An ethnobotanical study was conducted to document the traditional and local use of plants in the prevention and treatment of diseases in the three administrative districts of the Republic of Serbia, Banat, Sumadija and, Zlatibor. The research aims to point out the similarities and differences in the use of medicinal plants in the examined environments and the time contributed to the preservation of knowledge about the traditional use of plants in these parts of Serbia. Data were collected using an ethnomedical survey in which 79 respondents aged 35-75 participated. The families from which most species are used in traditional medicine are Lamiaceae (17.5%), Rosaceae (13%), Asteraceae (11%).. The largest number of respondents collects herbs (47%) and uses it in the form of tea (43%) for the treatment of respiratory and gastrointestinal diseases.

The main goal of this research is to examine the influences of extensive breeding methods and their interactions on the result of rearing lambs of Sjenica pramenka breed, more precisely the influence of body weight values of lambs reared in four different locations: Novi Pazar, Raska, Tutin, Sjenica. Lambs were tested from January 2018 to April 2020. The average birth weight of Sjenica pramenka lambs for 2018 is 2.98 kg, for 2019 it is 3.03 kg, The average birth weight of Sjenica pramenka lambs for 2020 is 3.32 kg. The highest average birth weight of lambs was measured in Sjenica and amounted to 3.55 kg, and the lowest in Tutin with 2.59 kg. In Novi Pazar 3.36 kg, and in Raska 3.41 kg. The difference in birth weight between lambs can be explained by breeding conditions, sheep selection and nutrition.

The aim of this study is to determine the qualitative and quantitative variability of volatile constituents of leaf essential oils of Cotinus coggygria Scop., wild-growing at three different types of the substrate; calcareous (3), serpentinite (2) and sandy (1). The essential oil samples were hydrodistilled from fresh leaves of C. coggygria. The obtained results showed that the leaf essential oils from all populations (i.e. regardless of the substrate on which they spontaneously grew) are abundant in monoterpene hydrocarbons (95.7%). Populations from calcareous and serpentinite habitats synthesize almost twice more oxygenated monoterpenes in their oils compared to that from the sandy substrate, while populations from serpentine and sandy substrates produce almost twice more sesquiterpene hydrocarbons than those from calcareous substrates. Therefore, it can be concluded that edaphic characteristics of natural stands of C. coggygria affect the composition of their leaf oils, which may have significant applications in biotechnology.

In this paper, extraction of the total flavonoid compounds from dill (Anethum graveolens L) leaves using an aqueous ethanol solution (50% by volume) was studied at different temperatures (30, 40, and 50 0C). A physical unsteady- state diffusion model and empirical Ponomarev model were developed to model the extraction process’s kinetics. The enthalpy and entropy changes were positive, while the Gibbs free energy was negative and decreased when temperature increased during the thermodynamic analysis. Therefore, extraction of total flavonoids from dill leaves was endothermic, spontaneous, and irreversible.

Soil fertility studies emphasize the close correlation of all soil fertility factors starting from soil composition and soil properties, pedogenetic factors, climatic factors interactions, different biological, chemical and physical processes, intensive human influence through apication of various agrotehnical measures in different intensity and duration. The research in this paper is focused on connections between some soil physical properties and soil tipe, or in other words basic soil caracteristics that define productive capacity of that soil type.

The paper analyzes the content of heavy metals, as well as the physical and chemical parameters of six Bela Crkva lakes. Obtained parameters were used for determination of the class of water quality. The results showed traces of As, Cr, Cu, Fe, Mn, Ni and Zn in all samples, while Cd, Co and Hg were not detected, and traces of Pb were detected in the samples of the waters of the Glavno and Malo Lakes. The values of other measured parameters were in the range that indicates that these lakes belong to I, II and III water classes. The aim of this paper is to point out the possible pollution of the lake by sports and recreational purposes, as well as agricultural activities around the lake.

For applications as an engineering material, the ability to design properties is of special importance, ie. structuring materials that can be achieved on several levels and in different ways. One of the goals of this research is the development of procedures that would enable the production of silicone polymer nets with improved mechanical, elastic and thermal properties. These materials mainly relate to the dimethylsiloxane structure, which is known for its biocompatibility, in polymeric states. FTIR spectroscopy was used to confirm the presumed mechanism of the siloxane crosslinking reaction. The aim was to further elucidate the mechanism of interaction of silicone materials based on the obtained results of the analysis of mechanical properties of silicone nanocomposites.

Maize cultivation in a crop rotation, especcially when legumes are incorporated, contribute to the high yield achievement and a reduction of weed infestation. In such a crop rotation system, the lower rates of herbicides could be applied in order to achive reduction of weed species distribution. The investigations were aimed to underline the importance of crop rotation in comparision to maize continuous cropping for weed distribution reduction and increase of maize leaf area and grain yield. The results of long-term investigation showed that crop rotation contibuted to the significant decrease of weed number (51,19%) and increase of leaf area and grain yield of maize (13,98% and 45,87%, respectively) in comparision to maize continuous cropping. Differences in weed number, maize leaf area and grain yield between herbicide treatments in the recommended and half of recomended rate were not significant, underlining the importance and high efficiency of combined application of cultural and chemical measures in maize cultivation and agroecosystem prevention.

In this paper, the potential impact of the waters of the Banat watercourses of Zlatica, Brzava and Kikindski kanal as potential sources for irrigation is assessed on the basis of monthly water samples from the measuring stations of Markovićevo, Vrbica and Novo Miloševo, for the vegetation period from the year 2007 to 2019. The aim of the research is to get hydrochemical assesment of irrigation water quality from the basic chemical aspect in order to examine the possibility of using these watercourses for irrigation purposes. Most of the samples according to different quality parameters belong to the class of water that is of suitable quality, which indicates the fact that the examined watercourses are good as sources for irrigation.

The aim of this paper is to calculate costs of potato production on area of 1.5 ha in 2020 on the Mijailović farm in the village of Gornja Kravarica, municipality of Lučani. Economic viability of production was analyzed. The calculation of costs calculated gross margin, and sensitivity analysis of the gross margin, as a significant indicator of success production in relation to the achieved yield and selling price potatoes, are presented. The total yield of mercantile potatoes was 65 t and the average selling price was 15 RSD per kg. To determine the financial result, all revenues and expenditures were taken into account, so gross margin in observed year amounted to 335,362 RSD.
