Based on the dynamic view, our paper seeks to explore the impact of big data analytics usage (BDA) on the value creation in the supply chain management field. It also explores the moderating role of market turbulence on the relationships between the study factors. We gathered data from supply chain managers in the Egyptian context. We managed to gather data from 489 participants and the data were analyzed through structural equation modelling to test our proposed hypotheses. The analysis revealed that BDA has a significant and positive effect on asset productivity and business growth. Our study also indicated that the links among BDA, asset productivity, and business growth were moderated by market turbulence. Our examination offers meaningful insights for manager to understand the significant impact of BDA on value creation in the supply chain management context.

Purpose – This study focuses on social media influencers ’ characteristics to assess their impact on customer s’ purchase intention. Thus, it aimed to investigate the impact of social media influencers’ Physical appearance (Attractiveness), Trustworthiness (honesty), and Expertise on consumers’ purchase intention. Design/methodology/approach – The questionnaire was created and shared online via Google Forms to the consumers in Egypt. The online survey covered the four social media platforms; YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. A quota sampling technique was used in the study to obtain responses, as only those respondents who were active users of social media were included in the study. 130 responses were obtained, of which 125 respondents followed a social media influencer, so only 5 were excluded. Findings – The findings revealed that the personal characteristics of social media influencers affect consumers’ purchase intention ; Attractiveness, trustworthiness, and expertise had significant direct effects on consumers' purchase intention. Besides, the results revealed that the most important factor influencing customer purchase intention is the attractiveness of the influencer, while the lowest impact was for expertise of the influencers. Originality/value – Although there are many previous studies done in other countries regarding the impact of Social Media Influencers on Customers’ Buying Intension , there are very few similar studies in Egypt and most of these studies were testing the impact of the influencers’ message content not the characteristics of the influencer and a study of (Fayez, Labib, & Abo El-Naga, 2022) included the influencer characteristics but without testing and recommended further testing in Egypt. So, the findings of this study add to the current literature by filling this gap and explaining the role of the influencer’s characteristics in affecting the purchase intention of consumers in the Egyptian market.

This research paper aims to estimate the effect of political risks on Egyptian insurance companies’ investment returns over the period 2009 – 2021 which consist of a variety of events having influences on different areas of businesses and accordingly on insurance companies' investment returns. We found that insurance companies' investment returns are affected negatively, significantly by control of corruption which reflect events happened in Egypt from unjustifiable election, revolution, and terrorism but positively affected by the regulatory quality and deficit/surplus in insurance operations showing robust evidence on the cohesiveness of Egyptian laws and its significant role in reducing insurance companies’ exposure towards political risks. We recommend, on the macro-level, that the government should stress on supporting the rule of law which might mitigate the negative influence of political risks and on the micro-level, we recommend companies to justify their operations especially risk rating and reinsurance to cope with different economic and political changes.
