The author is analyzing the modern socio-philosophical discourse of Internet transformation of the modern world and raises the issue of correct use of term “digital philosophy” in scientifi c publications. Using hermeneutic and system methods, the author concludes that modern social philosophy departs from traditional historical context of using the term to new global meaning for the description of modern digital being.

The purpose of this work is to identify the features of mass consciousness in the aspect of traditionalism, which allows us to draw analogies of the content of mass consciousness of various historical periods. Mass consciousness is interpreted as one of the essential factors infl uencing the preservation of the manifestations of traditionalism. The connection between the consciousness of the masses of traditional society and the society of the present time is noted not as a paradox, but as a regularity. The history of people is an activity aimed at adapting to social reality, to the specifi cs of social existence. In this provision, something fundamental is noted not only in the approach to any historical epoch, but also in the approach to the study of the activity of the carrier of mass consciousness in any historical epoch. Functional aspects (inherited ideological and thinking schemes) of mass consciousness are clarifi ed and concretized taking into account the social context. The mass consciousness of both traditional and modern society orients and directs people within the boundaries of their individual and group actions, reproducing traditional (archaic) norms, values, attitudes and at the same time producing potential changes in society. These are the reference ways of thinking, perception and reaction, transmitted from generation to generation with the help of signs, symbols, myths, stereotypes. These include: the customs of everyday life; the Absolutization of Good and Evil; the syncretism of the triad individual — society — culture; the division of the world into permissible and forbidden; the preservation of the image of the motherland (home) unchanged; ideas about truth — truth and justice. Such constants of mass consciousness ensure not only adaptation to the system of norms and values accepted in a given society, but also the preservation of this system without entering into a confl ict relationship with it to develop new norms and values corresponding to changing conditions and circumstances. In conclusion, methodological principles are recommended that can be used in the study of mass consciousness at any stage of the development of society.

The problem of the human existence foundations in a crisis world has been and remains an urgent philosophical problem. The current situation in the world is not just a crisis, but catastrophic, which aff ects the life and activities of a person in the most destructive way. What are the grounds and conditions for a truly human existence under these circumstances? The article attempts to provide some answers to these diffi cult questions. In particular, it is argued, that refl ection, self-determination, communication and self-activity, associated with large trans-historical programs of development of philosophy, science, engineering, education, art, etc., in all likelihood, are necessary conditions for human existence in an era of catastrophes.

The process of digitalization of social reality, including education, is investigated. The active development of electronic and digital technologies, aff ecting all spheres of social existence, has a signifi cant impact on human educational activity, which, in turn, corresponds to the existing model of the world. The diff erence between the two models of the world in which knowledge is formed is shown. The metaphysical model of the world determines the individualistic type of society and highlights the ability of the individual as a cognizing subject to arbitrarily construct social reality, revealing only the consumer properties of the surrounding world. In the metaphysical model of the world, education acts as a tool for constructing social reality. The dialectical model of the world determines the collectivist type of society, revealing the completeness and perfection of the world. The statement of the collectivist type of social relations is based on the universal connection of historical and social experience, revealing the degrees of cognition and self-knowledge. In the dialectical model of the world, education refl ects the viability of a collectivist society, the level of development of the cognizing subject, and the perfection of social relations. It is established that in modern society, education, thanks to the development and active introduction of digital technologies, develops according to the metaphysical model of the world, revealing the consumer properties of objective reality.

The article analyzes the Biedermeier culture as a translator of the «chameleon character», which makes it possible to single it out as a special phenomenon in the sociodynamics of cultures. It generalizes and clarifi es its essence, the reasons for its formation, subject-object relations in the Biedermeier philosophy of culture, an analogy is drawn between philosophical ideas and the formation of the spiritual and moral foundations of the philistine, which are infl uenced by traditional, eternal, patriarchal values, as well as established political and social economic conditions. The article focuses on the moment of change in value hierarchical structures, when new meanings, new semantic combinations are generated, which gradually penetrate the cultural code, and then take root and become established in the culture. The relevance of this work is connected with the ontological, axiological and epistemological value of the Biedermeier culture, the presence of philosophical content in it, refl ecting its anthropological and sociocultural essence in the context of the general laws of development of cultures, is postulated.

The concepts and data accumulated to date on bilingualism are summarized and generalized in the article. Bilingualism is the presence of two or more languages in a person’s actual life and operating them whenever necessary, regardless of the level of proficiency and medium of language acquisition (natural or artificial). In the cognitive- psycholinguistic perspective, the study of a foreign/second language is primarily about the goals of language training: with a distinct lag from a first language (top-down training) to gain conceptual knowledge of one’s own and foreign cultures and read cognitively complex works in two languages VS together with a first language from early childhood (bottom-up training) to gain the skills of authentic usage of both languages and be fluent in everyday communication. In in the socio-cultural perspective, in multinational states bilingualism is an objective necessity, provided that it is endoglossic. This is an alternative to the full or partial assimilation of linguistic minorities to the language and culture of the majority. The ideal is not linguocultural assimilation, but mutual integration, the formation of a single nation. As for an external foreign language learnt for international communication, it should be mastered less zealously and generally perceived as a mere substitute for an “international auxiliary language” - a simple code, universal and flexible, to convey a person’s individual and national meanings. Acculturation in the spirit of a foreign culture is excluded, it is optimal to focus on the heritage of the internal, national and indigenous, cultures and literatures and learn them in both national/ethnic languages and a foreign language.
