In this Study, it was aimed to examine the greenhouse gas emissions caused by sea transportation, especially by cruise passenger ships in the Caribbean region. With this Study Fleet of Princess Cruises was analysed. Central America region was chosen as the study area. So, Sky Princess, Crown Princess, Island Princess, Enchanted Princess and Princess of Caribbean were analysed. Annually and daily CO 2 emission. However, in this Analyse, calculations were made according to formulation was formed by Trozzi and Vaccaro. In this study, it is showed that the cruise holidays are not innocent even marine transportation is the one of the greenest transportation mode. Moreover, lower occupancy rates make higher per capita CO 2 emissions. So, if we assume that a cruise ship is a country, its occupancy rate should be almost 100% to have lowest per capita CO 2 emissions.

Drought stress has negative effects on plant metabolism and growth. Seed priming is one of the ways used to strengthen crop plants at the seed stage against drought stress. In this study, the physiological effects of seed priming (1, 12, 24, and 48 hours) and foliar treatments of H2O2 (50 M) and GR24 (20 M) on 21 day old wheat seedlings (drought sensitive Triticum aestivum cv. 95 and drought tolerant cv. Tosunbey) were studied. The plant samples were used to determine the total chlorophyll content, total protein amount, root and stem length, seedling weight, and specific leaf area. Our results showed that only GR24 increased growth in the Tosunbey variety with seed priming. On the other hand, foliar GR24 was effective in both varieties against the detrimental effect of PEG induced osmotic stress, while foliar H2O2 treatment was effective only in the Tosunbey variety. Generally, it has been determined that the GR24 application supports the growth in both varieties, while the H2O2 treatment increases the growth only in drought tolerant wheat variety. Vitis vinifera L. (grape) is a plant that is cultivated extensively in the world and in our country because of it’s economic importance. Grape fruit can be use as juice, molasses, wine and medicinal industry. Although there are many types of genetically potent grape varieties, today there is a growing demand for varieties with high yield and quality, especially resistant to stress factors. The aim of our research were comparison of MS and Gamborg nutrient mediums on in vitro grape callogenesis levels. In this research, petiole and shoot tip explants which taken from two years old V. vinifera Bozcaada Cavus Grape cv. seedlings were cultured on MS0 and Gamborg mediums for callogenesis. After healthy callus biomass have been obtained from different explant types of the grape on MS0, this callus cultures have been transferred to the MS mediums which supplemented with 1:1 mg/mL BAP:2,4-D together. Gamborg medium has been eliminated because of no callogenesis. The effects of combinations of plant growth regulators on the callus have been determined by the means of biomass levels. Subculture series was observed across four subcultures. As a result, MS medium which supplemented with BAP and 2,4-D together choosed for the callogenesis experiments and callogenesis induction has been increased %80 when we compare with MS0 medium. There are no research have been found on petiole and shoot tip explants of this cultivar which cultured on MS and Gamborg mediums for callogenesis. In our research, it has been demonstrated that different nutrient medium types and plant growth regulators have been efffective on callogenesis in different levels. This study was carried out to determine the effect of Ecklonia maxima type seaweed extract applied to growth media on mycelium growth of oyster mushroom ( Pleurotus ostreatus) . In the experiment, most common 2 growth media [Malt Extract Agar (MEA) and Potato Dextrose Agar (PDA)] were used. After the prepared MEA (48 g L -1 ) and PDA (39 g L -1 ) medium was autoclaved at 121 ° C for 20 minutes, half was separated and 2% E. maxima seaweed extract (DY) was added. The experiment consisted of 4 growth media: MEA, PDA, MEA + DY and PDA + DY. While the prepared environments were warm and fluidal, they were filled in petri dishes under UV light in a sterile cabinet and left to cool. After surface disinfection of oyster mushrooms, clones were taken and placed on the medium in petri dishes and petri dishes were closed with parafilm. The petri dishes (n=15) were placed in the incubator at 24 °C. Daily mycelia lengths and weight of petri dishes were measured and mycelia growrth pwriod (day) and rate (cm day -1 ) were calculated. Among the used growth media, PDA was given more and heavier mycelia growth in a shorter time than MEA. DY application was increased mycelia growth period and reduced growth rate. DY was showed better performance in PDA medium. As a result of the research, it has been determined that the addition of liquid seaweed extract preparation to PDA at a rate of 2% (PDA + DY) increased micelle growth and shortened micelle growth period.

Aim : It can be quite difficult to remove foreign bodies located within soft tissue. The location needs to be defined for the procedure to be successful. The aim of this study was to present our cases where a foreign body had been detected and then removed from various anatomical regions. Material and Method : This article is about the evaluation results of our foreign body cases referred to the Kafkas University Faculty of Medicine from the Family Medicine practices in Kars and the surrounding regions. The charts of 15 patients who had presented to the General Surgery or Orthopedics and Traumatology Departments of the Kafkas University Faculty of Medicine after being referred from the emergency or outpatients departments between November 2015 and July 2019 were retrospectively reviewed. The demographic findings, surgical treatment and results, etiological causes and postoperative complications of the patients were recorded. Follow-up duration was 6 months to 3 years depending on the patient's condition. Results: There were 8 male and 7 female patients. The mean age was 30.79 years. The symptoms were pain, redness, swelling, itching and serous or purulent discharge for foreign bodies in the hand, foot, femur-tibia soft and bone tissue areas and acute abdomen symptoms in the patient where we found an intra-abdominal foreign body. The imaging methods used were conventional radiography and computed tomography. Treatments included removal of needle from soft tissue, bullet fragment from bone intramedullary tissues and intrauterine device from transverse colon meso. We also observed the rectal passage with feces of an intestinal intraluminal metallic device after it was swallowed. There was only one complication among all our patients and consisted of partial radial nerve damage. Conclusion: Foreign bodies should be located with imaging methods and removed under sterile conditions in the operating room. Early detection and removal of foreign bodies from anatomical regions are vital.

Throughout the world major proportion of milk is obtained from large dairy animals, cows and buffaloes, however there is a considerable proportion of milk yield obtained from small dairy animals, sheep and goats. The share of milk production by sheep in total milk yield of the world is small because of different breeds having different genetic potential of milk production, managemental factors, environmental factors, nutritive factors, etc. The sheep milk is important because of cheese making. Due to microbial resistance, risk of drug residues either in milk, meat, or in eggs are dangerous for humans beings. So therefore the use of these synthetic compounds to improve immunity, health (antibiotics are used for growth promotion), and productivity (hormones are used to boost the milk production) in dairy animals is discouraged and the European Union has banned the use of these synthetic compunds in animals. So the phytobioactive compounds, essential oils, are used in feeds or rations of dairy animals to increase their production. These compounds are added not only to improve the milk yield but also to improve fat, protein and lactose contents of milk. The essential oils added in the diets of small dairy animals are usefull to counter the negative energy balance as well as the fatty acid profie to increase the quality of sheep milk.
