A coupled finite element model is developed to analyze the transient thermal and mechanical behaviors of Resistance Spot Welding (RSW) process using commercial software ANSYS. A direct-coupled electrical-thermal Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is firstly performed to simulate the transient thermal characteristics of RSW process. The thermal history of the whole process and the temperature distribution of the weldment are obtained through the analysis. Then based on the thermal results a sequential coupled thermo-elastic-plastic analysis is conducted to determine the mechanical features of RSW process. The mechanical features, including the distributions of the contact pressure at both the faying surface and the electrode-workpiece interface, the stress and strain distributions in the weldment and their changes during the RSW process and the deformation of the weldment are also calculated.

In recent years, the complex network has gradually become a matter of concern areas of research. More and more researchers joining and the new field constantly opening up, the community structure Segmentation become more and more important. In this paper, the associations of the algorithms and the method of evaluation criteria is discussed on the complex networks. Objecting to the map without the right, a few typical associations of algorithms are analyzed, and the capacities of the algorithms were compared through their examples. Finally, the conclusions for the performance of the society algorithm are presented.

In this paper, a run-to-run control with neuro-fuzzy model updating mechanism is developed. This strategy features the ability to learn from previous batches to obtain iteratively the optimal control profile and adjust the neuro-fuzzy model parameters. In addition, an updating algorithm guaranteeing the global convergence of the weights of the model is developed based on the Lyapunov approach. As a result, model uncertainties can be handled. Simulation results show that by updating the model from batch to batch, the control profile converges to the corresponding suboptimal one in the subsequent batches.

It discusses target capture principle and method that based on Virtual Forces with swarm robots, it also provides some performance metrics (such as stabilization time, layer number, distance between layers, robot number in a layer, distributing density and so on); Analyzing the relationship between the performance metrics with the robots number and the virtual force. Put forward the capture method that robot moves around the target, simulation results show that this method can solves the local minima problem, and greatly improves the capture speed and quality. We also design a physics robot experiment to verify capture method. At last, the directions of further research are proposed.

In order to achieve meteorological service automation and intellectualization, weather forecast decision support system is designed and implemented. The system makes meteorological data graphical presentation, and provides consultation function. The user can analyze and label information loaded, and can make the analytical results into consulting document. Practice has proved that the system provides effective support to making decision, and makes forecasting more accurate.

This paper deals with the sensor fault detection problem for linear time-invariant continuous-time systems with disturbances and sensor noises. Two finite frequency performance indexes are introduced to increase the fault sensitivity and attenuate the effects of disturbances and noises. Different from the existing techniques, the recently developed Generalized Kalman-Yakubovich-Popov (GKYP) lemma is applied in this paper to treat the finite frequency performance indexes directly, completely avoiding the complexity of weighting functions of the existing approaches. The design methods are presented in terms of solutions to a set of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). A numerical example is studied to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Aiming at the stability of Naïve Bayes algorithm and overcoming the limitation of the attributes independence assumption in the Naive Bayes learning, we present an ensemble learning algorithm for naive Bayesian classifiers based on oracle selection (OSBE). Firstly we weaken the stability of the naive Bayes with oracle strategy, then select the better classifier as the component of ensemble of the naive Bayesian classifiers, finally integrate the classifiers' results with voting method. The experiments show that OSBE ensemble algorithm obviously improves the generalization performance which is compared with the Naïve Bayes learning. And it prove in some cases the OSBE algorithm have better classification accuracy than Bagging and Adaboost.

This semi-plenary paper presents a brief and selected survey on the advances on stochastic distribution control, where the purpose of the controller design is to control the shape of output probability density functions (pdf) of non-Gaussian and general stochastic systems. This research was motivated through the requirement of distribution shape control of a number of practical systems in 1996. Following the developments since 1996, much research has been performed internationally and journal special issues and invited session at major conferences have been seen since 2001. It is expected that this survey will provide readers with some up-to-date information on this new area.
