The present investigation on F2 population of TCH 1828 X GTHV 15-34, CO 14 X GISV 323, CO 14 X RHC 1409 and CO 17 X KC 3 were used for the variability studies thereby identifying the phenotypic (PCV), genotypic variations (GCV), heritability (h2) and genetic advance as percent of mean (GAM) present in the population. Heritability and genetic advance are crucial selection criteria. Heritability estimates combined with genetic advance are usually more accurate in forecasting gain under selection than heritability estimates. Seed cotton yield per plant was observed to have additive gene action, high heritability, and high genetic advance as a percent of mean, therefore it may be chosen as the essential feature for population growth among all the traits evaluated in all the crosses under study. The crosses TCH 1828 X GTHV 15-34 and CO 14 X RHC 1409 for the trait, number of bolls per plant and the cross TCH 1828 X GTHV 15-34 for the trait, boll weight per plant also had high heritability and high genetic advance as percent of mean hence additive in nature hence could be taken for direct selection for the improvement of the population. All other traits studied were found to contribute non-additive or epistatic gene action, hence heterosis breeding could be performed for the enhancement of the population for these traits.

People have long been affected by epidemics and pandemics of communicable illnesses. The outbreaks have been around for thousands of years. Even in our modern day, epidemics have ravaged civilization till it leads people to despair. In the meanwhile, viruses have always offered huge difficulties that have ignited horrific epidemics and pandemics. A pandemic is the widespread spread of a new sickness. Viral respiratory diseases, such as those caused by a novel influenza virus or the coronavirus COVID-19, are the most likely to evolve into a pandemic. A pandemic is not the same as an epidemic. In an epidemic, many more cases of a health condition occur than would typically develop in a community or area, however the ailment does not move outside. The World Health Organization (WHO) is responsible for declaring when a worldwide epidemic is underway. The WHO achieves this by monitoring outbreaks of a disease and receiving advice from worldwide health experts. This paper depicts the impact of COVID-19 in globally in various fields and also visualize the current status of this pandemic. Keywords: COVID-19; Confirmed Case; Pandemic; WHO

The proposed research paper seeks to trace the public, political, historical and cultural cognizance in two autobiographies of Nirad C. Chaudhuri. Nirad C Chaudhuri is one of the few Indian English writers who have used English language for non-fictional purpose alone. The Autobiography of an Unknown Indian (1951) and Thy Hand, Great Anarch! (1987) remained his best works. The Autobiography of an Unknown Indian gave an account of Chaudhuri’s childhood and student days till 1921. Thy Hand, Great Anarch! takes the account up to 1952.Both the autobiographies give a portrait of the slow but triumphant self-discovery of a powerful writer. During this process Nirad C Chaudhuri was in the grip of dramatic public events in India. Independence and partition of the continent in 1948 were widely hailed as statesmanship and the reparation of imperial wrongdoings, but Chaudhuri drew quite another conclusion- that his country had no future. Nirad C. Chaudhuri’s both autobiographies are more of a national than personal history as it reveals precedence to the environment over the product. And it is more of an exercise in descriptive anthology than autobiographies. Keywords: Autobiography, Indian Independence, character delineation, culture, British Empire

Medium and Heavy Commercial Tipper vehicles in India are mainly used for off-road and mining applications where the vehicles are subjected to severe and irregular road load patterns. In such cases it is imperative that quality of weld joints in Exhaust pipes should be capable of withstanding off road duty cycle. The negative impact of any kind of defect will be magnified due to presence of such harsh road & environment conditions. The current paper focus discussion on the various failures and defects found in weld joints of exhaust pipes. Various methodology has been introduced to detect the modes of Weld failure. After detailed study and analysis, a set of recommendations are proposed for welding of Exhaust pipe flange joints to ensure high durability life of weld joints

Long-term wastewater irrigation or solid waste disposal has resulted in heavy metal contamination in both soil and groundwater, due to the industrial activity nearby Buddha Nullah Area. The remediation of heavy metals merits consideration; however, it is impeded by the expense of these processes. The primary target of this review was to exhibit the theory of concurrent remediation of both heavy metals defiled soil and groundwater by coordinating the compound immobilization strategies. In this study, byproducts such as red mud, biochar and fly ash were used as binders, for the immobilization of heavy metals in combination with sodium silicate solution to produce a geopolymer-based material that can be utilized as building materials. The utilization of biochar for the remediation of debased soils might give another solution to the problem for the soil contamination issue. This study concentrated on the leachability of heavy metals in the unrefined components and the geopolymer as this would be critical in surveying the natural effect of the item. The leachability of heavy metals such as Cu, Zn, Cd, Pb, Fe, and Cr was evaluated based on Indian standards with pH values at 7. The results showed that raw materials (biochar, red mud and fly ash) have higher leachability than geopolymer specimens; also the values of leaching tests for heavy metals in the geopolymer-based materials. Keywords: Immobilization, Heavy Metals, Biochar, Red Mud, Fly Ash.

The goal of this research was to increase the oral bioavailability and avoid the first pass metabolism of Prochlorperazine Maleate (used to treat nausea and vomiting) by creating its buccal patches. Prochlorperazine is a member of BCS II and has an oral bioavailability of 11– 15%. Prochlorperazine maleate buccal patches were made by solvent casting with the aid of HPMC E-15 and Chitosan (film-forming agents), Glycerol (plasticizer), Tween 80 (penetration enhancer), Citric Acid (saliva stimulating agent), Mannitol (sweetening agent), and Ethyl Cellulose (Backing membrane). Twelve total formulations was made by using different quantities of polymers and formulation was evaluated for weight variation, thickness, folding endurance, drug content, in- vitro diffusion, in vitro, bio-adhesion time, percent moisture loss, % swelling index and stability study. Based on results it was concluded that buccal patches (F4) showed enhanced bioavailability. Keywords: Prochlorperazine maleate, Buccal Patches, Bioavailability, Stability

Several Epidemiological studies have suggested that rate of development of diabetes mellitus consequent to taking diverse types of medication is increasing now a days. Several medications have been found to be associated with causation of diabetes. Various pharmacological medications which are commonly used in clinical practice are found to affect glucose homeostasis and interfere with the balance between various hormones like insulin, glucagon, catecholamines, growth hormone, and cortisol. Mechanism for the diabetes caused due to medications is associated with a reduction in insulin production, some with reduction in insulin sensitivity, and some appear to be associated with reduction in insulin production along with the insulin sensitivity. It is very difficult to establish a precise cause and effect relationship between a medication and development of diabetes. Various clinical studies of medications typically concentrate on evaluation of effectiveness and are not powered to evaluate side effects. Several covariant such as the weight gain associated with medication such as steroids or antipsychotics also make it difficult to find that whether the development of diabetes was a primary or secondary effect of the medication. Mechanisms for the causations of diabetes have been linked with range from decreased insulin secretion to decreased insulin action to direct neural effects. Stopping or switching medication is considered as the first step in treating the drug induced diabetes. While the information to support many of the consensus recommendations for treatment drug -induced diabetes is lacking. To establish the optimal therapy for Drug induced diabetes, it is quite essential to understand the potential mechanism which interrupts the metabolism of carbohydrates. Keywords: Diabetes, insulin sensitivity, glucose homeostasis, medication-induced diabetes, optimal therapy.
