Brucellosis is a zoonotic bacterial disease that is endemic in many countries, especially developing countries such as Indonesia. Livestock centers in Indonesia have not been free from Brucellosis disease, which reaches 40% and spread almost throughout Indonesia. This study aimed to detect the presence of Brucellosis antibodies in Etawah Crossbreed at Siliragung District, Banyuwangi using the Rose Bengal Test (RBT) method. The data that will be obtained later was expected to provide benefits in reducing the possibility of Brucellosis spread and can be used as a reference for Brucellosis control programs in goats. The results showed that the RBT examination in the sample population of Etawah Crossbreed in Siliragung District which was taken showed negative results in all samples. The conclusion of this study was that Brucella abortus antibodies were not found in Etawah Crossbreed in Siliragung District, Banyuwangi.

Pyometra is an infection or inflammation of the uterine wall characterized by the accumulation of pus in the uterine lumen. Predisposing factors include age, breed, bacterial infection, and hormones. Another disease that is often correlated with an imbalance in reproductive hormones is mammary tumors. A 7-year-old unspayed female Pitbull dog weighed 27.9 kg has clinical symptoms of frequent discharge of mucopurulent reddish-brown discharge with a foul odor from the vagina. The left mammary glands of the second, third, and fourth nipples have lumps about 20 cm in diameter, are solid in consistency, well-defined, the same color as the skin surface, and can be moved. Diagnosis performed on physical examination, hematology, blood chemistry, and cytology was pyometra and mammary tumors. Treatment was done by ovariohysterectomy and unilateral mastectomy. Post-surgery therapy was enrofloxacin 5 mg/kg, ketoprofen 2 mg/kg, phytomenadione 1 mg/kg, and Biodin® 0.1 ml/kg, followed by intensive surgical wound care. The patient recovered after two months of treatment.

Scabious is a disease that often infests cats, originating from the family Sarcoptidae. This study aimed to determine the prevalence and factors that can affect the risk of scabious in cats. The study was evaluated at the Griya Satwa Clinic, Magetan in January-February 2021. The design of this study was a retrospective cohort study by taking secondary data during the 2020 period as study material. The data obtained were then entered into the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 20 for windows to analyze the association's relationship and increased risk by calculating the Chi-Square and Odds Ratio. The samples obtained were 76 cats infested with scabious. The analysis of the association of risk factors for scabious was breed (P = 0.428), age (P = 0.793), sex (P = 0.426). The results of the prevalence of scabious in cats from the study during January-February 2021 in the 2020 period were 9.5%, and the analysis of the association (Chi-Square) and the increased (Odds Ratio) of factors including breed, age, sex on the risk of scabious in cats were not significance / absent influence, The probability of error obtained is outside the tolerance set by the researcher, so the results are not significant (p>0,05).

Mammary gland tumours are frequently reported in adult female mice. It broadly affects the productivity and breeding performance of mice in breeding centres. The tumours might occur spontaneously due to internal factors such as genetic mutation and hormonal disturbance, however, external causes such as Mouse Mammary Tumour Virus (MMTV) infection was also reported. This study aimed to prove that age and number of parturition associate with mammary gland tumour case rate in female mice in Malang Raya. Chi-square tests were employed to analyse the association between risk factors and mammary gland tumour case rate in this study. Histopathologic analysis described three subtypes of mammary gland tumours in mice which were adenoma, adenocarcinoma type A and adenocarcinoma type B. Chi-square tests results of tumour case rate toward age and number of parturitions were consecutively 0,004 and 0,0025 which indicated that age and number of parturitions were associated with mammary gland tumours case rate in mice in Malang Raya. The mapping of tumour case distribution visually showed a trend that higher disease proportions were spotted in higher altitude of sampling location. This might relate to the geographical breeding characteristics or temperature which needs further study to explore the association of spatial factors with the mammary tumour incidence in mice.

