Study on Photo-induced Acoustic Charge Transport Effect in GaN Film GaN薄膜中光致声波电荷输运效应的研究

In this paper, we investigated transport characteristic of photo-induced carriers by the potential well caused by travelling acoustic wave. We have carried out a basic experiment using delay lines consisting of GaN film on Al2O3 substrate. As acoustic waves, we used SAW and guide wave layer mode in GaN thin film and employed MSM detector having the same structure as that of input IDT. The results have shown that the DC out put signals are obtained at the output diode for both modes. However, we have observed a relatively complicated phenomena, such as change on DC output signal polarity depending on the intensity of UV, trapping effect of carriers. We clarified that excess carrier either electron or hole in transported carrier would reasonably explain these effects. We also discuss device structures suitable for UV sensors.

A Novel Wave-Separation Scheme for the Extraction of S-Parameters in Non-TEM Waveguides for the FVTD Method 一种用于FVTD法提取非瞬变电磁法波导s参数的新型分离方法

This paper proposes an extended scheme for the extraction of scattering parameters for the Finite-Volume Time-Domain (FVTD) method. The flux-splitting algorithm that is inherent to the FVTD method is exploited to compute the incident and reflected fields in a port. A novel correction scheme for the magnetic field is applied that yields accurate results of the scattering parameters in non-TEM structures by performing an artificial flux separation. Multimode S-parameters of a waveguide discontinuity, that are determined using the proposed approach, are successfully validated with a Mode-Matching analysis.

Size-reduction of coupled-microstrip 3 dB forward couplers by loading with periodic shunt capacitive stubs 通过加载周期性并联电容插脚减小耦合微带3db正向耦合器的尺寸

Downsizing of microstrip coupled-line 3 dB forward (codirectional) couplers are proposed. An enlargement of the difference of the effective phase velocities for the cou- pled-modes is accomplished by loading a coupled micrstrip with periodic shunt capacitive stubs, and consequently the length of the coupled line section is considerably reduced to 18% of a tra- ditional coupled line section. Furthermore, a flat coupling, or a broadband performance, is achieved by use of asymmetrically loaded coupled line section. Finally, the design results are con- firmed both experimentally and numerically.

Microstrip dual-mode band reject filter 微带双模带抑制滤波器

Novel microstrip dual-mode band reject filters using triangular patch resonators are investigated. It is shown that with simple circuit topologies highly selective notch filters can be realized. Full-wave electromagnetic (EM) simulations and circuit modeling are performed in order to understand the operation of this type of filter. Two demonstrators, i.e. single-patch and double-patch dual-mode band reject filters are presented with simulated and measured results.

Coupling matrix synthesis for a new class of microwave filter configuration 一类新型微波滤波器结构的耦合矩阵综合

In this paper a new approach to the synthesis of coupling matrices for microwave filters is presented. The new approach represents an advance on existing direct and optimization methods for coupling matrix synthesis in that it will exhaustively discover all possible coupling matrix solutions for a network if more than one exists. This enables a selection to be made of the set of coupling values, resonator frequency offsets, parasitic coupling tolerance etc that will be best suited to the technology it is intended to realize the microwave filter with. To demonstrate the use of the method, the case of the recently – introduced ‘extended box’ (EB) coupling matrix configuration is taken. The EB represents a new class of filter configuration featuring a number of important advantages, one of which is the existence of multiple coupling matrix solutions for each prototype filtering function, eg 16 for 8th degree cases. This case is taken as an example to demonstrate the use of the synthesis method – yielding one solution suitable for dual-mode realization and one where some couplings are small enough to neglec

Traditional Sensor Network nodes (also called “motes”) have been built around low-end 8-bit microcontrollers and simple single channel radios. These platforms are very resource constrained which limits their application to more demanding tasks. These limitations were imposed by constraints on cost, power consumption and physical size. Intel Motes represent a new class of Sensor Network platforms that are motivated by several new design goals: increased CPU performance and memory capacity, improved radio bandwidth and reliability, as well as cost-effectiveness. We describe details of the new platform architectures as well as practical experiences with the new motes regarding CPU and radio performance, networking algorithms, and battery life.

Widely tunable high-Q evanescent-mode resonators using flexible polymer substrates 采用柔性聚合物衬底的宽可调谐高q倏逝模谐振器

Widely tunable high-Q evanescent-mode resonators are created using layer-by-layer polymer stereolithography process. The ability of polymer stereolithography process to fabricate thin flexible 3D structures with small fabrication tolerances enables the realization of highly loaded tunable evanescent-mode resonators. A tunable frequency range of 5.4-10.9 GHz, which corresponds to an equivalent capacitance tunability of 400%, is obtained with quality factors ranging from 745 to 1,580 over the tunable frequency range.

Microwave breast cancer detection records the differences in electrical properties between healthy and malignant tissue. Tissue sensing adaptive radar (TSAR) has been proposed as a method for early tumor detection. Reflections from the differences in electrical properties between healthy and diseased tissue (tumors) are time-shifted and summed to create images. In this paper, the TSAR second generation experimental system is presented. An antenna is tested and characterized, reflections are recorded and the image formation algorithms are tested. Finally, preliminary tumor detection with the experimental setup is evaluated.

Design of novel attenuator structure with quad spiral shaped defected ground structure 四螺旋形缺陷接地结构的新型衰减器结构设计

A novel design of attenuator using quad spiral shaped defected ground structure (QSSDGS) and its related design formulae are proposed. Series resistors and quarter wave transmission line that has the role of inverter are synthesized to design the proposed attenuator. The proposed attenuator removes unexpected peaked insertion loss signal by its unique slope. It has various attenuation level and good return loss, so it can be used to the systems that have an unwanted peaked insertion loss. The various attenuation values are achieved due to pin diodes, as an example, 10~15 dB attenuation level presented in this work. The measured results of the proposed novel attenuator having QSSDGS are in a good agreement with theoretical expectation.
