Uji Aktivitas Antibakteri Fraksi n-Heksan, Kloroform, Etil Asetat Rimpang Bangle (Zingiber casumounar Roxb.) terhadap Staphylococcus aureus 对葡萄球菌菌活性测试n-Heksan,氯仿,醋酸盐根茎Bangle (Zingiber casumounar Roxb)对葡萄球菌aureus

Zingiber casumounar Roxb. sering dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat sebagai obat tradisonal untuk pengobatan reumatik dan peradangan pada tenggorokan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui aktivitas antibakteri pada fraksi n-heksan, kloroform dan etil asetat dari rimpang bangle terhadap Staphylococcus aureus. Pada penelitian dilakukan pengujian aktivitas antibakteri terhadap fraksi n-heksan, kloroform dan etil asetat dari rimpang Z. casumounar Roxb. terhadap S. aureus dengan metode difusi. Fraksi diperoleh dari hasil partisi cair cair ekstrak etanol 96% Z. casumounar Roxb. menggunakan n-heksan, kloroform dan etil asetat. Hasil uji aktivitas antibakteri dari ketiga fraksi menunjukkan adanya kemampuan untuk menghambat pertumbuhan S. aureus. Aktivitas antibakteri menunjukkan zona hambat yang berbeda yaitu dengan nilai rata-rata pada ekstrak kasar 8,59±0,4 mm, sedangkan ekstrak fraksi n-heksan 11,67±1,0 mm, fraksi kloroform 11,39±0,6 mm dan fraksi etil asetat 13,21±0,3 mm. Fraksi etil asetat memiliki aktivitas antibakteri paling tinggi dengan melihat luas zona hambatnya.

Knowledge Level with Self-Management and Compliance with Diabetes Mellitus Drug Use in Gading Clinic, Yogyakarta 日惹市加丁诊所糖尿病患者自我管理知识水平及用药依从性

Diabetes mellitus is a global disease. This study aimed to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and accuracy of diabetes mellitus drug use and the relationship between the level of knowledge and adherence to diabetes mellitus drug use at the Gading Clinic Yogyakarta. This study was observational. Participants were typed 2 diabetes mellitus patients in the JKN referral program at the Gading Yogyakarta Clinic. Data were collected through questionnaires on knowledge related to diabetes mellitus, accuracy, and adherence. Data analysis was performed using the SPSS program with the chisquare test. The results showed a correlation between knowledge and self-management (p = 0.007), while no correlation was found between knowledge and medication adherence (p = 0.734). Based on these results, there was a correlation between diabetes mellitus knowledge and self-management in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus at the Gading Clinic in Yogyakarta.

Aktivitas Antimikroba Sabun Antiseptik Bunga Eceng Gondok (Eichhornia crassipes) dengan Basis Minyak Jelantah 艾角耐菌香皂与Jelantah油基的抗菌活性

Bunga Eceng gondok (Eichhornia crassipes) mengandung fenol, flavonoid, alkaloid, tannin, terpenoid, sterol dan glikosida yang mempunyai aktivitas antibakteri dan berpotensi diformulasi menjadi sabun antisptik. Minyak jelantah yang telah dimurnikan menggunakan kulit pisang kepok berpotensi sebagai bahan pembuatan sabun. Tujuan untuk mengetahui metode pengolahan minyak jelantah, formulasi dan uji aktivitas antimikroba sediaan sabun antiseptik ekstrak air bunga eceng gondok dengan memanfaatakan minyak jelantah. Metode yaitu quasi eksperimen laboratorium yakni sabun antiseptic diformulasi berdasarkan tiga konsentrasi infusa bunga eceng gondok, Formula A (10%); B (15%) dan C (20%). Evaluasi sediaan berupa fisik dan kimia, uji iritasi dan uji aktivitas antibakteri. Hasil pemurnian minyak jelantah yaitu minyak yang jernih dan tidak kental. Ekstrak air bunga eceng gondok dapat diformulasi menjadi sabun antiseptik dengan tinggi busa rata-rata 1,5 cm, daya bersih pada kriteria 3 (kesat), pH pada rentang 9-10, kadar air >15%, kadar alkali bebas 0,6-1,3 % dan tidak menunjukkan iritasi. Sabun antiseptik ekstrak air bunga eceng gondok memiliki aktivitas antibakteri terhadap E.coli kategori kuat berdasarkan diameter hambatannya, yakni Formula A (19,17 mm), B (20,01 mm) dan C (20,13 mm). Kesimpulannya ekstrak air bunga eceng gondok dan minyak jelantah dapat menjadi alternative pemanfaatan limbah menjadi sediaan sabun antiseptik yang memiliki aktivitas antimikroba.

