Selective study of elimination of Cd (II) and Pb (II) from aqueous solution by novel hybrid material 新型杂化材料选择性去除水溶液中Cd (II)和Pb (II)的研究

ABSTRACTThis work is focused on the selectivity of the elimination of cadmium (II) and lead (II) by novel hybrid material which has been synthesized and characterized previously (Zn/Al-DDPA). This study has obliged us to highlight the effect of equilibrium time, effect of concentration of pollutants, effect of the amount of the adsorbent and the effect of adding salts. Thermodynamic study confirms that the adsorption process is exothermic and spontaneous process with a disorder between the two phases and that the adsorbent is reusable after three steps of desorption. The best extraction yield for this study is more than 70% for cadmium (II).

Shape memory interpenetrating network hybrids of epoxy/poly(urea-amide) and organic nanoparticle 环氧树脂/聚脲酰胺与有机纳米颗粒的形状记忆互穿网络

ABSTRACTIn this study, a novel poly(urea-amide) (PUA) was designed and blended with N,N-diglycidyl-4-glycidyloxyaniline (DGOA) epoxy. Moreover, an original approach was adopted for the formation of organic nanoparticle (NP) using resorcinol and cetyltrimethylammonium bromide. Functional nanoparticle (1–10 wt.%) was reinforced in PUA and DGOA/PUA blend and structure, morphology, and mechanical properties of neat PUA, blend and hybrids were reported. According to gel permeation chromatography analysis, molecular weight of PUA was found to decrease with nanoparticle addition. Field emission scanning electron microscopy micrographs of DGOA/PUA/NP hybrids revealed self-assembled interpenetrating network (IPN) morphology due to fine compatibility between the blend components and functional nanoparticle. The self-assembled IPNs were in turn responsible for higher mechanical properties of DGOA/PUA blend and hybrids. Weld ability of dissimilar material of 304 stainless steel and polyethylene terephthalate 304不锈钢与聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯异种材料的焊接性能

ABSTRACTGas tungsten arc welding was used to join dissimilar materials: 2-mm-thick plate of 304 stainless steel and 1.5-mm-thick polyethylene terephthalate (PET) plastic sheet. The joints of 30 mm in width possessed strong tensile shear loads of approximately 2.1 kN at the maximum and the tensile strength is 47.6 Mpa, which is almost the similar to shear load and tensile strength of the pure PET (the strength of PET is about 45 Mpa). The effect of main process parameters on the joint strength was investigated through experiments. It is found that appropriate amount of small bubbles is helpful to improve the strength of the joint. The infrared spectra analysis and energy-dispersive spectrometer results of the joints demonstrated that 304 and PET were bonded together through the reaction of carbonyl and metallic element in the joint, which lead to the, the chemical bond formation and the resulted in significantly improved joint strength.

ABSTRACTThe concentration fluctuations in long wavelength limit and thermodynamic properties, i.e. free energy of mixing, heat of mixing, entropy of mixing and activity of the components involved in the Zn-Sn binary liquid alloy at a specified temperature, have been investigated using a familiar formalism in which the combined effect of size ratio, entropic and enthalpic effect is considered. These properties of Zn-Sn liquid alloys at 750 K have been computed by estimating the best fit value of order energy parameter (W) and size ratio () in the entire range of concentration in order to match their experimental and theoretical values. This value of W has been used to determine the values of W at different temperatures with the help of temperature derivative of W which are then used for the optimization procedure in order to calculate the corresponding values of excess free energy of mixing, partial excess free energy of mixing and activity of the components involved in the alloy at different temperatures....

Preparation and characterization of high dielectric calcium titanate -poly(methylmethacrylate) composite films 高介电钛酸钙-聚甲基丙烯酸甲酯复合薄膜的制备与表征

ABSTRACTIn this study, calcium titanate (CaTiO3; CTO)/poly (methylmethacrylate) (PMMA) composite films were synthesized by methylmethacrylate through ultrasonic dispersion via in-situ polymerization. X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy and thermogravimetric analysis study were carried out to characterize the samples. The dielectric and electrical properties of the composite films were studied in detail through impedance analyzer. The results showed that the dielectric constant of the composite increased with an increase in the weight percentages of CTO contents at entire frequency range under investigation. The value of dielectric constant of the resultant composite was nearly ≈51 at 100 Hz, while the value of dielectric loss was quite low (<1), which may be attributed to space charge polarization mechanism. In addition, the maximum electrical conductivity (1.0116 × 10−6 S/cm−1) was achieved for 30 wt.% of CTO-PMMA composites which may be due to the ele...

ABSTRACTIn this attempt, novel polyurethane (PU) was prepared and blended with polyamide 1010 (PA1010). Based on morphology, molecular weight, polydispersity index, thermal, and shear stress behavior, PA1010/PU (80:20) blend was opted as matrix material for graphene nanoplatelet (GNP) reinforcement. PA1010/PU/GNP nanocomposites were prepared using various GNP loadings (1–5 wt.%). According to scanning electron microscopy (SEM), PA1010/PU blend with 5 wt.% PU revealed better compatibility. Inclusion of functional GNP resulted in formation of speckled morphology due to physical interaction between nanofiller and the matrix. In the case of PA1010/PU/GNP 3 nanocomposite, T0 (532 oC) was much higher than the unfilled blend (389 oC). Similarly, other thermal properties (T10 565 oC; Tmax 599 oC) of PA1010/PU/GNP 3 nanocomposite were significantly higher than the blends and nanocomposites. Silica-coated nickel oxide a core-shell nanostructure: synthesis, characterization and its catalytic property in one-pot synthesis of malononitrile derivative 二氧化硅包覆氧化镍核壳纳米结构:合成、表征及其一锅合成丙二腈衍生物的催化性能

ABSTRACTWe describe herein a unique approach to fabricate the silica-coated nickel oxide a core-shell nanostructure by using a different concentration of surfactant and characterized in terms of shape, size, and phase structure by means of various standard spectroscopic techniques like powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and atomic force microscopy (AFM), while chemical composition identified by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), UV–visible, and thermogravimetry/differential thermal analysis (TG/DTA). The effects of surfactant were authenticated in synthesis of nickel oxide nanoparticles. Furthermore, a simple and straightforward method was employed to synthesis of 2‐oxoindolin‐3‐ylidene malononitrile and their derivatives through Knoevenagel condensation in solvent-free condition using nanoparticle as a nanocatalyst. ABSTRACTThe basic ionic liquid 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium hydroxide, i.e. [BMIM][OH], proficiently catalyzed Stobbe condensation in solvent-free condition. An extensive range of aromatic aldehydes simply undergo condensations with methyl-β-benzoyl propionate. The reactions proceed at room temperature and are very fast (10 min). However, the most crucial feature of this methodology is the solvent-free approach and applying grindstone technique for condensation, which is generally not possible by any other conventional reagents and was not addressed adequately in literature providing a general and convenient procedure. The potential application of [BMIM][OH] in organic synthesis is increasing rapidly due to its high yields of the desired products (80%–92%), minimal reaction time, reaction simplicity, and low-cost chemicals. All novel compounds of β-arylidene-β-benzoylpropionic acid derivatives were characterized by IR, 1H NMR, and mass spectra.
