The aim of this research was to determine the antibacterial potential ofaqueous and ethanolic extract of wild mushroom species: Agaricus macrosporus and Russulavesca. Extracts from R.vesca were characterized with higher values for total carbohydrates and total proteins. Both aqueous extracts had higher antibacterial activity compared to ethanolic extracts. Aqueous extract from R.vesca showed higher antibacterial activity against B. cereus (13.6mm), E.faecalis (12.1 mm), E. coli(16.7 mm) and P.aeruginosa (10.5 mm) compared to gentamicin or neomycin. This study represents a novel starting point for future researchin which mushroom extracts can be used in various industry fields.

The inventory of amphibians was conducted during 2020 and 2021 in the area of northeastern Bosnia. The conducted research determined 11 species of amphibians, of which three species belong to the tailed amphibians and the other eight to the tailless amphibians. Based on IUCN data, it can be concluded that these are the species with the least concern (LC) status. However, it is evident that the number of natural habitats of amphibians in the investigated area has been significantly reduced, and constant monitoring of the condition of their populations is necessary.

Wheat production and demand for improving wheat quality have increased worldwide in order to obtain safe food products and preserve human health. Today, refined white flour is most often used to obtain products, the excessive use of which in humans can cause obesity, allergies, intolerance and diseases of the intestinal tract. Possible risks to human health impose the task of improving the quality of protein and carbohydrates. It is necessary to create wheat varieties with the desired composition of gluten, polysaccharides, starch, which will be used for the production of food safe for health. Also, that commercial production to ensures that products are available ensures that products are available at quality and cost and are affordable to users.

Recently, we have witnessed a continuous rise in the prices of phosphorus fertilizers, which are becoming less and less available, especially in developing countries. In addition, the low mobility of phosphorus in the soil and its immobilization in forms inaccessible to plants contribute to the lower efficiency of phosphorus fertilizers applied through the soil. In order to reduce these problems, efforts are being made to find alternative solutions for supplying perennial forage legumes with phosphorus, which could in the future contribute to an economical and efficient solution to the problem of phosphorus deficiency in plants. One such solution is foliar fertilization. However, today we are also working on breeding plants in the direction of creating genotypes with better root architecture. Also, we are working on the selection of genotypes that can use phosphorus from sparingly soluble phytates, as well as the selection in the direction of intensifying symbiosis with mycorrhizal fungi that contribute to the mobility of phosphorus in the soil.

In the rural areas of the Trebinje region, individual agricultural producers have managed to preserve old varieties of beans and grains that are produced in an extensive way and in comparison with intensive varieties and hybrids give significantly lower yields. The traditional way of production from ancient times, the specific taste of food prepared from these varieties, medicinal properties, increasing demand and significantly higher prices compared to new varieties have influenced the increase in the area on which it is grown. The organization "Slow Food Convivium" from Trebinje in cooperation with the Faculty of Agriculture East Sarajevo performed chemical analyzes and characterization of old varieties from the area of Popov and Petrov field and the goal is to point out the importance of preserving these varieties and to popularize them among the population. The paper examines the influence of different salicylic acid concentrations on germination percentage, dynamics and uniformity of germination, elongation and biomass of maize (Zea mays L.) seedlings in the early phase of growth and development, as well as the effect of hormopriming by salicylic acid on overcoming salt stress. According to the obtained results, the stimulating effect of salicylic acid on the germination and growth parameters of maize seedlings was confirmed, as well as its protective effect in conditions of salt stress. The concentrations of 10-4 and 10-5 M had the greatest effect on the examined parameters.

Using sophisticated computer methods, the mechanisms of degradation of chlorophenols compounds were investigated: 2-chlorophenol (2- CP) and 2,4-dichlorophenol (2,4-DCP) with hydroxy (HO•) radical in water, at different pH values, by the Advanced Oxidation Processes (AOPs). Acid-base species, which are represented in different molar fractions at different pH values, contribute to a comprehensive study of the process of degradation of compounds harmful to the environment. The overall reaction rate constant (koverall) of the operational reaction pathways is in the range of 3.82×109 to 1.76×1010 M-1s-1, at pH 0-14, which indicates the good ability of HO• radicals in the process of compound degradation. Estimated ecotoxicity values of the investigated compounds indicate that the formed product shows lower acute and chronic toxic effects on aquatic organisms.

The aim of this study was to determine the effect of the rearing system (floor and organic) and the genotype of laying hens (Isa Brown hybrid and New Hampshire breed) on the cholesterol content in eggs. On seven occasions during the one-year production cycle (24, 32, 40, 48, 56, 64 and 72 weeks hen's age), 15 eggs from all four experimental groups were taken, and cholesterol content was determined on pooled samples. Based on the obtained results, it can be concluded that laying hens from the floor rearing system had lower cholesterol content in eggs compared to organic, while the effect of genotype on this trait cannot be defined with certainty.

For „in-vitro“ experimental study of the effect of probiotics on the development of microbiota of poultry and domestic animals, a line of „SHIME“ – like models of artificial gastrointestinal tracts in the form of complexes of miniature bioreactors with microcontroller control and monitoring systems was created. Experience in operating this equipment in an experimental study of the effect of prebiotics on the development of intestinal microbiota has allowed to establish a number of features and limitations, which are brought in this paper. The peculiarities of setting up peristaltic pumps, magnetic mixers and the choice of connecting tube configuration are considered.

The paper presents the basic characteristics and prerequisites for improving the production of butter lettuce "Shangore" in order to obtain guidelines in the application of lettuce cultivation technology, stable yield, increased nutritional value and uniform quality. Fertilization treatments in the experiment included: phosphate-based mineral fertilizer, humic acid-based organic fertilizer, and liquid organic-mineral fertilizer. The results of this research indicate that the average value of lettuce yield was the highest in the application of fertilizers with potassium phosphate and the application of mulch combination PE - black foil and agrotextiles and amounted to 45,997 kg / ha in 2021. The lowest yield of lettuce was registered in the control variant and amounted to 22,487 kg / ha in 2020.
