Optimizing Inventory Carrying Cost Using Rank Order Clustering Approach for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMES) 基于秩序聚类方法的中小企业库存持有成本优化

For any company, whether big enterprises or small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), inventory is one of the key assets. Therefore, inventory-related decisions directly influence the revenue generated by the firm. This work aims to find a sufficient degree of control over each inventory item and to mitigate the inventory management problems of SMEs. Rank Order Clustering (ROC) algorithm is used in this study for multi-item inventory item aggregation. The proposed framework is tested on a medium-sized gearmanufacturing firm that manufactures 40 different types of planetary and customized gear-boxes. The results demonstrate 47.64 % of cost-saving through the proposed methodology of cluster formation using ROC and quantity discounts. This approach helps to identify different assemblies to aggregate the component requirements and to formulate a particular inventory strategy to minimize inventory carrying costs for each component.

SSSC to control Power flow in the Line SSSC控制线路中的功率流

FACTS controller is the Power Electronics based static controller which enhance power transfer capability and increase controllability of the power system network. Static Synchronous Series Compensator (SSSC) is VSC based controller which is used in transmission network with the aim of utilization of existing line upto its fullest extent. This paper demonstrates transmission line power flow control with the help of SSSC. A control scheme of SSSC is presented to control active power flow in the line. Increase in the power flow in the line is realized with SSSC operation in capacitive mode of operation and decrease in the power flow is realized with SSSC operated in inductive mode of operation. MATLAB simulation studies are demonstrated to validate the SSSC operation.

Survey and Analysis on Machine Learning Approaches for Image Annotation 图像标注的机器学习方法综述与分析

In current years, a large amount of image data is being collected worldwide, which is majorly generated by corporate organizations, health industry and social networking sites. With the strength of substantial level depiction of images, Annotating image has numerous applications not only in image understanding and analysis but also in some of the concern domain like medical research, rural and urban management. Automatic Image Annotation (AIA) has been raised since the late 1990s due to inherent weaknesses of manual image annotation. In this paper, a deep review of the most recent stage in the development of AIA methods is presented by synthesizing 32 literatures published during the past decades. We classify AIA methods into five categories: 1) Kernel Logistic Regression (KLR), 2) Tri-relational Graph (TG), 3) Semantically Regularised CNNRNN (S-CNN-RNN), 4) Label Correlation guided Deep Multi-view (LCDM), and 5) Multi-Modal Semantic Hash Learning (MMSHL). Considering inspiration on the basis of main idea, framework of model, complexity of computation, time complexity and accuracy in annotation Comparative analysis for various AIA methods are done.

A Modified Rectangular Mid-band Microstrip Slot Antenna for WLAN, WiFi and 5G Applications 一种用于WLAN、WiFi和5G应用的改进矩形中频微带槽天线

A modified rectangular Microstrip slot antenna for numerous applications like WLAN, Wi-Fi 5, satellite telecommunication and 5G application is portrayed. The proposed antenna has dimension of 25×30×1.6 mm. The structure consists of partial ground and DGS. The proposed design is embedded on FR4 lossy substrate having dielectric constant of 4.3 and thickness of 1.6 mm. Two similar inverted L shape CLLR are introduced at left and right edge of the ground plane to improve current distribution and to achieve wide bandwidth. The results like reflection coefficient, surface current, gain, directivity, VSWR, impedance and radiation pattern are found up to the mark.

A Map Reduce Based Parallel Algorithm 一种基于Map Reduce的并行算法

In Today’s world, Big Data became a vital role in our way of life. Growing rapidly and logical algorithms that will handle large datasets becoming a challenging task. This paper aim is to explain the HadoopMap Reduce Framework with Association rule Mining. One of the famous algorithm of ARM is that the Apriori algorithm, which is implemented in MapReduce artificial language, which is executed on the Hadoop framework. These rules are tradition to observe facts that always occur along with datasets. Using association rule, an issue arises when data becomes enormous. To beat this situation they used Hadoop. This paper provides an outline of the Hadoop – MapReduce framework. Our big challenge of this paper are to resolve the matter of scalability, apart from the other problems are execution time and communication overhead. This paper will solve the matter of reliable, scalable and distributed computing. Keywords—Data Mining, Association Rule Mining, Apriori Algorithm, Big Data, Hadoop, MapReduce

Gestures Identification for Myoelectric Based Control of the Robotic Arm 基于肌电控制的机械臂手势识别

Human robot interaction have been ever the topic of research to research scholars owing to its importance to help humanity. Robust human interacting robot where commands from Electromyogram (EMG) signals is recently being investigated. This article involves study of motions a system that allows signals recorded directly from a human body and thereafter can be used for control of a small robotic arm. The various gestures are recognized by placing the electrodes or sensors on the human hand. These gestures are then identified by using neural network. The neural network will thus train the signals. The offline control of the arm is done by controlling the motors of the robotic arm.

