structures of ileum (31% -3 fold reduction, p < 0.05), mostly expressed in lymphoidfollicles, and changes the concentration of Xbp1 protein in immunopositive cells. Modulation of the composition of intestinal microflora by antibiotics and probiotics under chronic social stress results in the increase of total number of Xbp1+ lymphocytes in gut-associated lymphoid tissue, the degree of it depends on the kind ofstress. The discovered alterations of Xbp1 expression under stress may be one of the triggers for development of autoimmune and inflammatory bowel diseases. Thus, increased understanding of the molecular actions and transcriptional networks regulated by XBP1 in immune cells may aid in the development of potential therapeutics targeting immune disorders.

The results ofMTHFR gene C(677)-->T (rs1801133) polymorphism determined in 170 patients with ischemic atherothrombotic stroke (IATS) and 124 healthy subjects (control group) are presented in the paper. It has been shown that in patients with IATS, the frequencies of main homozygotes (CC), heterozygotes (CT) and minor homozygotes (TT) are 52.4, 35.9, 11.8% (in control--46.0, 48.4, 5.6%, P = 0.044 by chi2-test). TT homozygotes have a greater chance of developing IATS than carriers of main C-allele (CT + CC) (OR = 2.3, CI = 0.911-5.449, P = 0.049). In the representatives of the Ukrainian population there is a relationship between the frequency of MTHFR gene C(677)-->T polymorphism genotypes and the risk of IATS. This connection is manifested in male patients, in persons with normal blood pressure, and in people who do not have the habit of smoking. The sex of the patients, body mass index, blood pressure and smoking affect the level of the studied polymorphism association with stroke.

The expression of cardiotrophin-1, annexin V, titin and type I collagen was investigated in myocardium of normotensive Wistar rats and spontaneous hypertensive rats with and without experimental diabetes. The Ca(2+)-induced mitochondrial permeability transition pore was assessed in mitochondria isolated from rat hearts. The contents of cardiotrophin-1, annexin V and type I collagen in spontaneous hypertensive rats with diabetes were higher compared with that detected in the groups of normotensive rats and rats with diabetes. The cardiac titin level was 27% lower in animals with hypertension and diabetes compared to spontaneous hypertensive rats without diabetes. The changes of cardiotrophin-1, annexin V, titin and type I collagen expression were associated with higher sensitivity of mitochondrial pore to Ca2+ in myocardium of spontaneous hypertensive rats with diabetes.

[The role of mitochondrial uniporter in calcium-homeostasis of the exorbital lacrimal gland secretory cells]. 线粒体单转运蛋白在眶外泪腺分泌细胞钙稳态中的作用。

The role of mitochondrial calcium-uniporter in calcium-homeostasis maintenance and correlations of calcium-uniporter with other calcium-transport systems of the rat exorbital lacrimal gland secretory cells were studied. The experiments were performed on intact and digitonin-permeabilized cells. The interdependence of calcium-uniporter and other calcium-transporting systems functioning was estimated on the basis of additivity of their inhibitors/agonists effects, which was accompanied with a decrease in the Ca2+ content in the gland cells. It was found that in conditions of simultaneously inhibition of sarco endoplasmic reticulum Ca2+-ATPase (SERCA) and mitochondrial calcium-uniporter Ca2+ passively released from different calcium stores, because the effects of these calcium-transport systems inhibitors (thapsigargin and ruthenium red, respectively) were additive. Similarly, the processes of inositol-1,4,5-trisphosphate receptors (IP3Rs) activation and calcium-uniporter inhibition were additive. In contrast, the effects of ryanodine and ruthenium red on the Ca2+ content in cells were significantly non-additive. In addition, ryanodine at concentrations 1-3 μM reduced respiration rate of studied cells in dose-dependent manner, and this effect was persisted at cells preincubation with ruthenium red or tapsigargin. Thus, besides the activation of ryanodine receptors (RyRs) in endoplasmic reticulum, ryanodine inhibits Ca2+ influx to the mitochondrial matrix, that was insensitive to ruthenium red.

We investigated the effect of nanocrystalline cerium dioxide on parameters of spontaneous and stimulated motility of the stomach and colon in rats. It was found that administration of nanocrystalline cerium dioxide for 10 days increased the amplitude of contractions of stimulated motility in the stomach by 33.0 +/- 2.4% and the frequency of contractions of the colon by 80.3 +/- 7.5%. In this group, the introduction of carbachol also increased the frequency of the contractions by 274.0 +/- 22.9%, compared to the control group. The administration of nanocrystalline cerium dioxide increased the index of motor activity of spontaneous and stimulated motility of the stomach by 19.8 +/- 1.4 and 14.5 +/- 9.0%, respectively. In the colon, the motor activity increased by 14.3 +/- 1.1 and 11.1 +/- 0.8%, respectively. We also found that the nanocrystalline cerium dioxide rebuilt morphological condition of the mucous of the colon.
