Seowon, the lecture hall, is one of the Korean traditional heritages globally recognized. To date, lots of efforts were made to align Seowon with people’s lives, for example, foundations of related organizations or institutions, preparation of legal groundwork, continuous developments of programs, and academic researches. As a next step, it is time for Seowon to seek the ways to be with citizens’ daily lives. To do so, first, it is necessary to review the directions from cases that Seowon and cultural contents met. Hence, the cases using Seowon and connection with contents were reviewed and the directions were offered how they were connected in this article. Among related regulations, ‘the Cultural Heritage Protection Act’ and ‘the Special Act on Conservation, Management and Utilization of World Heritage’ focused on conservation and management while they stipulated somewhat comprehensively and ambiguously on their utilization. On the other hand, utilization of Seowon culture and items of program development were offered in ‘the general guideline on the conservation and management of Seowon’ which is an order of the Cultural Heritage Administration, implicating the guideline to develop the programs on Seowon as well as potential limitations. The programs using Seowon mainly focused on the education whose ratio was increasing continuously. Whereas, rituals or traditional events were significantly decreased remaining few now. This might be the outcome to apply the education actively since the share of education was significant among the demands of people who visited Seowon. Unlike this direction, connections between Seowon and cultural contents focus on interests or attractions rather than education. Productions of web-dramas contributed to raise the awareness of Seowon by high number of hits, with VR productions. The contents in YouTube channel uploaded by general video producers rather than public institutions prepared the momentum to develop viewers’ friendliness on Seowon. Considering the direction to connect between Seowon and cultural contents, it is recommended not to focus on education and rituals too much which were its original roles. Comparing the researches between with participants of existing programs on Seowon and with general citizens, the former showed the preference to education and learning while the latter showed the preference to the programs to be able to approach without any burden like exploration. The difference can be explained that the former results showed the biased perceptions and intentions from general citizens since the research subjects were the active participants. Hence, it is recommended to review whether the existing programs on Seowon focusing on education have any certain biases and to consider the directions to expand the population to enjoy Seowon in the trials to connect Seowon with the contents. In this study, the existing programs and contents on Seowon were reviewed by the cases. However, it has the

It has now been 30 years since the establishment of diplomatic ties between Korea and China, but the current relationship between Korea and China is not warm. Rather, the relationship between the two countries is deteriorating due to extreme anti-China and anti-Korea sentiments between the publics of the two countries. The two countries, as neighbors in Northeast Asia, have grown through repeated exchanges and conflicts over a long period of time due to complex intertwined interests despite similar cultural backgrounds. nowaday, after the establishment of diplomatic ties between Korea and China, Korea and China have become economically important partners as the largest trading partners, and neighbors with common tasks to cooperate for peace in Northeast Asia. The analysis of the relationship between the two countries, which occupy an important position, has been mainly done in the political and economic aspects, but here we will examine the conflict in the cultural aspect. In order to overcome this cultural conflict between the two countries, we would like to seek positive ways of cultural exchange, such as understanding different values and mutual communication, as well as identifying the conflict. Therefore, this article aims to discuss the role of cultural contents in resolving the cultural conflict between Korea and China as well as organizing the factors of the conflict between Korea and China.

Tan Dun, a representative composer of modern Chinese music, has been producing the most notable achievements in the field of Chinese film music by working on “Three Trilogy of Martial Arts” such as “Crouching tiger Hidden Dragon”, “The Heroes” and “The Banquet”. He is famous for his characteristics of actively giving traditional Chinese ideas by exquisitely converging Chinese and Western music elements. These works need to be emphasized in that they can explore strategies to communicate with the international community through Chinese culture. Tandun, who composed three film music, represents consistency in creative style in terms of composition technique, while showing some difference in specific music arrangement depending on the content and form of the film narrative. Therefore, this research focuses on the music theme design of “Crouching tiger Hidden Dragon”, “The Heroes” and “The Banquet”, which are referred to as “Musical Movie Trilogy”, analyzes and compares the film's narrative and music harmony firstly, then discusses how Western music was fused and embodied with the elements of traditional Chinese music.

