Twenty Pasundan heifers were used in this study to determine the economic estimation of Pasundan cattle induced with prostaglandins and gonadotropin-releasing hormones. The cows were randomly divided into two groups of 10 each. The first group came from breeders who are members of the Rundayan Sawargi Group, Karya Mukti Village, Cibalong District, Garut Regency and the second group of cows came from the Mekar Tani 2 Livestock Group, having their address at Singasari Village, Jonggol District, Bogor Regency. All cows were injected with prostaglandins (PGF2α, dinoprost tromethamine) with a dose of 5 ml/head intramuscularly 2 (two) times with an interval of 11 days, and on the 9th day was injected with gonadotropin realizing hormone (GnRH, gonadorelin) of 2.5 ml/head intramuscularly. Cows in heat were artificially inseminated 2x with an interval of 6 hours. The variables observed were the percentage of birth rate, childbirth weight and body weight gain up to 120 days of age, percentage of calf mortality to 120 days of age, profit, and B/C ratio. The data were processed by analysis of variance and used descriptive methods. The results showed that cows in the Garut region had an average calving rate (birth rate) of 90%, birth weight of calves 21.51 ± 0.71 kg, body weight gain 0.60 ± 0.5 kg/head/day, mortality 0%, profit Rp. 26,495,000, - and B / C ratio 1.1. better than the Bogor area with a birth rate of 87.5%. Birth weight 19.95 ± 2.02 kg, body weight gained 0.55 ± 0.5 kg/head/day, mortality 0%, Profit Rp. 12,120,000, -and B / C ratio 0.51. It was concluded that the economic estimation of Pasundan cattle induced with prostaglandins and gonadotropin hormones in the Garut area is better than the Bogor area, with an increase in income of 218.23% per 13 months. The CSN1S1 gene is expressed as the milk alpha S1 casein which is valuable for cheese making. Allele E is a mutation of this gene, which is correlated with low quantity of expressed protein. This study aimed to identify the occurrence of CSN1S1 E allele on the Saanen population at BBPTU-HPT Baturraden. Blood samples of 45 does were drawn, followed by DNA isolation using the column spin method. The identification of E allele was carried out by Allele Specific Polymerase Chain Reactions (AS-PCR) with forward primer 5-TCAGGAGCAGTGGGTATGTG-3 and reverse 5-CCTCCCAATGGAATAATGACA-3. Allele E was found as heterozygote genotype with non-E allele in 28 out of 45 samples. This means that F allele frequency was 0.31 and 0.6 for non-E allele. There was no significant difference of milk protein in both groups. In summary, E allele was found in the Saanen goat population in BBPTU HPT Baturraden with no effect on milk protein production. Keywords: Saanen, CSN1S1, milk, goats, protein.

One of the deadliest infectious diseases in the world is Tuberculosis. The disease is caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis and causes health problems around the world. Tuberculosis has spread globally. This study used various sources of information from Indonesia Government Agencies. Tuberculosis data was obtained from South Konawe Public Health Office in the period from 2018 to 2020. The data is an annual report published by the South Konawe Public Health Office. Cases tend to increase in men other than women. Men are mostly susceptible to pulmonary TB risk factors. The cure rates percentage for TB patients in South Konawe Regency varies every year, such as in the year 2020 it became very low. The high number of TB patients is in Ranomeeto and Benua sub-districts. Cases show that prevention improvement is needed in these sub-districts. The number of TB patients and mortality rate in South Konawe Regency tend to increase every year. Real actions are needed from the government, health workers and the community itself to reduce the number of sufferers and mortality. Keywords: TB, South Konawe Regency, Indonesia

The aim of this research was to assess the effect of age and body weight on semen quality. The material used was secondary data of 50 Bali Bull from 2012 to 2018 which were grouped as follows. Age 2–4 years: body weight (BW) was low (260-408 kg), medium (409-557 kg) and high (558-706 kg). Age 5–7 years: BW was low (314-470 kg), medium (471-627 kg) and high (628-784 kg). Age 8-10 years: BW was low (481-580 kg), medium (581-680 kg) and high (681-780 kg). The method used in this research is a case study. The obtained data was analyzed by using Nested Completely Randomized Design. The results showed that the older the Bali bull, the volume and individual motility increased (p<0.05) but sperm concentration decreased (p<0.05). Age 2-4 years: BW significantly affected (p<0.05) the volume, sperm concentration and individual motility. Age 5-7 years: BW significantly affected (p<0.05) the volume and individual motility, but not significantly (p>0.05) sperm concentration. Age 8-10 years: BW significantly affected (p<0.05) the volume, sperm concentration and individual motility. The research concluded that the selection of Bali cattle to obtain good quality of semen production should consider the body weight.
