Biomagnetic micro massage therapy basic research 生物磁微按摩疗法基础研究

It has been shown by a number of authors that a pulsing electromagnetic field creates beneficial effects on fractures, pseudoarthrosis, etc. This research represents an introduction of a new method in the low frequency electromagnetic field therapy, called the Biomagnetic Micro Massage Therapy (BMMT). Experiments were performed on rats under anaesthesia. The right lower limb each rat was traumatized using a standard technique. It has been observed that a significantly lower degree of swelling in animals exposed to BMMT, compared to the control group and others.

Measurements of the effectiveness of antenna screens for protection of the head from mobile phone radiation 天线屏保护头部免受移动电话辐射的有效性测量

Measurements have been taken of the electromagnetic field distribution around a mobile phone which was transmitting CW at 890 MHz. The measurements were taken using a mobile phone with a short monopole antenna and were then repeated with a reflector (that is supposed to protect the head from radiation) interposed between the head and the radiating antenna. Measurements of field magnitude and phase were made so that animations of the propagating fields could be observed. Comparisons of the field distributions and conclusions regarding the effectiveness of the reflector could then be made.

Observation of human impedance at 50 kHz for analysis of acupuncture points 观察人体阻抗在50千赫的穴位分析

Human skin impedance was measured at 50 kHz. The measurements were performed on putative acupuncture points and surrounding sites of the pericardium and lung meridian located on the skin between the metacarpophalangeal joints and elbow of a healthy volunteer. Results showed acupuncture point could be identified by skin impedance measured with a 2 mm diameter searching electrode.

Dolphin sonar pulse intervals and human resonance characteristics 海豚声纳脉冲间隔与人体共振特性

Dolphin assisted therapy involves dolphins because of their purported therapeutic properties. The physiological effect of dolphin contact on human beings is characterised by noticeable modifications in brain electrical activity. The actual mechanism of action is still unclear. Through analysis of dolphin sonar signals, and comparison with mechanical resonance frequencies of the human body, a possible mechanism of action becomes apparent and is presented here.

Effective bioimpedance spectroscopy method for evaluation of body cell water compartments 有效生物阻抗谱法评价人体细胞水室

The traditional Cole or CFC basic model might offer too coarse estimations in personalized haemodialytic treatment. To take advantage of the full information content offered by BIS instrumentation the traditional CFC model can be extended into a more convenient model: the Extended CFC (ECFC) model. The ECFC model is used to fit raw bioimpedance measurements to increase the overall estimation accuracy of Resistance and Reactance terms. An experimental comparison between CPC, ECFC model simulations, and experimental data is presented. Experimental results show that higher accuracies (at least a tenfold improvement) over the traditional CFC model are easily achieved.

Analysis of amino acid parameters in the Resonant Recognition Model 共振识别模型中氨基酸参数分析

The Resonant Recognition Model (RRM) is a physicomathematical model developed for analysing protein and nucleic acid sequences. Previously, the electron-ion interaction potentials (EIIP) of amino acids have been used to determine the characteristic frequency of biologically related proteins. In this study, the effect of various other amino acid parameters on periodicity, obtained using the RRM, were assessed. Three functionally unrelated protein groups (glucagons, lysozymes and haemoglobins) were used as test examples. However, no single parameter was found to be a good representative of biological activity.

Investigation of analogue and digital mobile phone low frequency radiation spectrum characteristics 模拟与数字手机低频辐射频谱特性研究

To gain an understanding of the interaction between ELF electromagnetic fields produced by mobile phones and biological tissue, knowledge of the low frequency spectral characteristics of different mobile phones is required. Investigation showed that GSM and AMPS mobile phones exhibit different but distinct low frequency electromagnetic spectral components. It is speculated that these low frequency components, in particular those close to normal brain wave frequencies between 1-30 Hz may produce effects on the human EEG.

Electrochemical treatment of localized tumors with direct current 局部肿瘤的直流电化学治疗

To develop cancer electrochemical treatment (ECT) in the United States, we have conducted basic studies and started a Phase I clinical trial. Our in vivo preliminary results indicate that ECT is effective on RIF-I mouse tumor and rat fibrosarcomas. In the in vitro study ECT clearly demonstrated dose-dependent human oral carcinoma KB cell growth inhibition by colony-forming assay. We have started an animal study to resolve the ECT methodological problems for rat breast cancer. Meanwhile, we began a clinical trial treating patients with recurrent superficial measurable malignant tumors. Our goal is to make ECT a useful alternative method for treating localized tumors.

Myocardial anisotropy in genesis of abnormal Q waves in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy: a simulation study 肥厚性心肌病异常Q波发生的心肌各向异性:模拟研究

Computer simulation with a whole-heart model was conducted to study genesis of abnormal Q waves in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM). The anatomic feature of HCM was modeled based on clinical echocardiogram images. Possible changes in anisotropy as well as in other electrophysiologic properties in hypertrophic tissue were simulated based on pathologic findings. Simulated ECGs showing the main features of HCM were obtained by assuming isotropic fiber orientation in hypertrophic tissue and by changing other properties from normal values. This study suggests a possible mechanism to account for abnormal Q waves in HCM.

Is accurate recording of the surface Laplacian feasible? 精确记录表面拉普拉斯是否可行?

Experimental and model studies were performed to measure the surface Laplacian using a rectangular finite difference approximation. The experimental approach used 10 normal subjects with two sites on the torso. Electrode spacing was 2 cm. The surface Laplacian is theoretically independent of rotation of the electrode array. The data showed considerable variation with rotation. Model studies employed a realistic 23 dipole source. A spherical volume conductor showed invariance with rotation, as anticipated theoretically. A realistic torso, however, showed variation with rotation, although a not as severe as that measured. The average signal to noise ratio was 3.3 and 2.5 at the two sites. These results raise serious questions about the practical ability to measure the surface Laplacian on the torso.

The experimental approach used 10 normal subjects with two sites on the torso. Electrode spacing was 2 cm. The surface Laplacian is theoretically independent of rotation of the electrode array. The data showed considerable variation with rotation. Model studies employed a realistic 23 dipole source. A spherical volume conductor showed invariance with rotation, as anticipated theoretically. A realistic torso, however, showed variation with rotation, although a not as severe as that measured. The average signal to noise ratio was 3.3 and 2.5 at the two sites.
