We present the analysis and design of a Virtual Companion System (VCS) that helps college level students to manage some psychological problems due to confinement. VCS takes advantage of physiological techniques such as Meditation, Cognitive Behavior Therapy Mindfulness or Poetry therapy, etc., which have scientific evidence about their effectiveness to improve the well-being of persons.

This work has allowed the development of a case study module using the SPSS statistical software and the module has been used as support material for practical activities in the development of the Statistics Seminar course applied to educational research in the PhD students in the Sciences of the University. The case study module incorporates statistical data from the thesis found in the archive of the graduate school. The selected theses were of quantitative approach, of experimental research design in its classification of Pre-experimental, Quasi-experimental and Pure Experiments. The study was carried out with a population of 24 students, divided into two groups: control and experimental; To be able to form the groups, an entrance test was applied; the students who obtained the best scores formed the control group and the others the experimental group. The research instruments that were built measure conceptual, procedural and attitudinal learning. The instruments went through the validation and reliability study. With the Posttest scores, the corresponding hypothesis test was performed; the experimental group obtained better results than the control group; This is probably due to having used the case study module through the use of the SPSS software.

This work presents a model as a proposal for the development of virtual reality scenarios, these scenarios are designed to be a support problem presented at Education and Health. The proposed model consists of various components such as the design of virtual reality scenarios under a specific context of health and education, the design for the generation of virtual reality scenarios in which user interaction strategies are included to achieve their specific objectives. And finally, the strategies to evaluate the user experience are considered in order to have feedback on these generated scenarios. This work proposes the use of Natural User Interfaces (NUI) as a tool that allows offering a better experience in user interaction within virtual reality scenarios. Also, some examples of existing platforms in the literature and how they can be oriented to health and education scenarios are presented. As a result of this proposal, the design elements and components are presented under the proposed model for the generation of these virtual reality scenarios under the proposed model. As a case study, a series of virtual reality applications is proposed for the generation of scenarios aimed at children with learning and language problems who come to a health institution in Mexico to receive language therapy.

The software development is influenced for the acceptance of the users, this has been researched in usability, therefore, there has been development in tools to evaluate the usability of a software. These tools give the developers a score of usability for the software, based in efficiency, effectiveness and satisfaction. An important point in the use of these tools, is to obtain the results of the user without biasing the user, this is accomplished following a standard and a questionnaire. The questions in these tools, for example the SUS questionnaire, have been translated to other language, but in the case of deaf users there are not in their language (Mexican Sign Language). The purpose of this paper is the study of an interpretation of the SUS questionnaire to determine if that bias the user or improve the quality of the test, in the case of deaf users.

The objective is to train teachers of hearing impairmend students to implement LIBRAS educational software in Portuguese in their classrooms. Using avatar-technology and sign language, LIBRAS is an innovative and exciting software for digital games that helps students learn newer and better means of communication.

Around 15% of people suffer from some type of disability in the world. One of them is motor disability, which prevents people with it from walking easily and going up or down stairs. Recent studies reveal that the number one cause of disability is an illness, which is why it is common for people to follow a treatment and require medication. If there is no high therapeutic adherence, the benefits offered by the medications will not be as expected. This work proposes the design of a personal service robot whose purpose is to make it easier for people with motor disabilities to take their medications and monitor their treatment, thus hoping to increase their therapeutic adherence. The proposed robot moves following lines and stops at points where the person is normally within their house and at the time the medicine should be taken. In addition, it has a camera that allows monitoring of the person through an application that can also be used to configure the intervals and dosage of the medication. The tests showed promising results in terms of time measurement and robot movement, however, problems with locating the person were encountered.

The limitations of educational services in regular basic education are a frequent problem that affects the quality of teaching, and in the cities of the Peruvian highlands, due to the scarcity of learning materials or instruments adapted to Andean mother tongues, among them the Quechua language, this contributes to the weakening of the cultural identity of the indigenous populations of the department of Ayacucho, located in Peru. This paper presents the results of a study about the use and effects of the mobile application "Warma" (Warma, means "child" in the Quechua language of Ayacucho), as a tool for learning language and mathematics in Quechua-speaking educational institutions in communities near the city of Huamanga (Ayacucho, Peru). This study corresponds to the continuation of a previous experience, which took place during the year 2019, and in which children from educational institutions of Quechua-speaking indigenous communities located in the city of Ayacucho participated. The results show that the use of the mobile application is superior to traditional teaching methodology in the process of learning language and mathematics, indicating that the use of mobile applications has a favorable effect on the teaching of indigenous languages, such as Quechua, in both rural and urban educational institutions.

Language is a fundamental tool that allows to express, understand and discover immediate surroundings by the use of thought. There are various medical conditions, either physical or neurological that impede total or partial use of language, making mandatory the use of tools to replace or support the traditional techniques and even reassess the usual teaching methods. Augmentative and alternative communication systems allow or support people in these conditions to communicate by using their abilities or by using aided systems that make use from rudimentary tools like pencil and paper to high-tech devices. The latter being very comfortable to use, but due to their complexity they require more effort to be created, reason that causes these devices or applications to be limited in personalization, narrowing the target audience that can make practical use of it. The following article presents the development of a platform for the creation of high-tech aided augmentative and alternative communication systems, from which an expert, parent or guardian can make use to generate the ideal tool for a person with disorders related to language, communication and/or speech.
