This study aimed to explore the motivations behind participation in publishing crowdfunding, specifically targeting Generation Y and Generation Z who supported the “Celtic Mythology Illustrated Project”. Thus, this study conducted Focus Group Interviews with three individuals from each generation, randomly sampled between May 1st and May 31st, 2023, to collect data. This data was then analyzed using Van Kaam's phenomenological analysis method. The results revealed that Generation Y recognize publishing crowdfunding as embodying both support and investment characteristics, agreeing on its necessity. Among the factors of self-determination, autonomy, and relatedness were found to be linked to their intrinsic motivation and intention to participate. Additionally, economic motives and the desire for social recognition appeared as their extrinsic motivations. In contrast, Generation Z perceives publishing crowdfunding as a concept characterized by support and communication, concurring with its necessity. Moreover, for Generation Z, all three sub-factors of self-determination—competence, autonomy, and relatedness—were observed in their intrinsic motivations, whereas only economic motives were identified as extrinsic motivations. This study confirmed differences in the motivations of Generation Y and Generation Z for participating in publishing crowdfunding. It also suggests that creators in the publishing field can enhance crowdfunding participation by strengthening supporters' self-determination from these generations, thereby increasing their intrinsic motivation.

This paper focuses on the idol motif used in Korean web fiction and examines the desires and implications reflected in the idol motif among the public. To achieve this, Chapter 2 analyzes idol characters as protagonists. These idol characters function as a group protagonists, and the events they experience revolve around becoming idols and competing for abilities to survive. Ultimately, this competition reveals the achievement of capital. Chapter 3 centers its analysis on fandom characters. Fandom characters exist as an anonymous collective and form a collective identity through fandom names. Within web fiction, they appear in the form of collective discourses known as “fan reactions” and function as companions in the journey to success for idols. Chapter 4, building upon the preceding analyses, examines the meaning assigned to idols as idealized heroes and symbols in Korean society. The journey of idol characters, the relationships formed with fandom characters within those events, and the deus ex machina-like presences, all contribute to presenting the romantic desires and attitudes of the public attributed to idols.

This study aims to examine the diversity of animation supply on OTT platforms using the top 50 domestic and international animated films in terms of box office success as a basis. The key findings are as follows. Firstly, subscription-based OTT services generally tend to offer only popular selected animations. On the other hand, VOD-based OTT services were found to provide most hit animations through purchasing or renting options. Subscription-based OTT services had lower content scale and diversity compared to VOD-based OTT services. Secondly, when examining the distribution by nationality, animations from three countries including Japan, the United States, and Korea accounted for 68.0%. When looking at the specific OTT platform services, Japanese, American, and Korean animations had a high supply rate across various OTT services, including Wavve Purchase (83.3%), Apple TV (75.0%), Disney Plus (100.0%), Watcha (66.7%), and Netflix (70.0%). Thirdly, when examining the distribution by genre, adventure, fantasy, and action accounted for 64.0%. When observed on specific OTT platform services, the supply rate of animations within these three genres was high on Wavve Purchase (66.7%), Apple TV (62.5%), Disney Plus (66.7%), Watcha (76.7%), and Netflix (60.0%).
从具体的 OTT 平台服务来看,日本、美国和韩国动画在各种 OTT 服务中的供应率都很高,包括 Wavve Purchase(83.3%)、Apple TV(75.0%)、Disney Plus(100.0%)、Watcha(66.7%)和 Netflix(70.0%)。第三,从类型分布来看,冒险、奇幻和动作类占 64.0%。在具体的 OTT 平台服务上观察,这三类动画在 Wavve Purchase(66.7%)、Apple TV(62.5%)、Disney Plus(66.7%)、Watcha(76.7%)和 Netflix(60.0%)上的供应率较高。

