Inflammatory process caused by cholecystitis may be the reason for changing the functional tests of the liver, and these changes help reduce the risk of an Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCR) and predict stones in the bile ducts. The presented study was performed between October 2017 and December 2019 on 140 patients suffering from cholecystitis. This study sought to evaluate the role of liver function testing in diagnosing stones in the bile duct. Patients underwent surgically removing gallstones, then performing intravenous cholangiography for patients suspected of having biliary colic, and hepatic enzymes were measured from direct and total bilirubin, (ALP), Alanine Aminotransferases (ALT), and Aspartate Aminotrans ferases (ASTs) that were not mainly diagnosed. Based on the high level of hepatic enzymes, ALP, ALT, and AST did not have significant differences between the two study groups, so to make sure of the presence of stones, we rely on conducting ultrasound imaging before performing intravenous imaging of the bile duct ERCP.

The article describes the results of the research on the formation of the bone system of the carcasses of purebred and crossbreed steers. Three groups of animals were selected for the experiment by the analog method. The first group consisted of purebred steers of Simmental breed, the second and third groups consisted of 1⁄2 blooded steers of Simmental and Charolais beef breeds, respectively. The dynamics of age changes in the skeleton were studied by determining the absolute relative weight and calculating the growth coefficient. The research showed that the absolute weight of the skeleton has increased with the development of the test steers. Thus, if the skeleton mass of newborn steers was 7.44, 7.34, and 8.30 kilos for each group, then at the age of 6 and 12 months, it had increased to 29.2, 29.8, and 30.6 in group 2, 45.8, 45.3, and 46.4 in group 3, and 53.7, 54.2, and 54.6 at the end of the experimental period at the age of 18 months.

To treat Alzheimer’s Disease (AD), which is the most prevalent form of dementia, cholinesterase enzymes (AChE and BuChE) and amyloid-beta (Aβ) are attractive targets. In this work, different computational approach namely Density Functional Theory (DFT), Molecular Docking, and multi-QSAR modeling were performed on 22 donepezil-based derivatives which were reported as potent dual Aβ and (AChE and BuChE) inhibitors. The molecular geometries of the studied derivatives were carried out using GAUSSIAN 09 software with the level of theory (DFT, 6/31g*). The dual inhibitors adopted minimum energy. The results pointed out the importance of the inhibitors' geometries in enzyme inhibition. The QSAR models elaborated by means of Molecular Operating Environment (MOE) package, showed good statistical values for targets AChE (R2adj = 0.976, q2 = 0.871, RMS = 0.130), BuChE (R2adj = 0.976, q2 = 0.554, RMS = 0.092) and Aβ (R2adj = 0.861, q2 = 0.525, RMS = 0.113). To identify the binding pattern between the ligands and target enzymes, we implemented molecular docking studies for the datasets. The obtained information was related to the essential structural features that were related to the QSAR of the predicted models.

This research deals with the organic extracts impact of Bunium incrassatum on the immune expression of estrogen receptors that is the assessment of the effect of organic extracts from the seeds of Bunium incrassatum (Apiaceae) on the immune labelling of estrogen receptors in the adrenal gland of pregnant rabbits from the local population (Oryctolagus cuniculus). The work was carried out on pregnant rabbits during the last third of gestation (from day 17 to day 27 of gestation). The animals were divided into four groups which received daily oral doses: 50, 100, and 200 mg/kg/day, respectively. The group with dose 0 was taken as a control. After treatment, the rabbits were sacrificed (28 day of gestation). Their organs were removed, defatted, and weighed then fixed in 10% formalin and the blood was collected in tubes with heparin. For immunohistochemistry, mouse monoclonal antibodies were used to determine the ER presence in the adrenal gland of rabbits. Theresults indicated that treatment with organic extract of Bunium incrassatum induced an increased rate of change in the thickness of the adrenal cortex in the treated groups compared to the control. A strong immune expression of estrogen receptors was observed in the groups treated with 50 and 100 mg / kg / day compared to the group treated with 200 mg/ kg/day. It can be concluded that estradiol has a direct effect on adrenal function in pregnant rabbits. Likewise, the components of the organic extract from the roots of Bunium incrassatum have modulatory activities for ER.
