Cyber-nationalism in China which has become more salient over the last decade is a major factor that contributes to increasing anti-Korean sentiments in China. By interviewing 20 Chinese K-Pop fans, this study explores how Chinese K-Pop fandoms display and construct their nationalism and how they negotiate their love for Korean idols and their homeland China. Once criticized as unpatriotic, K-pop fandoms declare their hated towards Korea and stay vigilant about Korean stars’ political speech to rationalize their fanship of Korean stars. This phenomenon reflects strong nationalism of Chinese fans that mediate their consumption of K-Pop.

There might be nothing more important than local identity when discussing local development or local revitalization. Especially, as a case of Shakespeare (Stratford-on-Avon) clearly underpins this statement, a human resource makes up a very large portion of local resources. Accordingly, since the autonomous local government system was launched in the mid-1990s, each region has tried to discover historical figures based on locality and established regional identity through them while utilizing related resources in order to vitalize the region. King Sejong has overwhelmed other historical figures in Korea. That is because his accomplishment has influenced a variety of fields including Hangeul (the Korean alphabet), technology, leadership, and even music in our life. Therefore, the autonomous governments which are somewhat related to Sejong strive to utilize him as a cultural resource and in festivals and events on the grounds that he was born, or his tomb is located in their region, or the umbilical cords of his descendants were buried, or Sejong once visited their region to cure his disease, or the city name takes after his name. This article examines the relation between regional identity and historical figure as a theoretical background and then does how the autonomous governments involved with Sejong are using him as cultural contents. Henceforth, we will discuss how and what Yeoju-si, which can be said to have a strong relation with Sejong, should do to improve their region.

This study analyzed the movie which is storytelling in the form of a mixture of virtual world and reality world using digital games as the central material of movies. This study analyzed how digital games interact with a person's real-world, virtual world, and the possible world to change individuals. This film deals with the discourse of game phobia in our society and reveals the murder process of a boy in a world that overlaps reality and virtual reality. The main space in the movie, Plymouth Island, is a world in a virtual reality game. On the other hand, the scene in which the boy Patrick, the developer and player of the game, appears is a story from the real world. In the real world, the boy is isolated as a victim of violence, and he lives in an unsafe environment. However, the virtual world in the game Patrick created is a world that satisfies the needs of safety, social relationships, recognition, and self-actualization. The boy kills his stepfather who threatens his survival in the virtual world and dreams of a new possible world because living in the virtual world rather than the real world is the only way to be real. The film talks that the absence of an adult who should play a role in the process of a young boy's growth and a violent environment that hinders his holistic growth is a more fundamental problem than a violent game experience. The audience will have a new perception of the game after experiencing the story world that intersects from the fictional reality of a movie to the virtual world of the game and back to reality.

Pungdo, an island fishing village located in Ansan, Gyeonggi-do, is a representative island that is undergoing population extinction. Pungdo is an island composed of stony mountains, made of pebbles and rocks, and has no beach, and fishing is not possible due to poor fishery resources. Wildflowers are outstanding from February to April, but due to the short period, tourism resources centered on wildflower enthusiasts are also poor. On the other hand, there are not many local fishermen and there are few outside tourists, so it has the advantage of less damage to resources and quietness compared to other islands. This study is based on literature research and the contents of listening to various opinions through in-depth interviews with fishermen. In addition, the strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and threats of Pungdo were analyzed through the human geography characteristics and SWOT analysis of Pungdo, and directions were presented. The sustainability of Pungdo is presented through five proposals to strengthen the fishermen's competency of Pungdo. Pungdo is a typical case of Korean island fishing villages represented by low fertility and aging population, and through this, we will analyze the case of island fishing villages and suggest alternatives and measures to make it a prosperous island fishing village with contents.