This article examines the issue of whether hybridised cultural products created in the colonial Western-centric global-local world system can retain local cultural identity and authenticity through the case of African wax. African wax, a wax-printed fabric, is a raw-dye printed cotton fabric produced in factories by European textile companies based on batik, a traditional Indonesian fabric. It is a hybrid cultural product that is neither a traditional African fabric nor produced in Africa, but has acquired the attributes of African culture through its consumption in Africa. According to the conventional view that local culture should be locally generated and produced with originality, uniqueness, and purity, it is difficult to call hybridised wax prints made in Europe during the colonial period as African local culture. Therefore, based on transcultural theory, which interprets colonial local culture from a post-Western perspective, we found that the agency, creativity, and tradition of African local culture in the consumption process transformed the Indonesian-style European wax into African wax and made the wax print an African local culture. Furthermore, we suggest that if authenticity as a commodity is based on originality and genuineness in the production process, then authenticity as a culture should be based on usability, functionality, knowledge, and spirituality in the consumption process, so that Africans as consumers can recognise the cultural products created by wax prints, just as Europeans as producers naturally accept new cultural products such as fashion shows and exhibitions that reappropriate Africanness created by Africans. African wax is an important example of how hybrid cultural products created through the dynamic process of global-local production and consumption during the colonial period can define local cultural identity and authenticity, and what it takes to become new local global cultural contents today.

This study developed a program that can help recover from depression and anxiety, which have emerged as a social problem along with the phenomenon of the COVID-19 pandemic, from a perspective of art therapy instead of using medicines. The purpose of this study is to develop a new program with simple movements, breathing exercises, and meditation that have been reorganized with a focus on Korean dance that provides aesthetic senses to help people recover from stress, depression, and anxiety, thereby providing the program as a progressive muscle relaxation therapy through concentration meditation for the public. The rhythms of Korean dance consist of breathing beats, and therefore, their beats are formed by interworking with the length of breathing. In this study, breathing exercises were appropriately applied to the movements of Korean dance movements through an active reflection of this advantage. The movements of Korean dance as a progressive muscle relaxation therapy are gentle and smooth, and thus form a phenomenon that is easily accessible by anyone. This program was intended to help people recover from their psychological stress by creating a dramatic harmony of the body and the spirit through an adequate application and reorganization of the upper body’s gently curved dance movements and the lower body’s rather static dance movements. The process of dance movement therapy via Korean dance is to learn movement techniques that participants can immerse themselves in. This process should enable them to express their immersion and perform appropriate movements even if these movements are not proficient. Dance movements have been applied to the program after being changed to a neutral status in order to allow men to participate in dance movements that used to be centered on women, and appropriate Gutgoeri rhythms for breathing exercise were also applied. This study organized a therapy program with Korean dance’s movements and sensitivity that are most suited to Koreans, which can also serve as a public health program that can relax, supplement, and cure contracted muscles and energy under the tensions of life built over a long period of life. In doing so, it intends to prevent greater stress, depression, and anxiety of the public than before and improve their abilities to resist external circumstances by strengthening their immunity. The results of this study will also be able to promote the qualitative growth of national policy programs related to the improvement of public mental health, and to develop professional dance movement therapy instructors and enhance their expertise through the utilization of a dance movement therapy program. In addition, this program will contribute to job creation for dance majors and positively influence emerging dance industries.

We have met exhibition contents about artificial intelligence in various forms. Perhaps the most common thing I have encountered is the form of an exhibition using immersive media. In this article, we look at the exhibition as an example. In addition, in the cultural exhibition about AI, which focuses the most on AI, we will examine what kind of existence AI has been recognized by humanity from the past to the present and what role it is expected to play, and by presenting the functions and examples of artificial intelligence, we can make experience and memory. When you go to an exhibition about artificial intelligence, it seems that you are looking into the technology of AI through the exhibition contents, but in reality, the exhibition contents are used as a tool to interpret the technology anew through relationships in human life. In the exhibition contents, we were able to understand that in the past, we felt unfamiliar and distant from artificial intelligence, but we have been waiting for this existence as a tool or a hero to overcome the difficulties encountered in our daily lives. And now, we were able to acknowledge the AI that accompanies us in our daily lives and confirms that we understand and look at the world through the new perspectives they present. In this way, AI is working as a medium that enables instant interaction based on data in our daily lives. And in the process, we can interact with multiple entities at the same time and predict the outcome. But problems that arise from the use of artificial intelligence will have an absolute impact on our daily lives because they cause immediate interactions. Now, beyond digital, we see that a new medium called AI has emerged and is having a direct impact on our lives. And how to understand and use it, just as Robin Williams mentioned earlier that he became friendly with robots through the movie , it is expected that cultural contents will play a bigger role than now so that AI and the public can get closer and use it correctly, and it seems that reflection and research on the relationship should continue.

