Finite element models of piezoresistive silicon pressure sensor with dielectric isolation as well as resonant pressure sensor (RPS) and optomechanical unit of photoelectric fiber-optical pressure sensor are presented in this paper. The models take into account various specific effects which are taking place while designing sensors with an overall error less than 0.5% with only passive elements. That type of sensors has a great interest for applications with a harsh environment conditions (high operation temperature and so on). It is demonstrated, that consideration of scaling effects for piezoresistive pressure sensors allows to increase sensor sensitivity and to compensate both full scale span and zero offset temperature dependence. Also the calculations of the RPS sensitivity with an actual shape of resonator and its junction region to elastic element are presented in this paper. A dependence of the pressure sensor resonant frequency on technological factors is established. It is shown, that a rational choice of optomechanical unit construction of photoelectric fiber-optical pressure sensor allows to gain 20% increase in amount of movement of optical fiber and, as a result, to increase sensitivity. An efficiency of finite element models is demonstrated on the existing pressure sensors samples.

This paper presents a DC-link current study of Indirect Matrix Converter (IMC) and Capacitor Clamped Converter based on IMC and Flying Capacitor (FC) technologies. The general control techniques are introduced with computer simulation for all investigated schemes and obtained results are given and discussed in the article.

Small lawn-mowers powered by low-energy lithium batteries are on the market already. However, battery powers only the grass cutting blades while propulsion is to be done manually. Standard self-propelling lawn-mowers use noisy combustion engines or 230 V AC supplied single-phase induction machines. A self-propelled battery powered lawn-mower is developed and assembled within a prototype project. Lithium Ion batteries are the present optimal choice for mobile power from the technical side. The general high cost of such an mobile off-grid energy supply leads to employing cells in re-use. An application-adapted battery management system is realized for that purpose. As the 230 V AC drive is the original grid-powered one, we insert a commercial 12 V DC => 230 V AC inverter. In order to accomplish start-up of the induction machine some additional circuits are included.

The functional verification problem of IP blocks of network protocols controllers is considered. The application of the verification method using fully-functional models of the processor and the internal bus of a system-on-chip is justified. Principles of construction of a verification system based on the given approach are proposed. In the paper the dosimetric parameters measurement technique of the pulsed bremsstrahlung generated by betatron is described. The dose and the dose rate measurement results from the pulsed bremsstrahlung generated by betatron are presented. The dose rate spatial distributions of the pulsed bremsstrahlung generated by betatron obtained with the help of the thermoluminescent dosimeters DTL-02 and the cylindrical ionization chamber type 30013 are demonstrated.