Located in between Kyoto and Nara, the Joyo City is an important transportation hub, containing historical sites from the Jomon period and called City of Tumuli with over 200 ancient tombs. This city has the Joyo City Museum of History and Folklore as a local authority museum. Established and operated by local governments, local authority museums are subject to the support and interest from the local community. The main theme of the Museum of History and Folklore is ancient tomb rites, and the museum preserves and exhibits the long history and folk resources of the area. In 2016, the basic policy for the ecomuseum was established and the Joyo Ecomuseum began since then. Based on the Ohara's concept of the ecomuseum, the Joyo Ecomuseum is studied from the perspective of three important criteria: museum activities (M), on-site preservation of local natural and cultural heritage (H), and voluntary participation of local residents (P). The Joyo Ecomuseum has been developing museum activities (M) by employing the core museum, the Museum of History and Folklore, and information facilities located throughout the city. Also, local heritage is preserved (H) through various activities to discover historical, natural, industrial, and facility resources of the area that network each other as satellite museums. In addition, the participation of the locals (P) is drawn in all these activities. The way how the Museum of History and Folklore, Joyo, Japan accommodates and promotes an ecomuseum in order to encourage participation from the local community and contribute to the active life of residents has lessons to local authority museums in Korea. The case of the Joyo Ecomuseum seems to suggest the directions where the museum should head for to become a cultural center of the local community, not a museum isolated from the community.

The Netflix drama is a very successful K-drama both at home and abroad. The reasons for the success of this drama are diverse, such as universal and interesting scenarios, unique multi-casting and acting, tension-filled conflict structure in each episode, and mission-based game method. was analyzed by dividing into two types. First, with respect to playfulness, the play theories of Johan Huizinga, Hans-Georg Gadamer, and Roger Caillois were applied to figure out how it was subverted in and changed purposeless play into purposeful play. As a result of the analysis, the subverted playfulness in is first, play that violates the characteristics of play, second, distorted play space, third, simple play and complex human nature, fourth, play that is alienated and suffered, and fifth, the experience of the viewer. I was able to derive the characteristic of a play that becomes a self. Next, I looked at how the uncanny was expressed through numerous formative images, spaces, devices, colors, and play methods that appeared in . As a result, first, unfamiliarity due to changes in spatial function, second, an automaton in the Uncanny Valley, third, dangerous drawing in an inverted space, fourth, fear of elinx and dark abyss, fifth, The cruel space of Pernos, the sixth, the hierarchical discomfort of line drawing, and finally, the overturning of color and the animated space were found to be uncanny expressions in . It is hoped that this analysis of box office factors will help the development of K-drama in the future.

This study examined the case of 'Jungang-dong' in Pohang, Gyeongsangbuk-do, which is undergoing simultaneous spatial reorganization among local urban regeneration projects aiming for new goals of sustainable development and social integration. This space is a key economic, social, and cultural hub in the past, and strategic promotion and planning are underway to improve the quality of life of local people, and also to move to a creative and unique new space based on culture and art. However, although this urban regeneration policy puts regional development at the forefront, a flip side of it functions as an urban space where exclusion and alienation are prevalent. Furthermore, it is an ambivalent urban space where suppression and control to occupy space and a certain ideology is concealed. Through this, the relationship between individuals and groups in the urban space where diverse lives coexist, and the complex interests such as the change and overcoming of the subject and group responding to the political flow and the aspect of the local community managed and regulated in a fluid capitalist society. For this, this study conducted an analysis based on David Harvey's concepts of 'capital accumulation' and 'time-space compression'. In particular, textual analysis was conducted based on the status of implementation of Pohang urban policy, statements and contributions by urban regeneration policy officials and experts, resident groups and representatives, and multiple voices of local residents presented in Pohang urban regeneration newspapers.

