Poetic Language Diplomacy: Reading in Zuhair Bin AbiSulma’s Muʻallaqet 诗歌语言外交:读祖海尔·宾·阿比苏尔玛的《穆哈阿拉克特》

The study aims to examine the features of the language used by the poet Zuhair binAbi Sulma, which makes the reader stand in front of an amazing portrait of politicaldialogue and diplomatic techniques which eventually led to the cessation war whichlasted for years and almost ended the clans of Abs and Theban.The research seeks to follow the minute details of lifestyle back then as the poetdoes justice to those who did their best to stop the war and the absurdity of death soeveryone enjoyed peace. The "inter" cultural dimensions in teaching of FLE in an exolingualcontext 外语教学中的“跨”文化维度

The aim of this research is to propose pedagogical ideas for improving the qualityof teaching / learning of French language / culture in the Jordanian university context.To do so, we will focus on the importance of cultural and intercultural aspects inacquiring a foreign language communication skill. We will then emphasize on clarifyingthe terms of culture, civilization and interculturality, often confused by foreign languageteachers. Subsequently, we will discuss the role of interculturality in communicationwith others and the role of cultural competence in teaching FFL. The study ends with anumber of pedagogical reflections based on our personal experiences and the results oftwo questionnaires carried out among Jordanian teachers and learners.Keywords: Communication competence, Cultural dimension, FLE class, Interculturalpedagogy, Didactic proposals.

The Problem of Mimicry and Presence in Ahmad Shawqi'sSiniyah 艾哈迈德·肖奇的辛尼亚的模仿和存在问题

This paper examines Ahmad Shawqi's Siniyah and Al-Buhturi's Siniyah from acritical perspective that views the relationship between these two works as a case of both mimicry and presence. Mimicry is an essential component of poetic practice that cannot be overlooked and is evident of one’s self-awareness in its present time andcircumstances.This paper seeks to reevaluate and criticize this relationship in ways that mightrejuvenate interest in poetic influence as the means of the latter poet to prove himselfand his presence when compared to predecessor poets. This perception is based on the imitating poet’s fit as seen by predecessor poets, and that the anxiety he has about this situation makes him see poetic mimicry as an opportunity to prove his superiority and, therefore, his right to join the poetic companionship to which he belongs. He also seeks to revise the course of the poem which he is influenced by and correct its path. As Shawqi accompanies his predecessor Al-Buhturi and is influenced by him, heacknowledges Al-Buhturi’s superiority. However, he asserts that the strengths of AlBuhturi’s poem need to be revised to correct the path of the poem. Therefore, themimicry of the poem becomes a field of struggle between the two powerful poets.This paper consists of three sections. The first section reviews the critical debate onmimicry in Shawqi's Siniyah. The second one shows that mimicry in Shawqi’s Siniyahwas his means to revise the structure of al-Buhturi’s Siniya in light of its relationship tothe traditions of the structure of the Arabic poem. The third one reveals Shawqi's visionthat transcends that of Al-Buhturi’s, and how Shawqi was able to prove his presenceindependent of his predecessor and his poem.Keywords: Siniyat Shawqi, Anxiety of Influence in Poetry, Traditions of the structure ofArabic poem.

The Concept of Text from the Perspective of Heritage andModernity: Its Impact on Formulating the Theory of aLiterary Text 遗产与现代性视域下的文本观:对文学文本理论形成的影响

This research aims to discuss the problem of the textual concept in the Arab criticalheritage and the Western critical thought and to show its impact on formulating thecontemporary literary textual theory. It is the problem that stems from the assumptionthat Arab critical thought has originated in the components of this theory, which we findhave roots and references in our critical, literary, rhetorical and philosophical heritage.Hence, the textual theory in the contemporary critical thought is an extension of thislegacy, benefiting from the achievements of philosophers, linguists and critics, and theachievements of contemporary critical approaches.The research attempts answer some important questions such as: was the criticalstudy concerned with theorizing the text? Does the critical heritage have the mechanisms for dealing with the text? What is the role of this critical heritage in the formulation of contemporary literary textual theory?To answer these questions, we follow a procedural plan that falls into three axes.The first one is dedicated to the analysis of the components of textual theory and itsreferences in our critical and rhetorical heritage. The second one is devoted to thecomponents of the textual theory in the Western critical thought. The last one isdedicated to the effect of the concept of the text in formulating the features anddimensions of the literary textual theory.Keywords: Problematics of Concept, Critical Heritage, Referential, Components,Textual Theory.