Perkembangan kasus infeksi dan penggunaan antibiotik yang kurang tepat menimbulkan kasus resistensi antibiotik. Alternatif dalam mengatasi banyaknya antibiotik yang sudah resisten bakteri, yaitu dengan penemuan antibiotik baru. Proses penemuan antibiotik salah satunya dari mikroorganisme, yaitu dari bakteri. Proses eksplorasi penemuan antibiotik tersebut menggunakan pendekatan fase pertumbuhan bakteri, yaitu fase stasioner dimana bakteri memproduksi metabolit sekunder, salah satunya adalah senyawa antibiotik. Isolat Te.325 merupakan bakteri penghasil antibiotik tetapi belum diketahui fase pertumbuhannya yang dapat digunakan untuk melakukan pendekatan proses perolehan antibiotik. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendapatkan waktu fase pertumbuhan isolat Te.325 dan melakukan ekstraksi senyawa antibiotik dari isolat tersebut. Penentuan kurva pertumbuhan yaitu berdasarkan berat biomassa sel dan nilai absorbansi pada spektrofotometri UV/ Vis dari kultur yang disampling setiap hari selama 14 hari waktu inkubasi kultur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan fase log/eksponensial pada hari ke-5 dan fase stasioner pada hari ke-9. Aktivitas antibakteri ekstrak etil asetat dilakukan pengujian menggunakan metode sumuran dengan konsentrasi ekstrak 40% yang menghasilkan rata-rata diameter zona hambat sebesar 8,04 mm terhadap bakteri uji Staphylococcus aureus dan 9,035 mm pada Escherichia coli. Ekstrak etilasetat Te.325 tergolong dalam potensi sedang.

Physical Stability Test and Determination of Total Flavonoid Content of Watermelon (Citrullus lanatus) Fruit Mesocarp Extract Gel Preparation 西瓜果实中果皮提取物凝胶制剂的物理稳定性试验及总黄酮含量测定

The content of flavonoids in the white skin or mesocarp of watermelon has antioxidant power so that the active substance can be used in the manufacture of cosmetics, one of which is a gel dosage form. This type of research is observational with a descriptive research design. The purpose of this study was to obtain data on the stability of the watermelon (Citrullus lanatus) mesocarp extract gel preparation using the cycling test method. Physical stability evaluations were carried out, including organoleptic, homogeneity, pH, adhesion, spreadability, and viscosity. The results showed that the organoleptic observation of the preparation was in the form of a semi-solid, had a characteristic aromatic odor of the extract, and had a brownish-yellow color. As for the test results for the entire homogeneous cycle, the average pH range is 4.75 - 5, adhesion is 2.45 - 3.96 seconds, dispersion is 5.59 - 6.67 cm, and viscosity is 5426 - 6830 cps, and total flavonoid content of the gel preparation was 5.27%. This study concluded that the gel preparation was physically stable before and after 12 days of storage and contained 5.27% flavonoids.

Nanotechnology has been developing in the medical field, but some nanoparticles have toxic effects on the body, including the spleen. This scoping review represents an attempt to take stock of existing research results related to the presence or absence of toxicity to the spleen caused by nanoparticles involving experimental animals. A scoping review was conducted to synthesize and map the toxicity of nanoparticles. It has been searched on PubMed databases for spleen or lien and toxic or toxicity, and nanoparticles or dendrimers or "metal nanoparticles" or “magnetite nanoparticles” or nanoshells or “multifunctional nanoparticles” or nanocapsules or nanoconjugates or nanodiamonds or nanogels or nanospheres. Seventeen studies met our inclusion criteria. In conclusion, it showed that 13 nanoparticles could cause toxicity in rodent spleen and as many as 4 nanoparticles did not cause toxicity in rodent spleen.