Catfish is a freshwater fish with a high economic value, so it is very good to be developed. Feed is one of the most important components in the cultivation process because it plays a role in supporting the plants and the survival of cultivated fish. Seligi (Phyllanthus buxifolius) is a native Indonesian medicinal plant that has been widely used for medicinal purposes. Seligi leaf extract is known to contain flavonoids, polyphenols (tannins), saponins, alkaloids, quinones, and triterpenoid steroids. The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of using fermented seligi leaf flour in feed to reduce levels of total cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein, and high densities lipoprotein in catfish meat. The method used in this research is the experimental method. The main parameters in this study were total cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein (LDL), and high-density lipoprotein (HDL) in catfish meat. The supporting parameters in this research are water quality which includes temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen (DO), and ammonia (NH3-N). The results showed that the total cholesterol content of catfish meat ranged from 116.84-233.65 mg/dL. Meanwhile, the results of LDL in catfish meat ranged from 37.89-74.22 mg/dL. Then, the content of HDL in catfish meat ranges from 89.25-225.87 mg/dL.

Mastitis is an inflammatory disease in the internal tissue of the mammary gland. Subclinical mastitis does not show any changes in the shape of the mammary gland and to detect it can be examined the number of somatic cells in milk. Subclinical mastitis uses the California Mastitis Test (CMT) method as preliminary research to obtain preliminary data on the incidence of subclinical mastitis in KPSP Ijen Makmur, Licin District, Banyuwangi Regency. This research is descriptive research. The detection for this research was carried out by taking milk samples in cows per purposive and reacted CMT reagents issued circularly for 10-15 seconds. Observation of results is determined based on changes inconsistency with the existence of gel and the results of interview farmers as supporting data. The results showed that the influencing factors incidence of subclinical mastitis in KPSP Ijen Makmur, Licin District, Banyuwangi Regency were milk production, age and amount of lactation. In contrast, the biggest factor for reducing the risk of subclinical mastitis is udder health followed by body conditions measured by Body Condition Score.

The aim of the study was to determine the effect of the use of probiotic lactic acid bacteria (Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus casei, Lactococcus lactis, and Bifidobacterium sp) on feed efficiency, carcass weight and carcass percentage in broiler ducks. Probiotics lactic acid bacteria produce bacteriocins and organic acids that inhibit the growth of pathogenic microbes in the digestive tract of poultry, so that the intestinal villi of broiler ducks are healthy. Besides that, probiotics are able to reduce cholesterol levels in meat when consumed by humans and can improve health. This study used 48 peking ducks. The probiotics of Lactic Acid Bacteria used were a concentration of 1.2 x 108 CFU/ml. In this study there were four different treatments, namely P0 (without probiotics), P1 (given 1 ml probiotics/liter drinking water), P2 (given 2 ml probiotics/liter drinking water) and P3 (given 3 ml probiotics/liter of drinking water). The results of the feed efficiency study showed that there was a significant difference (p<0.05) in the P0, P1, P2 and P3 treatments. The highest feed efficiency was at P3 (33.81%) while the lowest was P0 (30.84%). The results of the study on carcass weight indicated that the probiotics tended to be higher than those who were not given probiotics but statistically not significantly different (p>0.05). The highest carcass weight was P3 (1749.92 g) and the lowest was P0 (1709.25 g). The results of the study on the percentage of carcass weight showed a significant difference (p<0.05) in both P0, P1, P2 and P3 treatments. The highest percentage of carcass weight was at P3 (64.60%) and the lowest was P0 (60.96%). It can be concluded that the administration of probiotics lactic acid bacteria (Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus casei, Lactococcus lactis, and Bifidobacterium sp) at a dose of 1 ml/liter of drinking water, 2 ml/liter of drinking water and 3 ml/liter of drinking water can affect feed efficiency and the percentage of duck carcasses. but has no effect on the carcass weight of broiler ducks.

Diseases that can cause very high economic losses are viruses and one of them is Betanodavirus or commonly called Viral Nervous Necrosis (VNN). VNN is a disease registered by The Office International des Epizooties (OIE) and is a major problem in marine fishery production in the world. This virus is able to infect fish from larva size to consumption size in a short period of time to reach death with a frequency of 80% to 100%. The disease can infect barramundi and is spread throughout the Riau Islands. This study used a live fish sampling method showing VNN signs and freshly dead fish. The research samples were obtained from several cities and districts in the Riau Islands Province, including Batam City, Bintan Regency, and Tanjung Balai Karimun Regency, the sample selection was based on clinical symptoms and fish mortality. Then the samples were necropsied for eye and brain organs, then amplified using primers targeting the RNA 2 gene. The results showed that VNN had been detected in the Riau Islands Province, i.e. Batam City, Bintan Regency, and Tanjung Balai Karimun Regency.
