Recent advances in image analysis of chromosomes subjected to HG-banding and fluorescent in situ hybridization (FISH) hg显带和荧光原位杂交(FISH)对染色体图像分析的研究进展

The use of cooled charge-coupled device (CCD) cameras and recently developed GIS software offer new opportunities for the analysis of chromosomes subjected to HG-banding. We evaluated the efficiency and sensitivity of CCD microscopy to the detection of the genomic origin of marker chromosome with partial trisomy in cells from the bone marrow of the patient with Myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS-RA). The results of our fluorescent in situ hybridization (FISH) studies with DNA probes, performed for the identification of the chromosomal origin of the marker chromosome in metaphases, confirm previous findings. Ability of this procedure to integrate fluorescence signals has contributed to the increase in sensitivity of FISH in interphase cells.

Biological and clinical effects of electromagnetism 电磁的生物学和临床效应

The effects of constant, low-frequency, and pulsed electromagnetic fields on cardiovascular system and immunity were studied. Optimal treatment technologies of total and local magnetisation taking into account the power and vector and frequency parameters of the field have been determined. A scan system of earlier cardiac diagnosis, using the Josephson effect, has been developed and practical foundation of the patient-specific therapy has been laid.

Antisense homology boxes coincide with the "hot spot" regions predicted by resonant recognition theory 反义同源盒与共振识别理论预测的“热点”区域重合

Recent findings indicate that two novel theories, the Molecular Recognition Theory (MRT) based on the structure of the genetic code and on a novel motif termed antisense homology box, found in proteins and the Resonant Recognition Model, (RRM theory) based on resonant energy distribution of delocalised electrons between classes of proteins having similar functions may have common roots. The authors found that in contrast to a statistically expected 20% of overlap in the regions involved in the antisense homology boxes and hot "spots" predicted by RRM there is more than 60% prevalence of co-localization in proteins analyzed so far.

Weak ELF magnetic fields slow the cell cycle clock in root tips of Vicia faba L., the broad bean 弱极低频磁场减缓了蚕豆根尖的细胞周期时钟

The growing root tips of Vicia faba L., the broad bean, were subjected to an alternating sine waveform magnetic field at 1.5 mT at one of the following frequencies: 50 Hz; 60 Hz; 75 Hz. The lengths of each stage of the cell cycle were determined by cell counts using Feulgen-stained microscope slides and a video microscope. The length of time taken for each stage of the cell cycle for all of the treatments differed significantly from the controls. In particular, prophase appeared longer for all treatments. The implication of this is that the all of the magnetic field treatments had some affect on chromosome coiling.

Clustering of source locations based on the transform matrix for ECG simulations 基于变换矩阵的心电仿真源位置聚类

In this work the number of dipole sources required for accurate ECG simulation was estimated. Locations for dipole sources were clustered so that sources in each cluster were transformed to ECG by the same matrix. The clustering was applied to an infinite homogeneous conductor model and an inhomogeneous human thorax model both for the standard 12-lead ECG simulation. In the latter model 19, 116, 326, and 678 clusters were formed from 7046 locations in cardiac muscles keeping the relative mean square errors less than 10, 4, 2, and 1%, respectively, from simulations by transforming the sources individually.

A realistically shaped finite element model of the human head for electric field simulation 一种用于电场模拟的真人头部有限元模型

A realistically shaped finite element (FE) model of the human head was developed based on magnetic resonance images (MRI). Using this model, the potential and current density distributions in the head were simulated by solving the forward problem of Poisson's equation when the injection current was applied on the surface of the scalp. Based on the simulation result and the FE model analysis, a modeling improvement is proposed in order to achieve the best simulation result for the particular requirements of the resistivity reconstruction of the human head.

Correlation between measured surface and endocardial electrical signals of heart 心表面电信号与心内膜电信号的相关性研究

The purpose of the present study was to determine whether the dynamicity of QT-interval, obtained from the standard ECG is comparable with the MAP duration changes. Three different study protocols were used for signal registration at spontaneous, fixed paced and incrementally paced heart rates. The results demonstrated high correlation between the surface QT-interval and MAP duration at various heart rates. The findings afford the opportunity to use QT-interval measured from surface ECG for modelling processes requiring endocardial electrogram registration.