Panduan klinik merekomendasikan antibiotik profilaksis dosis tunggal 30-60 menit sebelum bedah sesar, tetapi praktek di rumah sakit menunjukkan deviasi dalam implementasinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis efektivitas biaya penggunaan antibiotik profilaksis dosis tunggal versus dosis berulang pada bedah sesar. Penelitian retrospektif observasional dengan desain potong lintang melibatkan subyek penelitian wanita hamil yang menjalani bedah sesar yang menerima seftriakson dosis tunggal sebelum pembedahan (kelompok 1) ataupun yang mendapatkan seftriakson sebelum pembedahan dan diperpanjang selama perawatan (kelompok 2). Biaya yang digunakan adalah biaya medis langsung perspektif rumah sakit dan parameter efektivitas kejadian infeksi daerah operasi (IDO). Uji Chi-Square digunakan untuk membandingkan IDO antara kedua kelompok. Sejumlah 806 pasien (kelompok 1) dan 250 pasien (kelompok 2) memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Analisis biaya total tidak menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan (sekitar Rp 13.000.000/pasien) antara kedua kelompok, tetapi analisis komponen biaya menunjukkan biaya antibiotik pasien dengan dosis berulang signifikan lebih mahal (p=0,000). Anti-Acne Activity of Turi Leaves (Sesbania grandiflora (L.) Poir.) against Propionibacterium acne 大樱叶抗痤疮活性研究抗丙酸杆菌痤疮

Turi (Sesbania grandiflora (L.) Poir.) is a native Indonesian plant with many benefits. One of the benefits of Turi leaves is that they can be used as antibacterial agents. Turi leaves contain several compounds with antibacterial bioactivity including tannins, flavonoids, and saponins. This study aimed to examine the activity of Turi leaf extracts against Propionibacterium acne, a bacterium that causes acne. Antibacterial activity testing was performed using the good diffusion method with three replicates. The test groups were X1, X2, and X3, which had extract concentrations of 5%, 7.5%, and 10%, respectively. The positive control group was treated with clindamycin disks. The results of measurements of the diameter of the inhibition zone showed that the mean for groups X1, X2, and X3 were 19.67 mm, 22 mm, and 23.67 mm, respectively. The positive control group was 37 mm. Based on the classifi cation of bacterial growth inhibition responses, the results of the inhibition zone diameter after deducting the good diameter × 10 mm were classifi ed as less eff ective for group X1 and weak for groups X2 and X3. The positive control group was classifi ed as strong. This study concluded that the antiacne activity of Turi leaf extracts at a concentration of less than 10% was weak when compared to the positive control.

Gel hand sanitizer merupakan sediaan hand sanitizer yang praktis untuk digunakan. Penggunaan hand sanitizer secara berulang dengan antiseptik kimia dapat menyebabkan iritasi dan kulit kering, sehingga antiseptik alami dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut. Akar kuning mengandung alkaloid berberin, flavonoid, saponin, dan terpenoid yang memiliki sifat antibakteri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan gel hand sanitizer akar kuning dengan variasi gelling agent. Evaluasi formula meliputi organoleptik, homogenitas, pH, viskositas, daya sebar, daya lekat, uji hedonik, dan uji stabilitas freeze-thaw. Efektivitas sediaan gel diukur menggunakan metode replika. Hasil skrining fitokimia menunjukkan ekstrak etanol akar kuning mengandung alkaloid, flavonoid, tanin, saponin, dan terpenoid. Berdasarkan analisis ANOVA (sig < 0,05), terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada karakteristik gel hand sanitizer. In Vivo Incision Wound Healing Studies using Ethanolic Cinnamon’s (Cinnamomum burmannii) Leaves Extract in White Male Rats 乙醇肉桂(Cinnamomum burmannii)叶提取物在白色雄性大鼠体内切口伤口愈合的研究

Cinnamon leaves are traditional plants that contain secondary metabolites such as flavonoids, tannins, saponins, alkaloids, and phenols. All of these compounds play an essential role in the wound healing process. This study aimed to determine the effects of cinnamon (Cinnamomum burmannii) on incision wound healing in male rats. The research method used a post-test only control group design approach that uses five treatment groups: positive control (Bioplacenton® Gel), negative control (Vaseline flavum), and ethanol extract of cinnamon leaves at concentrations of 10%, 20%, and 30%. The results showed that the ethanol extract of cinnamon leaves affected wound healing, as observed from the day of wound healing, the AUC length of the wound, and levels of hydroxyproline. The statistical test results showed a significant difference between the groups (p<0.05), where the best concentration was 30%, followed by 20% and 10%. Therefore, we concluded that the ethanolic extract of cinnamon leaves can heal wounds in male rats.

The statistical test results showed a significant difference between the groups (p<0.05), where the best concentration was 30%, followed by 20% and 10%.
