This article is a general description about the importance of listening skill and the difficulties that students may face in understanding listening skill. Thus, it is hoped that teachers can be more aware of listening skill which is as important as other language skills in learning and mastering foreign languages, especially English.

Science is about making sense of the world around us. In the process of learning science, it is assumed that all children are natural discoverers and as teachers our job is to provide a platform to allow children to make sense of their discoveries. However, in this process of teaching and learning, the component of assessment cannot be missed out. An appropriate assessment will not only be beneficial for the learner, the teacher and the parents, but also in general to the society at large to identify gaps in the teaching and learning process. This identification will help in bridging the gaps between the learner and the content. Hence the present study was undertaken to identify the difficulties faced by them in three domains namely knowledge, comprehension and application. The study has explored the means of developing grade level assessment tool in science subject for Grade-VI students as well as created a pathway to identify the concern areas. The test material was developed and was experimented with the typically developing students studying in Grade-VI. The content for the tool development was selected from the Grade-VI CBSE Science textbook. The test material had major focus on three domains such as Knowledge, Comprehension and Application. The selected participants of the study were students studying in Grade-VI in schools around Mysore. The outcome of the study reveals that the developed tool could be used as an achievement and diagnostic test material for Grade-VI students and it could help teachers in finding the level and grade appropriateness of students. Science is an interesting subject which is more of practical part than theory part but from the overall findings was observed that the student’s performance in Application domain is less and there is need to concentrate more on developing skill to survive in the day to day life it. In conclusion it is suggested that teaching-learning and assessment tasks should be carried out in such a way that it tests the child’s understanding the subject as well as his/her ability to apply learning in an appropriate way.

The paper articulates the various literature on the topic and shows the bibliographic analysis of the literature review. The study reviews current research on the use of digital technologies in education, exploring its effects on teaching and learning processes. Findings suggest that digitalisation can enhance education quality, increase student engagement, and improve learning outcomes. However, challenges such as digital divide and privacy concerns must also be considered.

As institutional scholarship commands academic inquiry, the sponsored status bemoans its contingency. This pattern is quite evident in global academic entrepreneurship, e.g., the study of Indian Writing in English, an accidentally forced evolution of English Studies. A similar pattern can be observed in the evolution of studies of Indian migration and diaspora in the Humanities and Social Sciences. This paper attempts to investigate the contingency integral to the evolution of the Department of Migration and Diaspora studies in India followed by a solemn consideration of the sheer absence of Life Writing in the field of migrations and diaspora research. Hence, the inquiries recorded in this monograph will unfold two critical issues - first, to what extent migration and diaspora scholarship has evolved and expanded, and second, why Life Writing texts remained a pariah in the Humanities and Social Sciences research on migration and diaspora. A detailed horizontal and vertical study of the development of the discipline has been attempted to deal with the first issue. A critical survey of Indian Life Writing in English has been presented with relevant examples to explicate the second issue.

In this paper, an effort is made to explore how the Happiness Curriculum is integrated through techno-pedagogical classroom transactions and what the potential outcomes derived from this. The purpose of the study is to explore the significance of the Happiness curriculum with techno-pedagogical integration by citing examples. The Happiness Curriculum was developed by the Delhi government for the holistic development of the education system as well as the positive mental well-being of the learners and teachers. Techno-Pedagogical Integration in Classroom programmes have both made slow but steady progress, and they both continue to grow and modify to meet the changing needs of both students and teachers. This is a study that analyses and interprets documents and secondary sources such as happiness curriculum books, reports, papers and articles, journals, theses, websites, etc.

Using an experimental approach this paper aims to assess effect of gender disparity in education and returns to education on growth of Indian economy. We intend to evaluate effect of gender disparities at work and education on economic growth. Using Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) and decomposition analysis, study shows that gender inequality has negative association with growth of an economy particularly in long run. However, the effect seems to be consistent during short run as well. Thus, we could argue that gender disparity in Labor Force Participation and education leads to negative impact on economic growth.
