We all want to accomplish something in our lives. It is important to know that we have accomplished something of value, of quality, or of meaning. Achieving more increases our self-confidence. Consequently, the more self-confident we become, the more we can accomplish. Failure to achieve our goals can have the opposite effect. We may experience a dip in our self-confidence if we do not achieve something, which may impact our motivation for trying again. This review gives a summary of some definitions and aspects of motivation discussed in the book “Personal Confidence & Motivation” by MTD Training and taking Canadian employees and employers as examples.

Retention is a process to keep the employees working in their organization as one of the most important factor s for organizational success and growth. In today’s global scenario, retention and employee engagement also has a crucial role for any organization in facing the challenges of tomorrow when there is high employee turnover. Most of the time, even highly engaged workers sometimes become unsatisfied with the company’s performance, which causes them to search for better opportunities at other companies. Owing to such reasons, this theoretical article investigates the motivational factors that affect employee retention and examines their impacts on both employees and organizations. Motivational aspects that influence employee retention are primarily financial rewards, career development, job characteristics, management support, recognition, work-life balance and leadership style. Hence every company must look at formulating appropriate retention policies to reduce the attrition rate and improve the employee commitment which will be advantages for the organization in the long run.

Target se tting is a human resource tool for measuring employee’s efficiency to organizational performance. It is suitable for management and employees to have a clear set targets so that they can know and understand their performance from the management and employee point of view. This research assessed the effect of target setting on employee performance of Savings and credit cooperative organizations in the County of Kisii. The research study was majorly build based on two theories which include; human capital theory and Goal setting theory. In this investigation we employed descriptive research design approach. The participants in the study were chosen using stratified sampling, proportionate sampling and simple random sampling. Primary data from respondent was obtained using self-administered questionnaires. The effect of target setting on performance of employees was analyzed via linear regression models. In summary, the obtained results demonstrates existence of a positive relationship on employee performance which exists on the target setting while feedback had a non-positive relationship on performance of employee evidenced by r=- .160 with p .021<5%,. The study recommends the need for policy formulations so as to establish the effect of target setting as a component of performance appraisal. The results showed that good employee relationship with management leads to good performance, Target setting participatory should be good, Necessary training is given to employees who have not met their targets and to appraisers to appraise fairly, Target commitment improves employee performance, Targets help in achieving organizational goals and lack of top management support is a reason for target setting failure.

Algorithmic human resources management (HRM) is becoming increasingly popular among organizations and many HRM processes include automated decision making HRM functions. Research is very active in the domain, and spans across machine learning and data mining, aiming to provide accurate methods to predict best candidates for job roles, or for personnel development among others. In this work, we present a Naïve Bayes based model, which focuses on the preliminary application screening steps, and suggest suitable applicants for further processing, based on a number of features. The model is presented, along with an application in a real case worked with a financial organization and using primary data selected from candidate applications. The results are promising and demonstrate that a mix of professional expertise along with algorithmic support may optimize the HMR processes.

Every government system follows the principle of ultimate powers in divided authorities responsible to promote public welfare and safety through constitutional practice of economic freedom. Pharmacoeconomics deals with cost-effective analysis in alignment with administrative functions of the government in relation to ethical behavior of private companies to comply with the rules and regulations expressed by the legislation and its comparative parliamentary legal system for guidance and control of appropriate ethical conduct as advocated by warranty issues of intellectual property. The intended design of PDE-5 inhibitors for marketing their products for public use as medication is indicated in their patent registration as strict compliance of advocating patient safety. Public funds are used by the government to advocate cost-effective analysis in pharmacoeconomics. Therefore, direct taxation of product services and practice of health promotion must be properly addressed and coordination in aligning the institutional goals with employment law for proper compliance of handling patented products. Furthermore, indirect taxation based on public funds must resolve issues concerning taxes collected from private companies handling patented drug products with clear specification of intended design for patient efficacy and safety. Corporate Governance is a conceptual framework of business designs intended to illustrate the various activities of a company towards fulfilling its profit goals as private stakeholder and contributing to public interests for social obligation of sustainable development. Disclosure of corporate social responsibility is the central mechanism of corporate governance.