This study aimed to understand the aspects of self-regulated learning and learning motivation of college students based on the experience of college students living in the non-face-to-face era after the COVID-19 pandemic. In-depth interviews were conducted with 9 college students using a phenomenological method to discover the meaning and essence of experience. As a result, 5 upper themes and 10 sub-themes were derived. The parent topic is as follows. 'Responsibility of discipline chosen by oneself', 'tension of others' gaze', 'advantage of being together', 'trust in effectiveness', 'advantage of online learning'. This was interpreted based on Self-Determination Thoery and Self-Determination Theory. As a result, Camstudy corresponds to behavioral control among self-regulated learning, and the initial motivation for using it shows various levels of self-determination. However, as the experience is repeated, the It was found that autonomy tended to increase more. This study is meaningful in that it provided basic data necessary for planning various contents and establishing policies to support college students' self-regulated learning.

The genre destruction of modern novels has had a positive effect on the expansion of cultural contents and the broadening of readers' imagination and understanding of literary works. Among the representative writers, Marguerite Duras is considered to have played a pioneering role. In the midst of introducing the components of the play and borrowing the expression method from the novel, the oral effect of irony is said to be multiplied. The narration method containing the expression of irony that reveals the truth in an indirect way shows the artist's wish to communicate the truth inherent behind superficial facts. The author's intention to reveal the truth hidden behind superficial facts is sometimes expressed in the author's narrative style, which contains the expression of irony that alludes the truth in a detour. In Duras' novels, we frequently encounter expressions of irony that connote semantic distances, both structurally and contextually. First of all, if we come to review it structurally, we can find the irony in Duras's work in the structure, the silence and the incomplete ending at the beginning and the end. Among Duras's works, we will analyze Le Square, which presents the intersection of a character's hope and reality, and examine the irony of its structural organization and semantic distances. Then, if we examine each sentence in detail, we can recognize the irony through the distance of meaning formulated in context. The expression of irony, in the structural composition and through the context, is one of the pathways to approach the truth that the author is trying to convey.

A hologram is described as a 'screenless display' that provides a realism and three-dimensional effect as if seeing a real object, and refers to a technology that implements a three-dimensional stereoscopic image using laser light. These holograms are currently being used in various cultural industries such as performances, exhibitions, and advertisements. In particular, pseudo-holograms such as floating techniques are mainly used in the cultural heritage exhibition field. However, pseudo-holograms can implement the same effect as holograms that show virtual 3D images in the real world, but there are still practical and technical limitations in satisfying audiences who want perfect 3D images like those seen in science fiction movies. The hologram, which is attracting attention as a future high-value-added imaging technology, can naturally reproduce real or virtual objects in a three-dimensional space as if they were real. In addition, holography technology is expected to lead the growth of the immersive content industry in the future by improving the technical limitations of the current augmented reality(AR) or virtual reality(VR). Therefore, if the current holography technology is gradually improved and supplemented with hologram screen, hologram printing, and plenoptic visualization technology, it is expected that the field of digital heritage contents and exhibitions using hologram will further develop in the future.

The purpose of this study is to discuss the functions and meanings that Ukiyoe could present to various publics. Ukiyoe is a painting that focuses on depicting reality rather than depicting the ideal world, past, and future. Based on woodblock prints, Ukiyoe pursues mass production, securing price competitiveness through low prices, depicting original desires, popularity, playfulness, and carpe diem tendencies. Just as Japanese Ukiyoe has the function of securing the positivity of painful reality, Korean genre paintings of the Joseon Dynasty also have the function of restoring the positivity of reality. While the former gained worldwide popularity and fashion and exerted an influence on Western Impressionist painters, the latter has less recognition. In the era of globalization, where cultural products with regional distinctive characteristics are competitive, Korean folklore and Japanese Ukiyoe have unique values. Therefore, it is necessary to promote active cultural exchange, increase awareness, meet the demands of tourism consumers, and revitalize the local economy by holding expositions and joint exhibition event contents in the pavilion to promote the customs of both countries by using the awareness of Ukiyoe.
