The paper deals with the simulation of error of non-contact temperature measurements in the presence of a number of external destabilizing factors. It is shown that the usage of standard correction procedure utilizing the “coefficient of emissivity” setting doesn't reduce the error to an acceptable level throughout the range. Two methods of an additional external correction are proposed and investigated.

This paper presents the nonlinear control system design algorithm - the localization method - applied to the output superheater of the coal power plant once-through boiler. Theoretical basics of the localization method are shown. Linear and nonlinear models of the superheater were earlier developed. Basic descriptions of these models properties are presented, too. The control of the plant is processed by two control cascades; each of these cascades uses the localization controller and the special element for derivatives evaluating the differentiating filter. Through the research there were the different localization loop configuration developments. Simulation results for these variants of the localization loops are presented.

It was studied microplasma breakdown statistical delay in the green GaP:N light emitting diodes. It was detected unusual strong dependence of deep level traps on the avalanche breakdown statistical delay after changing their charge state with the voltage decreasing on the p-n junction in the temperature range 300-380 K. It was found out four deep level traps and determined their parameters.

The research on the choice of scanning signal working frequency for skin surface sponginess estimation using ultrasonic vibrations has been made. The experimental setup has been designed. It is shown that the maximum change of the piezoplate voltage is at the resonance frequency for both cases: contact with air and contact with skin surface. The optimum scanning signal frequency for the considered radiator is 485 kHz.
