In this study, a novel clustering-based selection strategy of nondominated individuals for evolutionary multi-objective optimization is proposed. The new strategy partitions the nondominated individuals in current Pareto front adaptively into desired clusters. Then one representative individual will be selected in each cluster for pruning nondominated individuals. In order to evaluate the validity of the new strategy, we apply it into one state of the art multi-objective evolutionary algorithm. The experimental results based on thirteen benchmark problems show that the new strategy improves the performance obviously in terms of breadth and uniformity of nondominated solutions.

The reachability problem, the problem of checking whether certain node can be reached from some initial settings such that all restrictions on flow of control are satisfied, arises frequently in various applications of Unified Modeling Language activity diagrams. However, the complexity of the problem, or in fact the complexity of any general problem in UML activity diagrams, has yet to be investigated. Towards this initiative, we specify a class of diagrams where the reachability problem is PSPACE-complete. However, if one further condition is applied, it can be shown that the problem is NP-complete.

A direct adaptive fuzzy predictive control method is presented for attitude tracking of satellites with model uncertainty and external disturbances in this paper. Firstly, a nonlinear predictive control law for general mechanical systems is derived. Then, the error in predictive control law from system model uncertainties are approximated and compensated by constructed adaptive fuzzy logic systems, and stability of the closed-loop system is proved. Finally, the satellite attitude tracking error equation is formulated with quaternion and the proposed direct adaptive fuzzy control law is applied to realize desired attitude tracking. Simulation results show the satisfied control accuracy and robustness of the proposed method.

The same frequency interference (including direct coupling wave of receiving and transmitting antennas, direct surface reflection wave), because of its strong energy, has great effect for the target signal of a near field transient active electromagnetic detection system. This interference has the same frequency as target signal, and is generally bigger than the target signal, so, it is of great harm to the detection system's normal operation. In this paper, the traditional methods of same frequency interference elimination are analyzed, and the working principle of adaptive RLS(Recursive Least Square) filter is presented, then a new method of same frequency interference suppression which is based on recursive QRD-LS algorithm is put forward. The method has fast convergence speed; low operation amount and can realize real-time processing. The simulation results show that this method can effectively suppress the same frequency interference, and improve the SIR (Signal to Interference Radio) of the target signal. Moreover, the method has a good applicability for the local aberration of the same frequency interference and the changes of its amplitude and time-delay.

In this paper, a novel function series expansion method based on functional network model is proposed, and a functional network model for functions in several variables series expansion and learning algorithm are given, the learning of parameters of the functional networks is carried out by the solving linear equations. The simulation results show that the proposed approach is more efficient and feasible in function series expansion. By this algorithm, we only need the sample space of the original functions. So this algorithm has the value of application in industries.

Load forecasting is a traditional research field of power system, under normal circumstance, there are great similarities between the similar days, but under the condition of special days and extreme weather, load prediction has some uncertainty. Extraction model for load characteristics of special days and extreme weather was proposed in this paper, coding strategy and genetic operation of traditional genetic algorithm were redefined in the model, the relational rules about relation between power load special days and extreme weather were extracted. At the same time, the credibility of these rules was proven by practice.

A kinematical equivalent mechanism names as 3-RUS+PU paralled mechanism is proposed according to the structure of helicopter non-rotating swashplate mechanism in hingless rotor with Bell-hiller stabilizer bar. Inverse solution is used to get the position analysis of this mechanism. By virtual mechanism method, influence coefficient matrices of this mechanism are given, and the correctness is validated by differential method. With considering the size and mass of mechanism, the atlas of acceleration performance indices and inertia force performance indices are got. From the atlas, the better size with better performance indices is chosen by using the trend between the value of performance indices and the size of mechanism.

This paper proposes an agent-based data access mechanism of mobile device. In the mechanism, mobile device use agents to manage local database and connect to remote agent. Remote agent receives data and query remote database. The local database is designed using partial detailed concept. The partial detailed database can store different details of content for query to avoid unnecessary connection to reduce local memory space, data flow, and energy. The performance evaluation is conducted to demonstrate the effectiveness of the remote data access. An implementation of proposed mechanism also shows that the mechanism is suitable for the mobile computing environment.

Study on logistics project risk will give helpful information for managers to make decision or manage risk. Therefore, it is meaningful to evaluate the logistics project risk. This paper gives evaluation indexes system of logistics risk firstly, Then combines the unascertained theory with fuzzy method, and gives the evaluation model of logistic project risk basing on unascertained theory and fuzzy method, firstly the risk probability and risk loss are given by using the unascertained theory and fuzzy method respectively, then the whole risk of logistics project is given according to the mean of risk. And the application of the comprehensive evaluation model is given, which combines the quantitative analysis with qualitative analysis and the model is effective and system to evaluate risk, and is useful for managers to manage risk of logistic project.

In this paper, a multi-scale stationary wavelet decomposition technique combined with functional auto-regression is used to improve the prediction accuracy and parsimony of anchovy monthly catches forecasting in area north of Chile (18 21'S-24 S). The general idea behind this approach is to decompose the observed anchovy catches data into low frequency (LF) component and high frequency (HF) component by using stationary wavelet transform and to separately forecast each frequency component. The forecasting strategy was evaluated for a period of 42 years, starting from 1-Jun-1963 to 31-Dec-2007 and we find that the proposed forecasting method achieves a 98% of the explained variance with a reduced parsimony and high accuracy. Besides, is showed that the wavelet-autoregressive forecaster is more accurate and performs better than both multilayer perceptron neural network model and functional autoregressive model.
