Wind Response of Tall Buildings using Indian and Australian Standards 采用印度和澳大利亚标准的高层建筑风响应

India is one of the country having approx. 1.3 billion population. Continuous population increase and lack of availability of open spaces makes use of Tall Buildings essential. Increased demand of tall buildings makes wind analysis of the tall buildings considerable. The codal provisions available to carry out dynamic analysis of building subjected to wind. This paper discusses the Indian and Australian codal provisions available to carry out wind analysis of Tall Buildings. IS 875 (Part-3):1987, Indian code of practice gives procedure to calculate along wind response of tall structures. IS 875 (Part-3):2015 gives a simplified procedure to calculate along as well as across wind response of tall structures. An Australian code AS/NZS 1170.2-2002, Structural design actions - Wind actions is used carry out wind response study of tall buildings. AS 1288—2006 gives selection and installation of Glass in buildings subjected to wind.

Prediction of Intensity Level of Pain using Computational Methods 用计算方法预测疼痛强度水平

Pain has contributed to most of the health problem throughout the world. Unfortunately, the value of medical interventions is self-effacing Thus, automatic pain detection has proved to be an emerging area of investigation. It opens a window for those patients who are helpless in rating their pain level or cannot verbally describe it. Feature extraction approaches such as ICA, PCA, LDA, Surf, and Sift are considered in order to improve the accuracy in terms of system performance. The research contributions constitute three aspects: (1) the pain image database reflected on the face of individuals suffering from pain is prepared, (2) extraction of some particular set of features using the image database of facial pain, and (3) finally, the experimental results and discussion of face pain recognition algorithms. Using two different databases, the experiments are conducted i.e., UNBC-McMaster shoulder Pain database and the other is on the self-prepared database implemented on a frame level and image level. The result represents 89.27% accuracy at frame level for detection of pain and 96.2% at the image level. The methodology achieves 87% accuracy for classifying frames in four different pain levels.

Protein Function Prediction: Combining Statistical Features with Deep Learning 蛋白质功能预测:结合统计特征和深度学习

Functional annotation of proteins to reduce gap between the available proteins and their known functional annotations based on protein sequences is a challenging task. This requires transformation of protein sequences into feature vectors for efficient analysis from computational perspective using machine learning algorithms. However, such transformation is difficult task due to high diversity among the protein sequences from the same family. Most existing sequence features performed low when annotating proteins with large number of functional classes. In this paper, three sequence features are combined with deep learning techniques for better performance. Evaluation scores show better results when combined with deep CNN. F1-score for PseAAC + CNN improves by a factor of +9.5% compared to PseAAC + DNN. The corresponding number for AAID + CNN and SGT + CNN is +3.22% and +2.33% respectively.

Indonesia’s Oil Palm Bioenergy Sustainability Assessment System Using Indonesian Bioenergy Sustainability Indicators (IBSI) 基于印尼生物能源可持续性指标(IBSI)的印尼油棕生物能源可持续性评估系统

Palm oil has potential to produce renewable energy bioenergy or often called bioenergy. Bioenergy from palm oil is priority government to make sustainable industry. Based on literature a basic principle of sustainability are: 1) Social, 2) Economic & 3) Environment. This research was conducted in Indonesia, where based on several palm oil company in Indonesia. The main purpose of the research is obtain system of bioenergy sustainability assessment in Indonesia which can be reference for sustainability level of bioenergy from palm oil. The intermediate objective to achive the main objective are: 1) Identification of the influence indicators to realize the sustainability of palm oil bioenergy, 2) Design a model for assessing the sustainability of palm oil bioenergy in Indonesia, 3) Analyze the level of sustainability of bioenergy in Indonesia with model system was already built. The methods used in this research to asses sustainability of bioenergy in Indonesia is Fuzzy Inference System (FIS). The result showed the level of oil palm bioenergy sustainability has score 61.7 for environment indicator, 50.1 for economic indicator, and 50.9 for social indicator. Overall, the level of bioenergy sustainability is 61.7, it means the sustainability level in Indonesia quite sustainable with confidance level is 80.6%, most sustainable with confidance level is 0%, and unsustainable with confidance 19.4%.