Establishing the Anglo-French Condominium in Egypt 在埃及建立英法共管公寓

The article highlights the problems that Egypt had during the construction of theSuez Canal due to the financial enslavement of Egypt by the financiers of England andFrance and the imposition of bank loans and credits for which Egypt had a largefinancial debt. While the simple Egyptian people paid for such loans, the Europeanbankers made huge profits. The construction of the Suez Canal, including the cost ofshares, sanctions, opening costs and other expenses, cost Egypt 400 million francs.The article covers the actions of Khedive Ismail, the European financial hegemonyover Egypt, and the establishment of a dual control over Egypt. “Bankruptcy andoccupation” were the main result of the actions of the Europeans in Egypt, which had astrong effect on Egypt and all Egyptians.Keywords: Egypt, finance, England, France, Khedive, double control, financial debt,bankruptcy.

The Literary Sessions and their Cultural Patterns in AmalialSharif alMurtada (436 AH): A Descriptive and AnalyticalStudy 阿马利亚的文学会议及其文化模式——谢里夫·阿尔·穆尔塔达(公元436年):描述与分析研究

This research deals with the structure of the Session (“Umliah”) in Sharif alMurtada’s book (“Amali” 436 AH) which is known as (“Al-Ghurar Wa Al-Durdar”),demonstrating its concept, method, contents, aesthetic form, cultural value and patterns.The Session (Umliah) consists of distinct literary texts, intentionally chosen by thewriter, from different historical eras, and various cultural genres, including Qur'anictexts, prophetic traditions, poems, letters and various speeches, news, narratives,proverbs, and different intellectual issues.The (Amali) Works are a collection of literary encyclopedias, expressing theinterest of the author and the people of his time in cultural, specialized knowledge,religious, historical, moral, intellectual, social, artistic, and other issues, reflecting thelevel of their aesthetic taste in their selection and expression. The author presents thesecomplex issues in an eductional way, aiming to convey such various congnitive contentsto readers by simplifying such contents, so an average human being can understand and intellectual people do not feel bored. To achieve this goal, the author explains, discusses,analyzes, and simplifies and clarifies the strange and vague propositions, presented to students and expressed in lectures held in scientific Sessions at a specific place in specific times and that is why these Sessions were referred to as “Amali.” He allowed for those people who attended these Sessions to share what they learned with other people, so knowledge can be widely circulated among different generations. {"title":"The Literary Sessions and their Cultural Patterns in Amali\u0000alSharif alMurtada (436 AH): A Descriptive and Analytical\u0000Study","authors":"","doi":"10.51405/18.2.3","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.51405/18.2.3","url":null,"abstract":"This research deals with the structure of the Session (“Umliah”) in Sharif alMurtada’s book (“Amali” 436 AH) which is known as (“Al-Ghurar Wa Al-Durdar”),\u0000demonstrating its concept, method, contents, aesthetic form, cultural value and patterns.\u0000The Session (Umliah) consists of distinct literary texts, intentionally chosen by the\u0000writer, from different historical eras, and various cultural genres, including Qur'anic\u0000texts, prophetic traditions, poems, letters and various speeches, news, narratives,\u0000proverbs, and different intellectual issues.\u0000The (Amali) Works are a collection of literary encyclopedias, expressing the\u0000interest of the author and the people of his time in cultural, specialized knowledge,\u0000religious, historical, moral, intellectual, social, artistic, and other issues, reflecting the\u0000level of their aesthetic taste in their selection and expression. The author presents these\u0000complex issues in an eductional way, aiming to convey such various congnitive contents\u0000to readers by simplifying such contents, so an average human being can understand and intellectual people do not feel bored. To achieve this goal, the author explains, discusses,analyzes, and simplifies and clarifies the strange and vague propositions, presented to students and expressed in lectures held in scientific Sessions at a specific place in specific times and that is why these Sessions were referred to as “Amali.” He allowed for those people who attended these Sessions to share what they learned with other people, so knowledge can be widely circulated among different generations. The Jordanian Daily News Paper Coverage of the CrisisSnow Storm "Jana": Analysis Study 约旦日报对危机雪灾“Jana”的报道:分析研究

