The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of time equilibration before freezing sapera goat spermatozoa after ESS (Electric Separating Sperm) on motility, viability, membrane integrity, normality and abnormality of spermatozoa. Sapera goat spermatozoa were collected using an artificial vagina and then separated using the ESS method. This study used a completely randomized formula with three treatments, which are the equilibration time of P1 (1 hour), P2 (3 hours), and P3 (4 hours), with six replications. The analysis in this study used the ANOVA test followed by the Duncan test to determine the real difference between treatments. The conclusion of this study showed the highest percentage of motility, viability, membrane integrity, normality of sapera goat spermatozoa at 1-hour treatment, for the lowest percentage of abnormalities at 1-hour treatment. Significantly different results (p <0.05) on the anode and cathode sides in all equilibration time treatments.

The aim of this study was to compare the antigenicity between the whole virus and protein S of both local strain I-147 and Massachusetts strain of Infectious bronchitis virus with indirect ELISA. We used 10 positive serums from post vaccinated chickens for further reaction with four groups of antigens in this study that are: P1) S protein (spike glycoprotein) antigen of local strain IB virus; P2) S protein (spike glycoprotein) antigen of Massachusetts strain IB virus; P3) whole virus antigen of local strain IB virus; P4) whole virus antigen of Massachusetts strain IB virus. The results of this research are Optical Density (OD) values of each treatment, then to be analyzed using One Way ANOVA and followed by Duncan Multiple Range Test 5%. The results show that there are differences between the antigenicity of the whole virus and S protein in both local strain and Massachusetts strain of IB virus. The whole virus antigen of both strains has a significant difference (p<0.05) with the S protein antigen in both strains. Specifically, the whole virus antigen of Massachusetts strain has the highest OD among the other groups.

This study aimed to explain the case of ectoparasite infection and the life cycle of parasites in turtledoves (Geopelia striata). Sarcoptes sp. one of the ectoparasites belonging to the phylum Arthropods, the Arachnid class, and the order Acarina.Sarcoptes sp. can infect the skin of the host through direct contact with infected animals and the environment. Sarcoptes sp. infects by forming a lump under the skin and severe infection causes a crust to form on the skin and is accompanied by itching. Physical examination was carried out by means of inspection of the infected skin area. Subsequent examinations were carried out on the dead skin cells mixed with fresh manure macroscopically and microscopically. Macroscopic examination was done by observing the condition of the skin that is discraped. Microscopic examination using native examination. Based on the negative examination, it was found that there were Sarcoptes sp. mites on an objective microscope with a 40x magnification. Geopelia striata can be infected with Sarcoptes sp. through direct contact with sick animals. The incubation period of Sarcoptes sp. after infection from infected animals was 3-6 weeks.

Monosodium glutamate (MSG) is a sodium salt from glutamic acid which is currently very popular to be used as a food flavoring ingredient to stimulate appetite. Exessive consumption of MSG can disrupt the balance of antioxidants and ROS, and cause the negative effects of oxidative stress on testes. Coffee has high chlorogenic acid, function for antioxidants and reduce the negative effect on cell damage in the testes. This study aims to analyze the effect of robusta coffee extract on histological of mice testes induced with MSG. This study was completely randomized design (CRD), using 20 male mice for 5 treatment groups: K+ (MSG 0.12 mg and Vitamin C 6 mg), K- (MSG 0.12 mg and CMC Na 0.1 ml), P1 (MSG 0.12 mg and RCE 0.1 mg), P2 (MSG 0.12 mg and RCE 0.2 mg), and P3 (MSG 0.12 mg and RCE 0.4 mg) orally for 42 days. Histophatological scores were analyzed with Saphiro-Wilk Test and Anova. There is no effect of increasing testicular weight. 0,12 mg MSG can cause a decrease in the number of spermatogonia and spermatocytes. 0,2 mg robusta coffee extract can maintain the number of spermatogonia and spermatocytes.

This study aimed to determine the mutation of amino acid, nucleotide homology, phylogenetic tree, epitope prediction of Hemagglutinin-Neuraminidase protein Newcastle Disease (ND) Virus isolated from traditional market around Surabaya. Samples were from 37 chicken with cloacal swab and one positive samples for control (LaSota). Samples were inoculated on embyonate chicken eggs and identified with HA test confirmed with HI test. Positive samples processed by PCR using forward and reverse primer with 503 bp RNA target. The PCR result then analyzed with sequencing. Result of sequencing analysis showed that theres similiarity between samples amino acid and vaccine isolate its effect the percentage of nucleotide homology and phylogenetic relation between isolate. Epitope NGAANNSGWGAPIHDPDYIGG have high immunogenic value at all of isolate which good as vaccine candidate.