Sustainable development of the country is possible by adapting various energy conservation measures. Energy conservation helps in using energy in effectivemanner. Application of advanced technology and improved operation and maintenance practices contributes towards energy conservation. Smart streetlight framework is an essential piece of the smart city, which represents 1040% aggregate power utilization in the city. In this paper the energy audit report is presented for streetlights in the industry and also presented various energy conservation measures with the help of sensors and automation. It was observed that Passive Infra-red (PIR) sensor helps a lot in saving energy where movement of people is low.

Developing the Rural Economy Structure in Agriculture Towards the Betterment of India’s Economy 发展农业农村经济结构,促进印度经济发展

India is primarily a rural region, with more than half of the country’s population and 70 percent of the work force living in rural areas. Approximately 46 percent of national income depends on rural income making it one of the highest contributors of the national economy. Urbanization of inhabitants of rural sector though increasing on an average, it is projected that around 2050 more than half of the national population will be living in rural sectors. Urbanization thus not only affects the economy of the rural sector but, also leaves illiterate farmers back in the village with no manpower and a lot of area. Thus, growth and development of rural economy and population are one of the key factors, to overall growth and comprehensive development of the country. This paper makes an attempt as an assessment in proposing a solution developing a web-based solution for the farmers to find man-power, experts and potential investors for their land. The solution proposed will have different modules to help farmers in every way possible from finding an investor to helping them sell their harvest online to finding man-power their lands. Approximately 46 percent of national income depends on rural income making it one of the highest contributors of the national economy. Urbanization of inhabitants of rural sector though increasing on an average, it is projected that around 2050 more than half of the national population will be living in rural sectors. Urbanization thus not only affects the economy of the rural sector but, also leaves illiterate farmers back in the village with no manpower and a lot of area. Thus, growth and development of rural economy and population are one of the key factors, to overall growth and comprehensive development of the country. This paper makes an attempt as an assessment in proposing a solution developing a web-based solution for the farmers to find man-power, experts and potential investors for their land. The solution proposed will have different modules to help farmers in every way possible from finding an investor to helping them sell their harvest online to finding man-power their lands. Promoting Children Potential and Social Abilities: A Qualitative Study of Nursery Assessment Practices in Malaysia 促进儿童潜能和社会能力:马来西亚幼儿园评估实践的定性研究

This study aims toidentify the frequency of assessments at TASKA (nursery) centres and how the assessments are conducted. The study involves 20 teachers from TASKA (nurseries) who conduct early education programs for children aged birth to 4 years old. In-depth interviews were conducted with the teachers based on instruments from the early childhood care and education (ECCE) Research Project which included two main standards, an element of children’s learning and assessment. There are various frequencies of each assessments for each TASKA such as two times a year; three times a year; every three months, monthly, weekly and daily. The frequencies of assessment are depending on the TASKA needs such as a reporting to other teachers when they progress. The result also shows that the observation conducted with checklist, anecdotal record, running records and portfolio. Observation records as mentioned by the teachers to monitor children development and to show the quality of the TASKA. In conclusion, the frequency of observation gives benefit to the children and for teachers’ preparation and future plan for the program. The continuation of child observations carried out by parents or guardians at home can help identify the child's development more accurately. Undergraduates’ Interest Towards Learning Genetics Concepts Through Integrated Stemproblem Based Learning Approach 大学生通过基于系统问题的综合学习方法学习遗传学概念的兴趣

Scientific and innovative society can be produced by giving priorities in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) as emphasized by Malaysian Higher Education Blueprint (2015-2025). STEM need to be implemented at higher education because universities need to produce competent graduates to support economy growth and sustainable development. Learning STEM through Problem Based Learning might allow the undergraduates to become more enthusiastic when problem-based instruction is incorporated with STEM by implementing teamwork and problemsolving techniques to engage the first-year undergraduates fully with the learning. This study was conducted to investigate whether Integrated STEM Problem Based Learning Module could enhance and retain the interest towards genetics concepts among first-year undergraduates. Topics in genetics was considered difficult not only to teach but also to learn. In this research, to overcome the genetic concepts learning difficulties, genetic related topics were chosen to introduce STEM through problem-based learning approach, which might help first-year undergraduates to acquire deep genetic content knowledge. This is very vital for the first-year undergraduates, as the knowledge gained in their first semester will be applied in the upcoming courses in their entire undergraduates’ programs of study. A Pre-Experimental research design with one group-posttest design was applied. A total of 50 participants who are first-year undergraduates from Faculty of Biology from one of the public universities in Malaysia were involved. The Genetics Interest Questionnaire used to study if the STEM Problem Based Learning Module could enhance and retain the interest towards genetics concepts. The research has proven that Integrated STEM through problem-based learning approach could enhance and retains the interest in learning genetics concepts among first-yearundergraduates.