This study aimed to know how the daily Jordanian newspapers covered the crisis ofthe snowstorm "jana". Using the content analysis as a method, the study analyzedmaterials about the crisis published in three main daily newspapers: Al-Rai , Addustourand Al-ghad through the period between 19 feb2015-22 feb of the same year.The study reached the following results:1. News items came first with of the percentage of (17.8%) then the report with thepercentage of (21.5%).2. The Jordanian newspapers depended on several sources on its coverage.Its sourcescame first with the percentage of (63.6%) , then the Jordanian news agency (Petra)with the percentage of (36.1%).3. The Jordanian newspapers used recorded coverage with the percentage of (37.6%) andthen the reporting coverage with the percentage of (32.4%).4. The Phenomenon of Arabic Poetry Embellishments amongPoets & Narrators up to the 4th Century AH 直到公元4世纪,阿拉伯诗人和叙述者的诗歌修饰现象

Many single narrations of one and the same line of old Arabic poetry, especially thePre-Islamic, are not different because of lapses of memory as commonly thought. In fact,they are often due to intentional attempts on part of the narrators in question to introducesome improvements, starting from Pre-Islamic poetry up to the age of documentation ofsuch earlier poems. Based on recurrent news of such attempts or even, sometimes,documented confessions of these attempts, the present research adopts a comparativeanalytical approach, along with the citation of other new examples of the abovementioned attempts. Indeed, these improvements or embellishments stem from linguistic, musical, semantic and aesthetic considerations. Yet, the researcher firmly deems that academic considerations, on top of which comes authenticity, the original poems or poems should be maintained with no changes or modifications.Keywords: Pre-Islamic poetry, Narration, Rationale of Poetic Improvements, Rationaleof Poetry Embellishments.

The Tools of Manifestation and the Mechanisms of Disambiguation inthe Discourse of Modern Arabic Poetry 现代阿拉伯诗歌话语中的表现工具与消歧机制

Being conscious about the places of concealment and asking for concealingthe meaning away from publicity and disclosure is an aim, ambition, andendeavor that the writer or artist relies on to achieve uniqueness andexceptionality in expression. This may ensure that the reader will not escape thegrip of the text, seeking for an implicit, hidden meaning which has nothing to dowith the obvious meaning whether this implicit meaning relates to a word,signal, and symbol or through writing, space, or punctuation and this ensures aspecial literary achievement which is based on terse style and aesthetic meaningrather than banal style and meaning.Therefore, this study demonstrates a clear conception of the dimensions inwhich the meaning is formed ranging between the obvious craftiness and thelogical circle of sequence which is based on elaborate composition of words andon close relations to reality that does not need intense, logical recourse inresearch and inquiry. The second phase is liberating from all templates of theword and its literal meaning through organized deconstructing of structures andrelations. This study attempts to follow the movement of the meaning through aconscious, profound intellectual journey, emphasizing that the meaning is notrestricted to words but there are lanes and ways that lead to the purpose of themeaning along with the clarification of the aesthetics, psychological, social andpolitical purposes that meaning withholds.Keywords: The Display and Concealment, The Invisibility of the Indication,The Duality of the Pronunciation and Meaning, The Clarity and Mystery,The Arab’s Ways of Concealment.

Cesaire's Tempest Writes Back to the Empire 凯撒的《暴风雨》给帝国的回信

Aimé Césaire, who lived the experience of colonialism, wrote back toShakespeare’s play The Tempest in a play of his own, which he called A Tempest. Unlikenotions of A Tempest as a simplistic writing back, the current research reveals A Tempest as a sophisticated play in which Césaire uses his own creative methods, some of which incorporate the colonizer and others the colonized, to write back to the Empire which Shakespeare represents well and reflects. This research performs a deep analysis of A Tempest, revealing the voice of the Other as enabled; arguing with and disabling The Tempest’s deep bias in relation to the issue of colonialism, and therefore broadening the umbrella of postcolonial thought and discourse, which is welcoming to original methods of writing back. The research reveals Césaire’s practice of transformative methods of writing back, some of which focus on the colonizer and some of which focus on the colonized. The writing back method is achieved by analyzing A Tempest closely— revealing not only the involvement of the colonizer but surprisingly the colonized in the colonizing agenda. In addition to that, new motives of the colonizer’s practices are exposed. On another level, revealing the narrative through the colonized, about what happened and between whom, is the primary method by which the colonized gains back his legitimate power and ownership.Keywords: Oppression, Colonialism, Tempest, Writing Back, Colonizer, Colonized.
