INTRODUCTION: The Biomedical Scientist is prepared for the exercise of numerous activities related to the area, today there are 35 qualifications duly established and regulated by the Federal Council of Biomedicine (CFB) ensuring this performance. Since then the course has expanded and broken national boundaries, so there is also the course in Bahia, especially in the extreme Baiano. MATERIALS AND METHODS: This is a study of perception, carried out with field research with the use of data survey through questionnaires applied to undergraduate students in the year before the SARS-Cov-2 Pandemic. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION: The answers of 63 students were evaluated, and separated according to each question, 33% of the students have the knowledge that for the profession there is still no defined wage cap, needing more regulations with the CFB, 86% of the students did not know that they can act in the Strategy and Health of the Family (ESF), in the vaccination area and acupuncture, at the time to the research 64% of the sample did not exercise paid activity, what facilitates the non-obligatory internship that according to the questioned ones should begin in the 3rd semester. CONCLUSION: Thus, through the study of the students' knowledge of the course, it is clear that health care becomes more complex and the biomedicine student should be trained in a broader way, having contact with discussions in other areas.

It is known that the cranial cruciate legament is one of the main stabilizers of the knee, and problems in it can bring complications to the animal, including the rupture of the cranial cruciate ligament, which is classified as one of the biggest diseases in the pelvic limbs in dogs. Its diagnosis is made through a thorough consultation and, during the physical exam, the drawer and tibial compression tests. However, as a confirmatory diagnosis, complementary imaging exams are used for a better visualization of suspicious problems. Conservative and surgical treatments are included in its treatment, where the surgical ones include extracapsular, intracapsular, and corrective osteotomies, the latter being the most modern and safest in terms of possible relapse and future joint degeneration, because they are procedures that modify the bone anatomy, restoring stability and returning function to the limb; however, the choice of treatment is always made individually for each patient. Thus, the present study aims to report the case of a patient with rupture of the cranial cruciate ligament and the TPLO surgical technique as a solution, in order to contribute to advances in the field of orthopedics. The information was obtained through follow-up and review of the patient's medical record, photographic record of the exams for which the patient was submitted, and literature review in articles on the Scielo and Google Academic platforms.

Considering that the appropriation of geometric knowledge can help the student to understand the world around him, this work aims to show how the teacher can analyze his student's level of geometric knowledge. As a theoretical contribution, using the Van Hiele Theory which considers that the appropriation of geometric knowledge occurs at five levels, level 1 (recognition, comparison and nomenclature of geometric figures by their appearance), level 2 (analysis of figures, properties and use of them ), level 3 (precise definitions, informal logical arguments and ordering of classes of geometric figures), level 4 (demonstrations and recognition of necessary and sufficient conditions) and level 5 (formal demonstration, establishment of theorems in different systems and comparison of them) .

The present work presents a research carried out with 6th and 7th grade students of Elementary School II at Escola Municipal Mon. Walfredo Gurgel Alto do Rodrigues/RN, aiming to encourage the use of materials such as Ruler and Square in Mathematics classes and to know your opinion about the use of Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality glasses. This aimed at a reflective analysis of how the inclusion of technologies in education can enhance learning when the use of multimedia resources that help in understanding mathematical concepts or that enable a dynamic visualization of the object of study are encouraged. She seeks to know what the contribution of this device to the teaching and learning process of Mathematics. Methodologically, the work is characterized as an exploratory research of qualitative and quantitative nature, with a bias towards a case study, with data collected through a semi-structured questionnaire with 102 students. We can count on an interdisciplinary planning to present the programmed contents with more meaning. The results were analyzed based on the research instruments and the testimonies of the students, in addition to a brief study on information and communication technologies applied to learning. Thus, the data are organized in graphs where the research findings are expressed.

The toxoplasmosis is a zoonosis caused by protozoan Toxoplasma Gondii and although cats play a main roll on the disease life cycle developing the protozoan by sexual reproduction, the contact with cats represents a low number of cases on transmission of the zoonosis, the main transmission is caused by the intake of infected food, like fruits, vegetables, raw or poorly cooked meat that may contain cysts. The study was developed aiming to evaluate the knowledge and preventive behavior regarding toxoplasmosis and link it with cats on the cycle of the zoonosis. A form was created with eight questions about it, 793 people participated, all located in national territory. Therefore, based on this information, we can confirm that, although most of the people that already have a college degree or is still finishing it, does not have knowledge about toxoplasmosis, whereas the majority still think that contact with cats is the biggest way to become infected.

Interdisciplinarity is an advocacy of multiple disciplines, not the elimination of curricular subjects, as one might mistakenly infer. In other words, a solid disciplinary base is a prerequisite for the development of interdisciplinary projects. At the same time, disciplines are historical products of scientific development, being epistemological tools of scientific practice and political institutional arrangements for the control of knowledge. The knowledge related to interdisciplinarity builds, in the social environment, a relationship established across disciplines, and can be inserted in schools through projects and comprehensive work. Such projects can be observed in some universities. The use of interdisciplinarity in science and technology courses offers precious opportunities for students to solve problems, effectively building and consolidating knowledge in a learning process capable of inserting them in the labor market. Like interdisciplinarity, multidisciplinarity is a catalyst in the teaching-learning process, enabling students to act actively in the construction of their knowledge. Multidisciplinarity means that several disciplines study the same subject at the same time. The present article was developed to present a qualitative and quantitative panorama of the courses of Interdisciplinary Bachelor of Science and Technology, offered in brazilian federal universities.

This study deals with the analysis of an automation method for a functional hand prosthesis. The possibility of adapting to a prosthesis manufactured by the 3D printing process that originally moved mechanically was evaluated, with the aim of automating this artifact and making it functional. It was idealized to develop an automation system for this type of prosthesis, so that obtaining by the additive manufacturing method is quick and easy, and is suitable to receive the customized automation system and accessible to users. After all the modeling and confection processes were completed, the Arduino® software with C / C ++ language was used, developing the programming for the prosthesis. The program was created with the function of performing reading by electromyography sensors (EGM), which has the function of capturing the action potentials produced by muscle fibers of the arm and its contraction, and sending this captured data to the Arduino® board, which then sends a signal to the micro motors, responsible for moving the arms. fingers. It was possible to manufacture the prosthesis, as planned and projected on a computer design platform, performing automation, testing the degree of movement qualitatively.

Since Brazil is one of the countries which generate more waste in the world and that organic waste represents more than half of this amount, this article aimed to evaluate the life cycle of solid waste in the City Market of Caucaia / CE, carrying out a study with a qualitative and quantitative approach, a descriptive nature and a bibliographic and documentary basis. Using two questionnaires, workes were interviewed, totaling 10 individuals. These individuals were asked about the generation, collection and destination of the waste produced. To understand the management of waste produced in the market, it was decided to interview the city hall technician responsible for the area. Most marketers deposit their waste in the open, do not know the final destination or ways of treating this waste and do not have access to selective collection. More than half of the waste produced has organic origin, however, there are wastes that need specific destination, such as batteries and electronics. Waste management is not very efficient and the city has no strategies. The results obtained show that the management and management of waste from Caucaia / CE still need to undergo some changes, mainly in relation to the destination and treatment of these, especially organic ones.