Biodiversity is a boon for reinforcement of sustainability and innovation for betterment of society via transformation of scientific temper. Nature has consciousness and invincible strength to bio diversified plants against protection from unforeseen turbulence is observed by researchers. Natural bamboo is a type of Bio composites found in tropical region has strength to weight ratio and aesthetics valuation more than alloy steels hence it is useful in ultra-luxurious segment of society. The purpose of the paper is to elaborate mechanism and mechanics of natural bamboo materials explicitly for determination of micro/macro rupture of fibre matrix adhesion subjected to severe shearing as efficient natural strength of tensile strength and bending strength inbuilt with bamboo by nature and failure mode is conventional in plane twisting of composite culms. The paper is useful for researchers focusing on innovation and green technology for achievement of sustainable development goals.

AI-enabled health technology holds significant promise for improving health outcomes and clinical workflows. However, it also generates challenges for health data governance and security. More specifically, apps that involve AI health coaching (e.g., an AI-mediated dialogue between the user and healthcare providers) evoke concerns about medical paternalism and privacy as well as the need for encompassing a broad range of individual understandings of what constitutes a good life. Leveraging a transdisciplinary approach, this paper sets forth a research agenda for stakeholders to proactively collaborate and design AI technologies that work with users to improve their health and wellbeing.

Initial Oxidation of a Third-Generation Ni-Based Superalloy Analyzed by in situ Environmental TEM 原位环境透射电镜分析第三代镍基高温合金的初始氧化

Understanding an initial oxidation mechanism is important for superalloys since a small amount of oxidation can induce rapid follow-up that expands corrosion and can cause catastrophic failure of an aircraft. We reveal the mechanism of initial oxidation on a third-generation Ni-based superalloy by directly visualizing the nano- and atomic-scale dynamic evolution of initial oxidation on a Cs-corrected environmental transmission electron microscope at temperatures of up to 900 °C. The study provides a direct dynamic initial oxidation scene and shows the intrinsic oxidation mechanism in a way that traditional research cannot reach.

Investigation of Kelvin Prone Force Microscopy Efficiency for Detection of Hydrogen Trapping in Carbide Precipitates 开尔文倾向力显微镜检测碳化物沉淀中氢捕获效率的研究

Aging twinning-induced plasticity (TWIP) steel was obtained by aging heat treatment at 700 °C for 24 h. Scanning Kelvin probe force microscopy (SKPFM) was used to investigate the local distribution of hydrogen after electrochemical charging in TWIP steel with carbides in grain boundaries and grains. Results showed that carbides at the grain boundary adsorbed more hydrogen than those in the grain, which may be due to the simultaneous adsorption of hydrogen by carbides and grain boundaries. The numerical simulation results based on the McNabb-Foster equation showed that carbides have stronger adsorption effect than the austenite matrix.

Significantly Enhanced Ferroelectric and Dielectric Properties in BaTiO 3/LaNiO 3 Superlattices batio3 / lano3超晶格的铁电性能和介电性能显著增强

BaTiO3/LaNiO3 (BTO/LNO) ferroelectric superlattices with different stacking periods have been prepared by pulsed laser deposition (PLD). Compared to the pure BTO films, the BTO/LNO superlattices have significantly enhanced ferroelectric and dielectric properties. This is because, in addition to the strain effect, the accumulated oxygen vacancies in each ultra-thin LNO layer can change the depolarization field and reduce the leakage current in the superlattices. Therefore, these results indicate that the use of ultra-thin metallic oxide layers as the constituent material of the ferroelectric superlattices is a feasible and effective way to improve the properties of superlattices.
