Attempts to describe the fate of timber Orthodox churches in the region of the former Galicia (primarily Greek Orthodox ones) have been made for over 100 years. They were not aided in the least by the geopolitical and cultural changes that happened in this part of Europe, as well as the permanent loss of research subject matter. Already in 1989, the technical condition of the church in Miękisz Stary was bad and for the next 30 years it deteriorated significantly. The conservation project currently under preparation envisages strengthening its structure, securing polychromes and recreating the original historical environment of the church.

The aim of the work is to review, taking into account the possibilities of touristic use, selected post-industrial objects in Szczecin. Residues successfully managed for tourist purposes were indicated. All of the non-hotel facilities selected were those that have tourism potential, indicating the possibilities of their development for tourism purposes and the features that would make them become a Post-Industrial Tourist Facility (PPOT). Conclusions from the conducted research indicate actions that should be taken to rescue postindustrial heritage, enabling the development of post-industrial tourism in Szczecin.

The departure of Stanisław Niemczyk (1943-2019), has created an immense void in Polish architecture... A man of great talent and great sensitivity and with a strength of character that is hard to find nowadays, has left us. His architectural designs, materialised primarily in the religious space, have left us in awe already at the moment of their construction. He saw many flaws in today's reality. This has its root in the lack of certain rules. He believed that a designer's primary rule of conduct was... Thinking! He rejected styles, so-called "languages of form". His architecture, although picturesque in its forms, has its own unique style, dynamism, charm and atmosphere.

Kinematics has accompanied architecture from its beginning and is strongly associated with its evolution. Over the centuries, it has changed form and function. However, its rank grew at the beginning of the 20th century. Along with the widespread change of the design method in the early 90s of the twentieth century, its forms have become more complex. The study showed that with the development of design techniques, this time should be treated as a breakthrough in the design of kinematic architecture.

The seaside resorts came into existence in Prussia Kingdom just in 1824 together with the seaside tourism that was initiated in France. Suitable location, close to Berlin made Uznam Island the main place of the resorts location. II War World finished their harmonic development. The political decisions distributed the area of island and incorporated the part into new west borders of Poland. The assessment of the character of new investments presented on the successive maps of development of the seaside district with the growth of beach is made in the context of the resorts' landscape (the landscapes forming at the area of Uznam Island historically connected with Prussia still refer to traditional architecture of XIX-centaury guesthouses, resident hotels and "climate" of family sunbathing while new development in Świnoujście becomes a specific "exhibition" – a review of architectural trends of luxury hotels and apartment buildings, separating from the historical context of the place and local tradition.

The article presents a research of a regeneration process launched in a rural area deprived of local traditions. After the collapse of industry, the former workers' housing estate in the village of Wierzbica began to degrade. The degradation process included the breakdown of social ties and the collapse of tradition. The authors of the regeneration programme faced the challenge of rebuilding a collective identity of the inhabitants. The direction of renewal of the housing estate developed with its inhabitants focused on issues related to the improvement of land development, technical condition of the development and technical infrastructure, and the development of a new social program for the residents of the housing estate.

This article involves with airport terminal building structure systems and its influence on the architectural form of the building. Airport terminal’s architecture reflects the identity and the human values of the country and nation. The importance of the research can be formed in the necessity of integration of terminal buildings architectural formation and its structural systems to deliver the building as a symbolic expressive icon. The problem of the research is the lack of researches and studies about the structural systems role in achieving the expressional symbolic function as an architectural goal of terminal buildings. The aim of the research is unveiling the role of structural systems in introducing the expressional function of these buildings and its architecture, as a result, this function will show the development, special identity of country architecture and play a deep impact factor in the architecture of terminal building.
