Current food biotechnology trends and final gastronomic products in recent times include unusual exotic plants as bases, salads, side dishes or drinks. Considering these trends halophytes could be potentially positioned as a novel source of gastronomic products and bioactive compounds. Many halophytes are used as food, fodder or medicinal plants. In the Serbia is one countries with well developed halophytic flora. This article aimed to investigate the place of halophytes in actual traditional utilization and make a list of species suitable for food preparation with confirmed use and nutritional value comparable with other countries.

There is no common and objective definition of clean label food. „Clean label’’ trend has influence the food industry to reveal on clearly way and with simply understanding show presence or absence a certain ingredient or additive, if the food produced by a „eco-friendly” approach. A review of recent studies on clean label movement worldwide report about important facts for scientific and economic community in development countries, like Serbia.

Interspecies hybrids are classified in a special category of domesticated grapevines. In Bosnia and Herzegovina, on the territory of Herzegovina, table grapes for commodity production and varieties with all ripening periods can be successfully grown. Starting from the interspecies hybrids characteristics and having in mind the non-existent tradition of table grape varieties production in northern Bosnia there is a need to introduce this type of varieties in experiments on this area. The paper presents the results of two - year research of introduced table varieties Palatina, Nero, Ester and Ruski rani which belong to the group of interspecies hybrids. The variety Shasla red was used as a comparative variety. The variety Palatina had the highest average grape cluster weight (251.3 g), while the variety Šasla crvena had the highest average absolute fertility coefficient (2.4). In the Ruski rani variety, a relatively high sugar content was noticed in the must (18.3%). All examined varieties deserve attention and they may have a significant place in table varieties production in the northern Bosnia, in the upcoming period.

n order to carry out the multi-residue determination of the pesticides in the soil the liquid chromatography coupled with tandem mass spectrometry with a triple quadrupole analyzer was applied. The basis of the method is the modified version of the environmentally friendly QuEChERS extraction. The validation parameters (linearity, recovery, precision, matrix effects, limit of detection and limit of quantification) were set in accordance with the SANTE/12682/2019. The obtained results show that the applied method represents the safe and reliable determination method for the cyprodinil, fenpropimorph, prochloraz and tebuconazole residues in the soil.

Plant extracts are widely used as biofungicides and medical bioproducts because of their eco-friendly nature and cost effectiveness. The present investigation focuses on the activity of a solvent based on industrial hemp extracts against two phytopathogenic fungi and five human pathogenic bacteria. The present study suggests the potential of the industrial hemp extracts for the development of novel broad spectrum herbal formulations used in plant protection and medicine.

The in vivo genotoxic activity of the aerial part and root methanol extracts of Lysimachia vulgaris L. and ability to protect DNA from ethyl methanesulfonate- induced DNA damage was studied using comet assays in Drosophila melanogaster. Results revealed no significant differences in mean genetic damage index between exposure groups (20, 40, 80 mg mL-1 of Drosophila food) and negative control, indicating a non-genotoxic effect. Combined treatment of extracts and ethyl methanesulfonate showed a significant reduction in DNA damage with a percentage of reduction above 80. These findings suggest that the methanolic extract of L. vulgaris could be used as a natural agent in the prevention of diseases associated with DNA damage.

The objective of this study was to describe the complex etiopathogenesis, forms, prevention and treatment of lameness in dairy cows. Since inflammation of the hoof mostly affects cows that have superior milk performance, it poses major health and economic issues. Laminitis can take different forms and courses, classified as acute and chronic, deep and superficial, aseptic and septic. Aseptic subdermatitis is of much greater concern, as it is a metabolic disease of the hoof corium with degenerative changes in the corium and horn. Its common causes are stress associated with calving, imbalanced diet, incidence of acidosis or alkalosis, high milk production, and overloading of the hooves. This results in the production of toxins, particularly histamine, in the forestomachs, leading to vasoconstriction, followed by vasodilation within the hoof corium and, consequently, oedema, hyperaemia, the destruction of blood vessels in the corium, and, at a later stage, degenerative changes in the corium and horn. Lameness develops, depending on the degree of pathological changes. Therefore, the prevention, early diagnosis and treatment of aseptic and septic laminitis are of major importance in managing the health and welfare of high-producing dairy cows.

Precise agriculture, with the support of modern information and communication technologies, enables significant optimization of the agricultural production process. Thanks to the concept of the Internet of Things (IoT), the management of individual operations during the production process can be achieved remotely. The paper presents LoRa (Long Range) technology that enables wireless communication over long distances with low energy consumption, as well as the methodology of LoRa network design. The use of LoRa technology in the open is very important in order to collect data from agricultural fields that spread out on a larger area.

The aim of the research of this paper was to perform chemical analyzes of wastewater from the collection shaft after the separator of the dairy "Kuč Kompani". Physico-chemical analyzes were performed in the laboratory of the Institute of Public Health Kragujevac and the laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture in Čačak. In the sample from 2021, the value of HPK is 6.8154 mg O2 / dm3, BOD 1.6 mg / dm3 O2, while in 2020 the value of HPK was 18.02 mg O2 / dm3 and BOD 4 mg / dm3. The technological wastewater of the dairy did not show a higher load in terms of BPK and HPK values. The values of other parameters are within the maximum allowable concentrations and the Ordinance on wastewater quality.

Heavy metals represent a very important group of environmental pollutants because they are potential metabolic inhibitors. A study was conducted to investigate the content of heavy metals (Pb) in the soil and their accumulation in the wheat tree - Triticum sp., in the phase of full maturity in four wheat varieties, to obtain information on the health of cultivated genotypes, and to determine which variety wheat is the least susceptible to lead accumulation. The concentration of lead was highest in the cultivars Renaissance and Apache.
