Terrestrial Biotic Ligand model to predict bioavailability of heavy metals in rhizosphere 陆地生物配体模型预测根际重金属的生物可利用性

Bioavailability of heavy metals in soil is to be considered in order to examine toxic effects on soil organisms. Particularly, metal speciation in soil pore water must be taken into account in order to examine the bioavailability to soil organisms. In the Center for the Study of Metals in the Environment, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, University of Delaware, some practical studies have been conducted to examine the bioavailability of metals in soil. In this manuscript, some of the promising studies including Terrestrial Biotic Ligand Model(TBLM)are introduced.

1.はじめに 我が国の農薬の使用実態や汚染状況について は、他の目的で使用される化学物質に比べれば よく把握されていると考えられる。また、農薬 原体および製剤の水生生物への毒性についても 単体としては急性影響に限るものの明らかにす ることが求められている。それでもなお農薬類 の生態影響について明確になっているとは言い 難い。本稿ではそのような状況でバイオモニタ リング手法の導入の意義を論じるものである。 環境中の化学物質の人の健康および生態系へ の影響を生物を用いて監視する手法をまとめて バイオモニタリング手法というもののその内容 は実に広範である.目的別にみると次のように なる(Loeb & Spacie, 1994; Mineau, 1991; Rand & Petrocelli, 1985; Kramer, 1994, 畠山&菅谷1999). ・早期警戒を目的とする BEWS(Biological Early Warning Systems)に類するもの. ・単数または複数の定点における経時的な環境 変動を把握しようとするもの. ・ある時点における汚染(物質または影響)の 平面的分布を把握しようとするもの. この分類毎に、利用される主な生物反応を表1 に示す。 対象とする物質(群)を農薬に限る場合、農 薬の散布方法が流域周辺での空中散布の場合は 一時的・高濃度汚染に対応した手法が適してお り、それ以外の通常の散布においては低濃度・ 複合・比較的長期の汚染に対応すべきである。 さらに対象物質がある程度特定できるため、化
