Toxic effect of coloured olive compounds on the anaerobic digestion of olive oil mill effluent in UASB-like reactors 彩色橄榄化合物对uasb样反应器中橄榄油厂废水厌氧消化的毒性影响

Anaerobic sludge digestion of olive oil mill effluent (OOME) in Upflow Anaerobic Sludge Blanket (UASB) reactors was shown to be unstable as a result of both chemical and biological parameters. The study was complicated by the fact that Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) was removed by growth and maintenance of active biomass and by adsorption in and on the sludge. Coloured compounds caused an inhibition effect on the anaerobic digestion of the wastewater. This inhibition, shown at low COD concentrations of diluted OOME, was due to accumulation of recalcitrant coloured compounds in the sludge, inducing irreversible inhibition of bacterial growth. Partial decolourization of OOME through resin (Duolite XAD 761) treatment reduced the toxic effect.

Combined bioreaction and separation in a simulated counter-current chromatographic bioreactor-separator for the hydrolysis of lactose 在模拟逆流色谱生物反应器-分离器中结合生物反应和分离用于乳糖水解

The hydrolysis of lactose using the enzyme lactase from Aspergillus oryzae and the simultaneous separation of the products galactose and glucose was examined in a Simulated Counter-Current Chromatographic Bioreactor-Separator (SCCR-S) system. The system was operated in continuous and batch modes and the results obtained used to compare the performance in both modes. Mathematical modelling and computer simulation of the system operating in the continuous mode are reported.

Photolytic decomposition of bentazone 苯达酮的光解分解

The photolytic decomposition of the herbicide Bentazone (3-isopropyl-1H-2,1,3-benzothiadiazin-4-3H-one 2,2 dioxide) has been conducted by direct polychromatic UV radiation, and by the combination of that UV radiation with hydrogen peroxide. The experiments were performed at various temperatures and pH values, and the initial hydrogen peroxide concentration in the combined process was also varied. An Emission Model was used to evaluate the radiation flow rate absorbed by the reacting medium for each reaction time. From simple mechanisms, the rate equations for both processes were obtained. The application of the experimental data to those equations allows one to determine the quantum yields for the direct photolysis, and the kinetic constants for the reaction between Bentazone and the hydroxyl radicals generated in the combined photolysis.

The influence of metallic ions on the activity of Sulfolobus BC 金属离子对磺胺虫活性的影响

The influence of several metallic ions on Sulfolobus BC activity was examined. The maximum tolerance to increasing quantities of metal in cultures grown on copper concentrate was determined after a period of progressive adaptation. In addition, the influence of several metal concentrations on the capacity of the microorganisms to oxidize ferrous iron and sulphur was studied individually. In all cases silver, mercury, ruthenium and molybdenum inhibited bacterial growth. The use of adapted microorganisms led to an increase in the oxidation rate of both substrates, which was related to bacterial activity.
