Breast cancer presents varied and complex clinicopathological features which make its management individualistic, prolonged and expensive, thus the need to differentiate each type of breast cancer using cheap and easy to perform investigations. This study evaluated the differentiation potential of extensive immune-nutritional indices which combined serum C-reactive protein (CRP), haemoglobin, albumin levels, blood lymphocyte and platelet counts in breast cancer patients of different status. The aim of this study was to investigate whether pre-treatment Onodera’s prognostic nutritional index (OPNI), CRP-Albumin-Lymphocyte (CALLY) index and the Haemoglobin, Albumin, Lymphocyte and Platelet (HALP) scores differ with breast cancer characteristics. We enrolled a total of 135 consecutive newly diagnosed breast cancer patients who were not on any treatment from Radiation Oncology Department, University College Hospital, Ibadan, Nigeria. Lymphocyte count, platelet count and haemoglobin levels were determined using auto-analyser while serum CRP and albumin levels were measured using ELISA. Immune-nutritional indices (OPNI, CALLY and HALP) were calculated. Haemoglobin concentration, serum albumin level, OPNI, CALLY and HALP were significantly decreased while serum CRP was significantly raised in breast cancer patients compared with control. Mean values of OPNI, CALLY and HALP were significantly decreased in late stage breast cancer patients compared with early stage breast cancer patients, while only CALLY was significantly decreased in poorly differentiated and metastatic breast cancer patients compared with well differentiated and non-metastatic breast cancer patients respectively. This study confirmed the presence of malnutrition and inflammation in breast cancer patients, especially late-stage, poorly differentiated and metastatic groups. This calls for monitoring of liver functions in all cases of breast cancer.

Gathered facts about the marine artisanal fishery located at Sassandra, southwestern Côte d’Ivoire are provided, talking about commercial species that are targeted by that fishery, addressing the types of jobs generated and stating the prominent role of women, especially that of fishers´ wives, in post-harvesting tasks and related activities. Therefore, interviews were carried out in February, March and July 2021, within the fishers´ community, at dockside and marketplaces. The results indicated that the fishing sector generated a large number of professionals (250 respondents, of whom 76 men and 174 women) who were associated with fifteen types of jobs listed among managers appointed by the Government and privately employed professionals. In addition, socio-economic characteristics that were focused on indicated that the highest percentage of active persons (38.4%) was recorded within the age bracket of 35-45. More than half of respondents had no schooling. Tunas and other species landed, depending on fishing seasons, made up a large part of the fish consumed. Daily fish-consumption varied depending on household numbers, with consumption between 1.0 and 1.5 Kg/d or 2.0 and 2.5 Kg/d being the commonest. This study really shows that the local fishery is of vital importance to the whole community.  Â
In this paper, study of the impact of a new treatment approach in the aggregation kinetics of deoxy-hemoglobin S molecules is developed. New approach exploring mathematical model of dielectric permittivity of Davidson-Cole and takes into account several relaxation times of the dielectrics substances like blood. Results are such that, (i) only a fine analysis of intrinsic energy dissipation curves allow sufficient precision to be obtained to describe chronic hemolytic anemia due to sickle cell anemia based on the frequency of relaxation, (ii) hematocrit calculation by the formula allowed to show the uniqueness of the relaxation time of deoxy-hemoglobin S, (iii) hematocrit levels are low and the dispersion coefficient is the parameter most influential in the aggregation of hemoglobin S. From the analysis of all these results, it appears that, the mathematical model of Davidson-Cole is a good model interpretation and knowledge of sickle cell disease. The interest of this work is the understanding of the molecular mechanism that can help develop new treatment approaches capable of preventing or limiting the risk of complications of red blood cell diseases. Â

