Results of preliminary experiments on the possibility of biologically active points (BAP) visualization by illuminating them with light pulse causing luminescence of the skin surface in the BAP area are considered. The locations of the BAPs were checked by electrical resistance measurements and by the location topography.

It is investigated resolution power of the seismic antenna used in an original method of ground-based monitoring of hydraulic fracturing. The limiting measurement error estimation of nodes coordinates of the virtual three-dimensional grid imposed on productive layer space is given. 4 variants of the structured location grids are offered. Grids comparison results by criterion of maximum seismic antenna resolution power are brought.

Summary form only given. An approach to tracking controller design for single-input-single-output linear systems in the presents of unstable zero-dynamics and parametrically undefined mathematical model of the plant is proposed in the paper. It is assumed also that there is incomplete knowledge about ecosystem characteristics and state vector of the system. The presented approach is based on the theory of sliding motion control, state vector observer design and online identification of unknown parameters.

For insular supply of electricity off-grid, Lithium-Ion Batteries are an optimal choice when disregarding the price due to their high power and high energy capability and low self-discharge rate. However, they require careful balancing and some advanced protection system components that go far beyond standard electronics for lead-acid batteries. Power coming from photovoltaic panels easily can overcharge the battery in summer months. A special high current charge controller was established for input energy turn off once the battery is full. Some safety levels are introduced to reduce risks. In addition to standard full-battery turn off of photovoltaic input a thyristor-short-circuiter is inserted, too. If for any reason voltage at battery exceeds a certain peak voltage the short-circuit-thyristor is fired and this action disconnects the battery from the input by blowing a high current high speed emergency fuse. Lithium Ion batteries easily survive short circuits of limited duration e.g. lasting less than several seconds. A system operation display is integrated. Photovoltaic charging, full battery, balancing of individual cells, over-voltage and under-voltage of the battery are indicated by LEDs. Charge current and battery voltage is displayed by digital voltmeters. A prototype connected to a 12 V / 1600 Ah battery unit is in test application presently.

The paper deals with two key oblique-angled coordinate systems for the space vector representation of the multilevel voltage source inverter which are considered as the coordinate systems of two delta voltages. Simplicity of the algorithm of the choice of the three nearest vectors to the reference and the determining of their actions durations under space vector PWM (SVPWM) realization in oblique-angled coordinates system is shown. The roles of the integer values and the fractional values of the relative delta voltages are revealed. The conclusion is drawn that the oblique-angled 60- and 120-degree coordinates are equivalent and similar from the point of view of steps, operations and results of the SVPWM algorithm application. The insertion of calculations in oblique-angled coordinates operations (with use of the presented formulas of corresponding transformations) as the subblock into the basic algorithm of calculations on orthogonal components has been proposed.

Three directions in construction of such transformers are considered: on converters with a direct connection, on converters with an intermediate link of the higher frequency and on converters with a DC intermediate link. The basic properties of converters of each direction are noted.

Signals recorded by seismic sensors, formed by the superposition of seismic waves propagating in the ground by multipath paths. Therefore, they obey a Gaussian distribution, and spectral-correlation properties allow the use of Markov models based on recurrent linear prediction mechanism. Models of this type are used in various fields, such as processing of speech signals, sonar systems, as well as a good description of the properties of seismic signals. The fact that sensitive sensors in the system are at a relatively short distance from each other, resulting in mutual dependence of local signals using which can further improve the quality of prediction, thereby reducing the residual background level and, therefore, increase the signal-to-noise ratio. So in the work as an alternative to the existing local processing is offered jointly (vector) processing of signals observed in the group of seismic sensors. Furthermore, a method of identifying a model parameter vector prediction is described.

To reduce longitudinal gauge deviations of the head sections at the hot strip mill rolling it is reasonable to profile band of variable thickness due to the length provided by the linear motion of the screw-down arrangements under load. The paper considers the structure of the automatic gauge control system (ACGS) of the indirect type. It estimates the accuracy of screw-down arrangement position control in the single-loop automatic position control system. It also justifies the use of automatic position combined control system. The introduction of the additional channel of control due to the first derivative of the reference input signal was proved to provide the required accuracy values of the strip gauge control. The paper presents data of the pilot study of the developed system at OJSC Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works' mill 2,000; they confirm its efficiency.