Cheoram in Gangwon-do is the place where was once very active as a coal mining area in the 1970s and 1980s, but experienced a decline, suffering a crisis of being turned into an abandoned mine since the 1990s. Cheoram Villageum is very noteworthy in that it has embraced the concept of the ecomuseum among the voluntary movements of residents to revitalize the community. This can be regarded as the first acceptance and application of the ecomuseum concept in Korea. This paper investigates the whole current activities of the coal mining town of Cheoram, which has marked a very important beginning in the history of ecomuseums in Korea, starting from Cheoram Villageum. This leads to how ecomuseums earlier in Korea were introduced and how their experimental efforts had an effect on the local areas. Since the ecomuseum is a concept responsible for an important axis of local culture as it is born and grows like a living organism, it is necessary to observe the transition of change while watching it for a long time. The course of examining changes in Cheoram begun in 1998 may be a significant study in its own right. Cheoram Coal Mine History Town currently in operation is also researched and analyzed using the MACDAB index. In addition, while thinking about future improvements, it is suggested that Cheoram Coal Mine History Village establishes itself as a genuine ecomuseum and exchanges with ecomuseums around the world that started in mining towns.

Since the covid-19 pandemic, the environment for enjoying cultural heritage has changed dramatically. As a response to this, the development and distribution of digital heritage contents has become important. This study is a study on the direction of digital heritage content in the post-corona era. To this end, the changes in the form of viewing cultural heritage and the introduction of digital heritage after covid19 were reviewed, and the changes in digital heritage contents in the post-covid era were analyzed. Changes in cultural policies for the dissemination of digital heritage and the active introduction and utilization of digital technology have played a significant role in the dissemination of cultural heritage. However, one-time exhibition contents, temporary fads of specific contents or technologies, lack of the roadmap, and lack of storytelling and business model bring about the weakening of Digital Heritage's competitiveness. In order to overcome this, it is necessary to develop a platform that can share basic data for storytelling that understands the intrinsic value of cultural heritage, development of digital heritage contents for the underprivileged, and production of cultural heritage contents. This will help develop and spread the digital heritage field. High-quality digital heritage can inspire the selection of materials for other cultural contents such as movies, dramas, animations, and games, and can greatly help popularize cultural heritage, develop related industries, and nurture professional human resources.

In this paper, we will first examine the intelligence theory, which is the basis of the cultural intelligence theory. Research on the theory of human intelligence, which began with IQ, has expanded and deepened the scope and depth of research over time, exploring the essence of intelligence. The cultural intelligence theory borrows these intelligence research contents and systems, and we want to find out about them. In particular, we would like to pay attention to the importance of acquired factors for intelligence that the intelligence theory tells us. The theory of cultural intelligence as a human intelligence necessary in the context of cultural diversity considers the problem of prejudice as an obstacle important. Therefore, we will examine the categorization process that humans learn while growing up and the category bias resulting from it. Next, we will examine texts and media that directly or indirectly affect category bias. We would like to think about how texts represented by nouns and media represented by images can reinforce prejudices and stereotypes. Lastly, we analyzed the psychological research achievements that have been made in relation to human bias. More than one hundred theories have been accumulated as a result of long time research. Among them, theories that are judged to be very important in relation to the theory of cultural intelligence have been selected and examined, and the prejudice in the form of emphasizing the human individual and the form of prejudice that occurs between groups are classified and considered.