The predominance of the primary sector is noticeable in the economy of most African countries, particularly in Benin. Thus, to make this sector a vector of wealth and development, it is imperative to think about the development of technologies to improve the efficiency of processing and product quality. The mechanization of this sector is therefore necessary to make it more competitive. In Benin we have a lot of products which are made with the coconut. This sector has been relegated to a non-priority plan, whereas the coconut palm is a plant with a very considerable value like the oil palm, of which all the derived products are usable. It seems necessary to pass to the revival of this sector to help to stabilize the incomes of the small producers and traders in particular and to improve the commercial balance of the country in general. The maximization of the output of this sector directs towards the formula of Lavoisier: "nothing is lost, nothing is created, everything is transformed". The application of this formula allows us to transform the by-products of the said product. Currently, the de-shearing of the coconut is done manually with a cutter or with a pointed object. This way of making is too painful for producers who have large exploitations of coconut trees. In order to make this sector more profitable, our end-of-training work focuses on the study and design of a coconut de-sheathing machine intended to accompany coconut producers by reducing their pains and increasing their productivity in order to enhance the transformation of the said product. Â

In the present paper, an algorithm was developed to represent the behavior of the current SARS-CoV-2 virus epidemic in Mexico, known as COVID-19, to obtain a likely scenario for the coming months and provoke a healthy discussion about the problem. The data reported by government entities is considered first by analyzing a simple model, via the construction of a polynomial, and then building an exponential type function, from the so-called logistic function. A numerical comparison is made with the officially provided data, and the graphs obtained from the solutions found are shown, including a brief explanation on how to interpret them appropriately. Finally, the possible scenario for the following months of the development of the epidemic in Mexico is discussed. Â

In social network analysis, for determining the relevance or significance of a node in the network, several node centrality measures are often used such as degree centrality, betwenness centrality, closeness centrality, eigenvector, subgraph and page rank centrality. In this paper we apply a principal components analysis over the traditional centrality measures for obtaining an overall single metric that combines the best attributes of the traditional centrality measures and permits to detect relevant nodes in the network. Concretely, a detailed study of the Spanish stocks market will be used for demonstrating the advantages of this approach.

In this paper, we have obtained exact static spherical symmetric soliton-like solutions to the electromagnetic and scalar nonlinear induction field equations taking into account the own gravitational field of the elementary. The results show that the metric tensor functions are regular with localized energy density. Moreover, the total energy of the nonlinear induction fields is bounded and the total charge of elementary particles has a finite value. The importance of the own gravitational field of elementary particles and the role of the nonlinearity of fields in the determination of these solutions have been proved.

The agriculture sector is of great importance to the development of any nation in Africa; hence, it is determined by the operating climatic mechanisms of such nation, especially rainfall. This study was carried out to assess the inter-annual rainfall variability impacts on cash crop yield in Ondo state for a period of twenty years (2000-2019). The study employed mainly secondary data which was analyzed using inferential statistics. Trend analysis was used to determine the pattern of rainfall and cash crops’ yield for the period under review. Also it was revealed that there were fluctuations in the trend of rainfall and the yield of cash crops. The correlation analysis showed a significant relationship between rainfall and cash crops yield; but an inverse relationship with rubber yield specifically. On the other hand the regression analysis showed little impact of rainfall variability on cash crop yield. However, it was recommended that in this era of dwindling economy due to over reliance on crude oil in Nigeria, the government through National Orientation Agency and Non-governmental Organizations should keep persuading and enlightening Nigerians to venture into agriculture to save the country’s economy and reduce poverty. Â

Previously, by analytical method, some authors have shown that the harmonic noise is more indicated in the aggregation of deoxy-hemoglobin S. The problem that still arises is the relationship between the energy spectra and the microscopic properties of dielectric substances. The numerical approach of the correlation function’s Fourier transform of different random processes have permit to obtain the frequency distribution spectra of energy and the fluctuations of the amplitudes. The results have shown that (i) only a fine analysis of the curves can permit obtain sufficient precision on the noise indicated in the aggregation of deoxy-hemoglobin S, (ii) in the presence of harmonic noise, the frequency distribution of energy and fluctuations of the amplitudes are low compared to white and colored noise, (iii) method exploiting the frequency distribution of energy and the fluctuations of the amplitudes justify well that the harmonic noise is the best indicated in the aggregation of the deoxy-hemoglobin S. Â
