Modern Methods Analysis of Longitudinally Welded Pipes Production in the Continuous Forming Mill TESA10-50 (Pipe Electrical Welding Unit) of the Different Types of Configurations TESA10-50 连续成型轧机(钢管电气焊接装置)不同配置类型纵向焊接钢管生产的现代方法分析

Abstract

The process to change the strip form is presented for the continuous metallurgical unit consisted of the forming mill, the butt—welt pipe mill, the calibrated mill and the shaping mill. At the Metal Forming Departure of National University of Science and Technology MISIS, the next topics are developed actively: (1) The new caliber designs for forming units lines of different configurations; (2) The computer modeling of geometrical parameters; (3) The equipment manufacturing in the accordance with the modern technologies; (4) The determination of the strained–deformed state of pipe skelp during the shaping processes taking into account the deformation conditions; (5) The determination of energy-force parameters and their analyzing. Techniques based on special prints to determine the forming contact conditions are presented for the different schemes of speed conditions of pipe skelp forming in the roll caliber. Physical and computer modeling are used to study the continuous forming processes. The results of experimental investigations and the contact surfaces parameters are presented in this article. As part of the production facilities expansion the proposals have been developed to upgrade Continuous Forming Mill TESA 219-406 for the production of the pipe the 406 mm diameter pipe with the 10 mm thick wall.

Study of Wear Resistance of Mandrels upon Piercing Workpieces Made of Steel 20Kh13 研究 20Kh13 钢心轴在刺穿工件时的耐磨性

Abstract

The results of an experimental study regarding the influence of the material and calibration of the piercing mill mandrel on its wear resistance upon piercing workpieces made of steel 20Kh13 have been presented. To carry out the study, mandrels made of four grades of steel (4Kh5MFS, 5Kh3V3MFS, 20Kh2N4A, 3Kh3M3F) and two types of calibrations have been used: with a smooth working surface and a specially designed one that ensures fractional deformation in the source during piercing by applying a periodic variable profile to the working surface, representing longitudinal grooves. The effectiveness of using a mandrel with longitudinal recesses on the working surface to increase its durability is confirmed by the results of computer modeling using the finite element method in the QForm 2D/3D software product. The experimental study was carried out on a two-roll piercing screw rolling mill MISIS-130D with barrel-shaped rolls and a guide tool in the form of fixed rulers. The durability of the mandrel was assessed by visual inspection of the quality of the working surface and by determining the change in mass after each pass upon piercing workpieces made of steel 20Kh13. According to the results of the work, it was found that the wear of all types of mandrels is predominantly adhesive in nature (there are traces of metal adhesion and tearing out on the mandrels). The best results in terms of durability were shown by a mandrel made of steel 20Kh2N4A.

Abstract

The discrete control method of the mechanical properties and structure during heat treatment of grade 50 steel vessels with residual heating after thermomechanical treatment on the rolling-press line of the Bogorodsk branch of NPO Pribor is developed and studied. The advantages and disadvantages of cooling media are considered depending on the conditions of heat absorption. The influence of various compositions and concentrations of polymer aqueous solutions and mineral oil on the properties and structure of deformed vessels under cooling are studied. The possibility of varying the cooling media to regulate the cooling rate and properties of rolled products is shown. Analysis of the obtained research results makes it possible to establish collective patterns between the cooling rate, the resulting microstructure and the mechanical properties of grade 50 steel vessels at the outlet of the rolling-press line of the Bogorodsk branch of NPO Pribor.

Experimental studies of force plunge grinding were carried out to obtain the components of cutting forces and temperature in the contact zone of the grinding wheel with the workpiece. Experimental data were obtained on the dependence of cutting force and temperature in the contact zone of a part and the grinding wheel during power plunge grinding on the transverse feed and rotation speed of a part.

Development of a Mechatronic System for the Main Drive of a Cold Pipe Rolling Mill 开发用于冷管轧机主传动装置的机电一体化系统

Abstract

The operation of the cold pipe rolling mill of JSC Sinarskii Pipe Plant is considered. A solution was proposed to modernize the main drive of the mill by forming four subsystems: the main drive, which ensures the movement of the main mechanism (stand) during pipe rolling; drive of working feed of the workpiece by 15–30 mm when the stand passes the extreme positions; front chuck rotation drive; rod chuck rotation drive, which ensures the workpiece rotation by 30 degrees. A mechatronic system was developed that covers each of the subsystems and allows for overall control. A mathematical model of the control loop for technological coordinates of the drive was developed and studied. The developed mechatronic system will improve the productivity of the cold rolling mill and the reliability of its operation while reducing the influence of mechanical loads.

In this paper, we present the results of studies of the chemical and phase composition of alloys of the titanium-aluminum system deposited on titanium using aluminum and aluminum-silicon filler materials. The effect of aluminum and silicon on the heat resistance of alloys of the titanium-aluminium system that are deposited using SvA5, SvAK5, and SvAK12 filler wires is established.

Abstract

The influence of the cadmium plating process from various types of electrolytes and the corrosion resistance of cadmium coatings on the strength characteristics of 60S2A steel were investigated. The research results showed that, contrary to the established opinion that the ammonium chloride electrolyte of cadmium plating has a minimal tendency to hydrogenation, it is practically absent in the ammonium sulfate electrolyte, which makes it possible to eliminate the energy-intensive (and sometimes even dangerous) operation of heat treatment of products after applying a cadmium coating. The corrosion resistance of cadmium coatings is highest for ammonium sulfate electrolytes, both with and without chromate passivation. The use of TsKN additives in all three types of electrolytes leads to a noticeable increase in the corrosion resistance of cadmium coatings.

Effect of Cryogenic Processing on the Microstructure and Properties of High-Strength Steel D6AC 低温加工对高强度钢 D6AC 微观结构和性能的影响

Abstract

In this paper, we study the effect of cryogenic treatment on the microstructure and properties of high-strength D6AC steel with a bainite and martensite structure. The transformations occurring in steel during heat treatment above and below 0°C was dilatometrically studied. Cryogenic treatment in liquid nitrogen is shown to lead to almost complete restoration of the sample size, which indicates a decrease in the fraction of retained austenite in the structure. This is confirmed by the results of X-ray diffraction analysis. Cryogenic treatment is established to lead to increasing the strength properties and reducing the ductility of D6AC steel.

Abstract

Based on the results of theoretical and laboratory studies of structural steel ladle processing with multicomponent aluminum-containing modifiers with alkaline earth metals (AEMs), the thermodynamic and technological advantages of using Ca–Al and Ba–Al complexes instead of standard technology (deoxidation with aluminum and modification with silicocalcium) have been identified. The use of a complex microcrystalline alloy Fe–Si–Al–Ca–Ba makes it possible to combine the processes of deoxidation and refining of steel, reduce metal contamination with non-metallic inclusions (NI), reduce deoxidizer consumption and the duration of melt processing in the ladle.

Abstract

Several copper alloys with the addition of Zn and Sn are taken for the study. In order to determine the effect of severe plastic deformation (SPD) on microstructure formation, these alloys are subjected to severe plastic deformation on a Gleeble-3800 thermomechanical simulator. The study uses a special case of 3D forging—2D forging, using a MaxStrain multi-axis deformation module. Two modes are developed for processing: 10 deformation cycles (20 impacts) at room temperature with a total degree of deformation greater than 7; 20 deformation cycles (40 impacts) at room temperature with a total degree of deformation greater than 17. The results of the analysis of the microstructure of copper alloys after physical modeling are presented in the study.
