Comparison of Beta-hydroxybutyrate Levels in the First 3 Weeks After Calving in Four Healthy Different Breeds of Cows 4种不同健康品种奶牛产犊后3周β -羟基丁酸水平的比较

The objective of this study was to determine the differences between the healthy Holsteın-Friesian, Jersey, Simmental, and Aberdeen Angus breeds Beta-hydroxybutyrate (BHBA) levels at the first three weeks after calving. The blood samples were collected for analysis between 10-20 days postpartum. In this study, 80 animals were used in different regions in total. BHBA was analyzed by Ketosite®( Ketosite®, Stanbio Labrotory Inc., Boerne, TX USA). Milk fat and protein levels were immediately measured by an electronic milk analyser (Milkoscan FT1 FOSS industries, Denmark). Statistical analyses of the study were performed using Sigma Plot 12 ( Systat Software Inc., San Lose, CA). The means of BHBA levels were compared by One Way Anova. As in Holstein cows, blood BHBA levels increased in the early lactation period and also in other breeds. The results of this study presented that serum BHBA levels were significantly higher in Holsteın-Friestein cows than in Simmental and Aberdeen Angus cows.

Süt Sığırlarında Propilen Glikol Ve Gliserol Kullanımının Bazı Kan, Süt Ve Kondüsyon Parametreleri Üzerine Etkileri

Bu çalışmanın amacı; geçiş döneminde görülen negatif enerji dengesi problemine, glikoz prekürsörlerinin kan parametreleri süt bileşimi ve vücut kondisyon skoru üzerindeki etkilerini incelemektir. Çalışmada en az bir doğum yapmış, 60 Holstein ırkı süt ineği kullanılmıştır. Hayvanlar 20’şer adetten oluşan 3 gruba ayrılmıştır. Gliserol (G) grubundaki hayvanlara sabah yemlemesinden sonra günde 1 öğün pompayla 450 ml gliserol, Propilen Glikol (PG) grubuna 300 ml propilen glikol içirilmiştir. Kontrol (K) grubundaki hayvanlara herhangi bir uygulama yapılmamıştır. Hayvanların süt verimleri deneme süresince günlük takip edilmiştir. Laktasyonun 100. gününe kadar her hafta art arda iki gün tüm sığırlardan süt numunesi toplanarak süt analizleri yapılmıştır. Beta hidoksi-bütirik asit (BHBA) ve esterleşmemiş yağ asitleri (NEFA) gibi metabolik profil testleri için kan örnekleri doğum öncesi 1, doğum sonrası 0, 1, 2 ve 3. haftalarda alınarak ticari kitlerle analizleri yapılmıştır. İneklerden alınan kan numunelerinden BHBA, NEFA ve VKS seviyelerinde gruplar arasında farklılık saptanmamıştır. Öte yandan süt yağı PG grubu ineklerde (%3,67) ise K (%3,44) ve G (%3,46) gruplarına göre daha yüksek bulunmuştur (P0,05).
