This study explored factors that influence women participation in political party leadership in four constituencies of Tamale in the Northern Ghana of the Republic of Ghana. Quantitative research was employed along with questionnaire administered. Ordinary least squares method of regression with a dependent variable as women participation in political party leadership roles were applied. The independent variables were religious affiliations, educational background, financial status, and level of social stereotype as well as the leadership skills of the respondents. The results showed that religious affiliations, financial status and leadership of the women were positively related to women participation in political party leadership roles and statistically significant at 1% level. Also, social stereotype was found to be negatively related but statistically significant at 1% level of significance. Education was found to be negatively related but statistically insignificant. The study therefore recommends that political parties should support the women contestants financially and also set a minimum requirement, in terms of the educational level of women, to encourage and promote education among the younger ones. Political parties should also be admonished to take a second look at the quota system of governance to integrate more women into the political arena.

The paper explored a small sample data on the moderating effect of income on the relationship between social media advertisement and consumer buying behavior in the Federal University Dutse. Instrument’s validity, reliability and subsequently the data normality were examined through panel of experts and also by analyzing small sample data with the aid of SPSS version 22 software. Results showed that the instrument is reliable and the data for preliminary study exhibit reasonable normality. The research explored and validated the instrument of the various constructs of social media advertisement¬ – informativeness, entertainment, credibility and interactivity.

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between corporate social responsibility and performance of listed pharmaceutical companies in Nigeria. Using the ex-post facto research design, secondary data was collected from published annual reports of sampled five pharmaceutical companies listed on the Nigerian Exchange Group from 2015 to 2021. The ordinary least square regression technique was used in conjunction with E-views version 9 computer software to evaluate the collected data. Corporate social responsibility was found to have a positive and statistically significant relationship with profits for publicly listed pharmaceutical companies in Nigeria. Policies favoring an acceptable rise in corporate social responsibility were recommended as a goal for the management of pharmaceutical businesses.

The study was aimed at examining the relationship between accounting records keeping and utilization by small scale business operators in Rivers State. Two specific objectives and two research questions guided the study. Two null hypotheses were tested at 0.05 probability level. The study adopted a survey design and was conducted in Rivers State of Nigeria. The population of the study consisted of 4090 registered small scale business operators in Rivers State of Nigeria out of which 450 were randomly selected and used as sample for the study. A questionnaire instrument titled Accounting Records Keeping and Utilization Questionnaire (ARKUQ) was developed by the researcher and used for data collection. The instrument contained 11 items and was structured on a five point likert scale. The instrument was validated by two research experts in the Federal College of Education (Technical), Omoku and the University of Uyo respectively. It was thereafter trial tested on thirty (30) Small Scale Business Operators (SSBOs) in Rivers State who were not part of the study. The data collected was subjected to Cronbach-Alpha reliability technique. This test yielded a reliability coefficient of 0.77. The data generated from the study were analyzed using Pearson Product Moment Correlation (PPMC). The null Hypotheses were tested at 0.05 probability level. It was found that there is a high positive relationship between accounting records-keeping and utilization in the subsidiary books and ledger accounts. Furthermore, the null hypotheses tested revealed that there were significant relationships between accounting records keeping in the identified books of account and the utilization of those records by small scale business operators in Rivers State. It is recommended among others that small scale business operators be equipped through trainings and education to be able to keep and utilize appropriate accounting records.

Local government councils are established to ensure that the needs of the people at the grassroots level are properly taken care of. The extent to which local governments council are able to perform effectively hinges on the work behaviour of their employees. This study seeks to investigate the employee’s work behaviour and organizational performance in selected local government council areas in Akwa Ibom State. Two objectives were designed for the study as well as two research questions and two research hypotheses. The population of the study was 497which comprise of the three senatorial districts in Akwa Ibom state, while 269 was the sample size. Survey research design was used, while proportional and simple random sampling techniques were as well used in the study. The research instrument used in the study was adapted from different sources. Using Pearson Product Moment Correlation (PPMC) analysis, the formulated null hypotheses were tested at 0.05 level of significance. Results from the analysis showed that absenteeism has a positive and significant relationship with the performance of selected local government council areas in Akwa Ibom State (r = 0.765, p<0.000); while embezzlement of funds has positive and significant relationship with the performance of selected local government council areas in Akwa Ibom State (r = 0.764, p<0.000). The researcher concluded that employee’s work behaviour affects the performance of the studied local government council areas in a positive and significant manner. It was concluded that there is a positive and significant relationship between employees’ behaviour and organizational performance in selected local government council areas in Akwa Ibom State. It was recommended that employees should not be randomly approved to be absent from work and when it is inevitable, works should be properly designed to stopping/disrupting work flows and more control mechanisms such as the use external auditors should be introduced in the studied local government areas as this would help in checkmating embezzlements of funds in the studied local governments.
