In recent years, eco-friendly transportation is becoming more important. Vehicle has to be replaced with electric car to reduce pollution. Under these circumstances, if it can be operated with other public transportation, it will be more efficient transportation in the future. To make it possible, electric unmanned vehicle requires middleware for decision making to driving. Middleware in unmanned vehicle is important to extensive data processing. Therefore, we will construct an environment for testing and developing middleware by simulator.

Due to the rapid development of the modern world, the stress is rapid increasing to the human being. For the patients of panic disorder who suffer from hyperventilation syndrome. This study proposes a portable system to monitor the oxygen concentration in the blood, and then provides proper advices for releasing. This system would make the patients feel better when they are in the shadow of panic disorder.

Testing is the last step to check the correctness of a software system. However, due to its incompleteness, we still do not know if the implementation behavior matches the design behavior. In this paper, we provide a new solution for web applications. Since web application has special navigation character, we can get rich information in the log file after testing. From such log file, we extract the Petri net based behavior of the web application. The behavior is then checked by SPIN. Market Information System has been adopted as the case study.

In this paper, the terms e-learning and e-commerce are introduced and companies that offer free online education are brought under focus. Another thing defined here is how we can use e-learning to achieve e-commerce goals, making money and improve the value of the firms. In This study, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats are defined (SWOT analysis) and suggestions are given to improve the efficiency of companies. Finally, a questionnaire formed with Likert scale and filled by the MBA students who study IT major in a privet university in Malaysia is discussed. This sample group is selected simply because they will be IT managers in future and this paper has tried to find the rate of the understanding line between free e-learning websites and e-commerce and evaluate which challenges are faced by the managers to achieve their goals. SPSS software has been used as the analysis tool in this study.

In Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs), each node performs multiple roles, such as sensor, router, and storage. It gathers data from an environment and does not only transfer the data to destinations such as sinks but also store the data in its storage. Therefore, just one node failure can cause malfunctions of various facilities of a WSN. So far, many schemes are proposed to overcome such malfunctions, however, most of them give less consideration to storage-role of nodes, that is, to reserve data safely. Besides, even schemes paying attention to storage-role of nodes are based on impractical assumptions or are suitable to particular cases. In this paper, first, we investigate the data preserving methods of existing schemes and their limitations. Then, we suggest a backup scheme as a solution to overcome such limitations and considering factors for developing a new backup scheme. The considering factors include the followings; the number of backup data, the location of backup data, and data recovery method. Finally, we propose the backup scheme reflecting the considering factors. The proposed scheme can safely preserves data in spite of node failures and consumes reasonable energy. Furthermore, it is suitable well to common WSNs and does not need any impractical assumptions.

Anger is a normal, healthy emotion. But when anger gets out of control, it can cause problems in daily life. Anger status can be determined basing on the HRV spectrum, which reflects the interaction of sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems. This study developed a portable system for real-time reflecting the user's anger status, which would facilitate the conscious of anger. Moreover help to control the anger release, which would further effectively improve the personal health and life quality.

Sudden earth tremors (seismic events) and the accompanying ground falls constitute a major threat to underground mining operations in most underground mines in Zambia. Seismic monitoring is therefore an important exercise that ensures not only a safe working environment for workers but ensures the safety of communities living nearby the mines. This paper discusses seismic events monitoring at one of the biggest mines in Zambia called Mufulira Copper mine. A study on seismic monitoring was carried out at the mine through observations, interviews and record inspections. The study revealed the different methods used over a period of time and it also revealed some major causes of seismicity at the mine. The paper then proposes the use of Wireless Underground Sensor Networks (WUSNs) to monitor seismic events in underground mines. Wireless sensor networks uses sensors that are capable of not only sensing, but processing and transmitting data, hence reducing on the wiring that is characterized by the current-system.

This paper demonstrates a systematic procedure of system identification, flight control design and robustness analysis for an Uninhabited Aerial Vehicle (UAV). Unscented Kalman Filter (UKF) is used to estimate the aerodynamic parameters with uncertainty bounds and to update the nonlinear model. A linearized model with parametric uncertainties is extracted from the nonlinear uncertain dynamics of the UAV by a new approach. Next, an accurate, equivalent worst-case gain unmodeled dynamic uncertainty model is constructed for the purpose of simplifying the resulting synthesized controller. The system has to be robust against varying system parameters. Two different robust methodologies named H-infinity and Mu synthesis are adopted for control laws development. The robustness of these two controllers is assessed via real-Mu analysis, using a linear fractional transformation (LFT) model with detailed parametric uncertainties. Finally, the nonlinear model analysis shows system performance under uncertainty perturbation by using Monte-Carlo simulation.

This paper introduces experimental simulation method to the field of innovative talent management in universities by agent modeling. Firstly, the behavior rules for the space and the agents are set, the agent states are defined, and the model is implemented on NetLogo platform. Then a contrastive experiment is carried out to find differences between academic impact-oriented and knowledge innovation-oriented mode. It is found that the latter mode enjoys better systematic efficiency, and some policy suggestions are presented accordingly. The experiment has verified the functions of the model which is proved to be effective, showing favorable development prospects in research area.

The volatility of the oil future price is extremely complex, therefore an accurate forecasting on oil price is an important and challenging topic. This paper presents a GRNN forecasting model for Brent crude oil price. Careful attention is paid on finding number of features as input data to achieve best performance for model. Also to overcome unforeseen critical conditions, a crisis index is defined. The results show that with appropriate selection of the training data and crisis index, the model is capable of forecasting oil price in both normal and critical conditions.
