Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan TQM yang terdiri dari penghargaan dan pengakuan, kerjasama tim, budaya organisasi, Pendidikan dan pelatihan, kepercayaan organisasi terhadap kepuasaan kerja pegawai. Penelitian ini merupakan kuantitatif deskriptif dengan jumlah sampel penelitian berjumlah 95 pegawai di Dinas Bina Marga dan Bina Konstruksi Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa variabel penghargaan dan pengakuan, kerjasama tim, budaya organisasi, Pendidikan dan pelatihan, kepercayaan organisasi berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kepuasaan kinerja pegawai. TQM berpengaruh secara simultan atau bersama-sama terhadap kepuasan kerja pegawai. This study aims to determine the application of TQM which consists of appreciation and recognition, teamwork, organizational culture, education and training, organizational confidence in employee job satisfaction. This research is a quantitative descriptive study with a total sample of 95 employees in the Department of Highways and Construction of South Sulawesi Province. The results of this study indicate that the variables of appreciation and recognition, teamwork, organizational culture, education and training, organizational trust significantly influence employee satisfaction. TQM affects simultaneously or jointly on employee job satisfaction.

We evaluated impact of employees’ participation in an employee resource group (ERG) on their soft skills learning and development and proposed a tool for assessing competence development that is often difficult to quantify. ERG has a positive effect on soft skills development, however certain soft skills do not develop in the interaction between management and new employees. Some soft skills require focused and organized learning. The role of ERG stretches beyond integration of new employees only. We propose a multidimensional paradigm where the management and organizational culture are considered as the object of development and new employees facilitate this process.
